I'm about laying 3 couches of blocks on my lintel but the builder said he needs 20 pieces of quarter rod. I asked him what the rods are for and he said it's for holding the roof.
Pls is this necessary, and if yes, is 20 pcs not too much. And what other alternatives do I have?
The house is a 3bdrm, 132sqrm

IF THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE = YES (Oja Agba, done by the carpenter).
IF IT HAS TO BE DONE NOW = NO
IF 20 PCS IS TOO MUCH = ? ?

You can either do it now or let the roofing carpenter do it later - but it must be done.

On 20 pcs, if that means he wants to install at 20 locations around the building; the more - the better.....

Cost is about the same eventually when you add material and labour cost..

I'll advice you use ASBESTOS because they can last the lifespan of the building while PVC can't..

On health factors, both are save... Asbestos is being done with safer materials now unlike those days.

My advice... Go for asbestos ceiling

Aluminium OR Asbestors (Zinc is not an option)

On cost - A lot more information is needed to know how much it wld cost; but budget about 800k for the job...
