I was forced to check all your previous posts and I found out that you were most active in the Celebrites/Romance/Events and Religion rooms.

In case you don't have anything sensible to say, don't come to the politics room, it's not for people like

And with all the bullocks you just wrote, you think you've made sense??
Funny how you guys drown yourselves in politics and the end result is a total failure
Nigeria as a whole is a failed state

The state Government should be responsible for the welfare of her citizens, and you know what welfare is, don't you?
Now having people walk that bridge isnt a very assuring site that they have a functioning government in that state..

You fight all you care on NL and still plunge yourselves into deep shambles by electing crooks and tyrants.
Cow

grin Cow grin you bad

You have very little sense.
The State Government seems to operate with Magic. Before enforcing the law they should've anticipated this overcrowding.... they should've checked the condition of the bridge ... done structural test to know if the bridge can withstand such traffic... done the needed repairs ..in fact... if it was ever designed to bear such weight. That's their job to ensure the safety of the public. Who would you blame when the railings or the bridge collapse and lives are lost? This is like jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. You have very little sense.

If she has little sense, then you have no sense at all. Are you trying to blame a government who is taking every possible means to safeguard the lives of citizens. If after testing the the condition of the bridge and it shows it bears no strength to withstand the anticipated crowd, what do you suggest people keep crossing the highways or make do with the available as efforts are on ground to build a new one? I repeat you have no sense.

[s]Actually you should think before yelling at the young man. We're talking about a government incapable of anticipating problems with a policy before implementation.
A fee months ago Ojota faced similar crisis after the road was barred. After weeks of suffering, the government finally decided to do construct a wider bridge.

The bridge in Ketu is one of the oldest in the state. Yet it's located few kilometres away from Ojota (sporting a newer bridge btw). Ketu also serves as a link for people heading towards Berger and other outskirt city of the state and yet the government chose to close off the road again without making necessary arrangements.

The government shouldn't implement policies first and then try to fix collateral damage afterwards. We keep talking about palliative measures, yet no one really thinks of it when it should matter. [/s]

Your point would have been noted if you tell me you would prefer people keep crossing the highways than make do with what they have and expect a new one.
Take note, I am not saying the bride isn't in a terrible state. Banning of people crossing the highway didn't start with ambode, and all over lagos, we can see his efforts in providing safe bridges, keep your fingers crossed, a new bridge is already being planned for. And If you still go ahead to quote me, you should also tell me if you would prefer people still crossing the highways as they wait...

Just like the commenter Originalsly you also do not have any sense whatsoever. Its a government duty fine, no doubt, but are you in your mind saying a government is capable of overseeing everything? Then you must be senseless than I thought. Have a good day.

Oga, you don't ridicule people anyhow because you want to make a point.

Ambode boy
, the government knows that lagos is highly populated and majority do not have cars, they should have checked the conditions of all the bridges, and fix all bad ones, before enforcing "No express crossing" law!

Her sense may be little but still better than yours!

So because i commented positively about the state government makes me the governors boy? Your own case is surely that filled with hatred and tribal remarks. I know your type, nothing to say to you.

If the bridge is weak... and the state forces people to cross on it... then if the bridge collapses the state is responsible for the cause of any injury or death. It is the choice of the pedestrian to risk his life crossing the highway... if he gets killed or injured doing so the state is not responsible. On waiting for a new bridge.... here goes the State again with poor planning and tunnel vision. Is pedestrian overpass the only way for pedestrians to get across a roadway? With the high concentration of pedestrians in the area don't you think traffic lights and pedestrian crossings would be more appropriate? As it is now..... did they consider the elderly?... the handicapped?....the heavily pregnant?... those with loads?... how are they to get to the other side?

It's good that you apologised. But you did to the wrong person. There was nothing in Captainbells comment that warranted your insult. If you were properly educated, would have studied a little bit of situational analysis and project implementation.

If your supposed government and you had any iota of sense, that pedestrian bridge would have been refurbished (it is one of the oldest walk bridges in Lagos) before barricades were put up.

Learn to think deeply, spare a second to think through the statements you make before you open that cesspit you call your mouth

You don't know me to start terming me as a tribalistic person! There's no hate here and I'm not tribalistic. I am an igbo man, born in Lagos. All my friends except one, are Yorubas. They have helped me in so many ways and I've helped them too. I currently harbour a yoruba guy in my house. I was very instrumental in fashola's second term bid in my area.

A lady made her point, instead of you to make your points known politely, you termed her as little sense!

I called you Ambode boy because of the way you responded to people's comment.........like, no one should speak against the government. If I am in APC and I see my governor not doing things right, it is normal and sensible for me to speak out against such governor.

Criticise them when the need arises so they can sit upright and work well for the people they govern!

bridges do bounce once in a while tho, but too much of it can cause structural damage to the bridge.

It's same principle bruv or can u walk briskly in a crowded place? They don't have many pedex bridges cos they use 'underground rails'

If lagosians n nigerians aren't soo stubborn n used that bridge by now a new one would have been built years ago.

B4 it was removed, There was a bridge at uniben maingate and 4years in that school I never saw anyone use it(myself included) everything must be force with nigerians.

Sorry bout ur inconvenience tho. I know It's frustrating.

I'm very sure another one will soon be erected maybe close to tipper, like the one at ojota closer to total
