omonnakoda: I don't understand these kind of people. Even if you bring the Dept of energy head to sit down and tell him he'll argue him down. Now he proven himself to have no credibility on subject. Then he had nerve to call people dumb when he can't read simple english. See what pride does. 1 Like |

He was trying to bluff by saying an "INTERCONNECTION" is something else and not a grid |

The well known tactic of distraction. Create a diversionary and meaningless argument to distract from the main issue. No one is saying Canada is the US so stop ridiculing yourself. Can you provide one quote where anyone said Canada is the US ? Stop acting like a buffoon We all know that Onitsha is not Lagos 2 Likes |

Like where we started Why should we have One grid. The main issue is Geography and terrain. The US mainland has 3 grids and one of those grids services parts of Canada which shares a border with the US. Like I said earlier the main issues are Size, terrain and security which impact on COST It may make sense for parts of one country to be on a grid with a neighbouring country and parts of that same country on another grid with another country for reasons of geography. There are many examples of that around the world That is all there is to this so stop exposing you idiocy 1 Like |

Standing5: Standing5: No its not even someone with suspected mental impairment like yourself should know that. Also I said it's part of north america. Stop arguing strawmen points like fraud. The webite like is USA website hence .gov The link I gave didn't mention Canada. Let go of that foolish pride that makes you embarrass yourself. There 3 power grids in usa. Interconnection means power grid we established that. Now admit you're wrong about usa having single power grid. "Pursuant to Title IV of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (2009), the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability is helping to strengthen the capabilities for long-term analysis and planning in the three interconnections serving the lower 48 United States." http://energy.gov/oe/services/electricity-policy-coordination-and-implementation/transmission-planning/recovery-act 1 Like

Standing5: Lol your hopeless interconnection means grid. It says 3 interconnections. The second link says so. Now stop clowing. The east and west grid also connect to parts of Canada btw. Quebec has its own grid. Now stop clowning. You already lost. If your asking what a grid is you have no business lecturing. power grids or “interconnections Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability is helping to strengthen the capabilities for long-term analysis and planning in the three interconnections serving the lower 48 United States. "In each interconnection, the awardees are establishing an open, transparent, and collaborative process involving participants from industry, federal and state governments, and non-governmental organizations. In each interconnection, a diversified steering committee – including at least 1/3 representation from the states – is developing consensus scenarios for future electricity supplies and analyzing environmental and other considerations that will be incorporated into transmission plans." http://energy.gov/oe/services/electricity-policy-coordination-and-implementation/transmission-planning/recovery-act http://energy.gov/oe/services/electricity-policy-coordination-and-implementation/transmission-planning/recovery-act-0 Ps. I know it hurts to admit your wrong but we already forgive you. You can't help that you have learning disabilities. Just accept truth and let us educate you. They are color coded to show they are different and operate independent of eachother. That's why they have different names and cover different part of nation. 1 Like

Good lord, did people read the article or they can't just comprehend what Minister Fashola said? The bottomline he's preaching is that people start looking in the future and stop moving in the past. Stop being superstitious and think (outside the box)! I don't know how that flew over the critics' heads. 1 Like |

Blue3k:Sir, I disagree with your diagram interpretation. Are you implying there are no cities or settlements between those three highlighted regions? Electrical power grid as a system is all about connection of smaller electrical power grid sub-systems. If the grids are connected then I believe they are all one and same electrical power grid. |

Sibrah: Disagree with me? The Dept of energy is pretty clear don't act like the other guy clowning. The grid DOES connect to area your refering to. The 3 grids power the 48 states in Continental USA and parts of Canada. People on texas Grid don't receive or get power from eastern. They aren't even connected to each other. They can supply eachother if requested. "Pursuant to Title IV of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (2009), the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability is helping to strengthen the capabilities for long-term analysis and planning in the three interconnections serving the lower 48 United States."
