Glo network went offline for about 3 hours late Friday evening but to my surprise, for the first time in many years, it is all full bar around Lagos. Even at my office that all the bars disappear and it will not receive a call talkless of browsing is now blasting with h+. It seems they have done major update on their network and it is still like that until this morning. Ever since it is still blazing and the downloading rates is super fast. Any one noticed that? If this is continued, with their low data price, I think we are in for a better internet regime and the likes of MTN and Airtel should expect many loses.
Ncc ànd their supporters claiming we likely have bad services delivery should go to pit.
Even the uploading speed is something else..

Yh...i am, ojodu Berger precisely and its rili messed up here. I have users from different areas as well and most are still complaining.

I observed that too. b4 now I hardly browse wit my Glo sub during d day time. Thus making me a nite crawler of 12am wen d speed is manageable. since yesterday have been surfing d Internet 24/7 wit mi Glo sub n d speed is manageable unlike wat is obtainable b4 during d day time.

Not at all, am talking what really happened since Friday and in Lagos metropolis. Are you using Glo data and are you in Lagos? If not, you don't need to respond. Iam just observing too and I don't want to do it alone.

Glo 4G LTE will change your opinion. Before now I hated Glo, but after trying out its 4G LTE, my view has changed.

I'm shocked myself. Blazing like no man's business. I'm tempted to go for their 2k plan...But mehn..Man's gotta tread with caution.

Lol. My friend even told me that their network is terrible even at their cooperate head quarter in V.I
I think they are test running. If it stands like this for a month, may be we have best indigenous network.

No, in fact it reduced in ekosodin Benin city... Even with full bar I download at 7kb a second!!

To be honest, I agree with the OP. Since friday after their network disappeared and returned, I have been streaming endlessly with buffering. I think they did a major upgrade which has made their network so fast now.

Getting their connections right is something that over the years have become beyond Glo's control. So I don't believe anything you guys here are saying until when my current airtel plan expires, then I'll try Glo again and see for myself.
