Well I dont want to assume but I guess you are saying the previous govts should take the glory for these projects or nothing is actually being done by the present govt.

I believe many of these projects were actually awarded by previous govts but either abandoned or monies were not released for the take off. So the present govt see that the projects are completed.

Ameachi for example abandoned the light rail in PH if Gov Wike finishes it... pls who will you praise for the project?
Now Wike has totally abandoned the light rail project.

Mambilla hydro was conceived in 1980s but nothing has been done about it. If this administration complete Mambilla. Do we give glory to the 1980 govts?
Besides govt is a continuum.

Agreed that Mambilla hydro electric never really got off in the last government, but can can you tell us of any critical power infrastructure "awarded and abandoned" by the last as you want me to believe.

The last administration lack the political will to fix non of our needs. On roads (forget about the claimed construction of 25,000KM imaginary Road projects, abandoned road projects litters every nooks and crannies of this country) he keep on awarding road projects on weekly basis without releasing the required funds to the contractors handling these road projects. On power, GEJ embark on many new power projects which later turn to be more abandoned projects while he failed to complete most of the power projects he inherited from his predecessor,

These are some of the power projects started by GEJ that later turn-out to be abandoned projects

1, 215MW Kaduna power plant, without making provision for source of fuel. http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/fg-awards-contract-for-215mw-power-plant-in-kaduna/5532.html
2, The 10 MW Katsina Windfarm
3, Odogunyan Power project in ikorodu
4, Gurara II project – Niger State 360MW
5, Gurara I Project Niger State 30MW
6, The Zungeru power project was partially abandoned by the Chinese firms working there on so many occasions due to the inability of the GEJ led FG government to fulfill their own part of the contractual agreement (counterpart funding). Note, this project is funded with a $1b China exim Bank loan which represents 75% of the contract cost while the FG is to contribute the remaining 25%. And the FG is to settle the displace settler of the Dam site. The firms handling this project has to shut operation on so many occasions as a result of protest by settlers do to the inability of the FG to resettle this settlers and couldn't pay them compensation on their claimed losses which led to legal battles.

And so on.

Power generation data will always be in a zig zag form except if we have excess reserve. Egbin generation is low due gas constraint.

Let just hope Shell will soon start operating the fixed Forcados pipeline, because they are currently in to power play with delta state government.

The major gas pipelines has been fixed. but forcados and escravos crude trunk lines seems to be the most important, once oil companies can't evacuate oil produced they won't be able to produce gas. Once they resume operations their impact will be well felt in gas supply and power generation.

Re: Daily Electricity Generation Update by realjoker(m): 2:29pm On Mar 14, 2017

So what can we do to make this happen
We currently have in excess of 12,000MW installed capacity but only 7,100MW is available to generate power and about 3,000MW new plants are coming on stream this year and next year. The major problem currently ridden our power sector is lack of adequate and consistent gas supply and liquidity problem.
On gas supply, I don't know the new date for the completion of ELGPS 2, the earlier target was last year December but NNPC could not meet that target. When completed, it will boost gas supply drastically to power plants along it corridor. And if saboteur desist from their nefarious act of attacking gas pipelines.
On liquidity crisis, there is plan in place to guarantee adequate and timely payment to Gencos for power generated so that they can be able to pay for gas to reduce the incident of interrupted gas supplies, about #701b.

Its very funny but shameful that the government of change and their paid online propagandists are no longer interested in landmark projects that will give the country 40,000 mw they shamelessly preached, but are without shame religiously completing projects(which they once condemned) only. Ask them to point the projects they would be brandishing ongoing projects as if that is what they campaigned for. For your information,

1. 215mw Kaduna plant was awarded in 2009, but at some point it's configuration was changed because of environmental issues to now use LPG instead of LPFO which will be trucked from the Niger Delta. I ask, has your government of "change" modified any structure in the existing contract? What they did with so many ongoing projects was to delay them by at least 12-15 months so that people think those are new projects. Propaganda!

2. Katsina wind plant is also a YarAdua's project which was stalled due to the kidnap of S A Vegnet major site engineer by the Boko Haram terrorists in 2012. As at 2015 May, work is 98% complete. So what is the government of change waiting to add the remaining 2%?. Even if it is 1% work done per annum. Fraud!

3. Gurara Hydro1 is a multi purpose complex which includes Irrigation, Hydro Electric Power and to supplicate what is available at the Usuma Dam for the FCT. The irrigation project is done and commissioned by Namadi Sambo while for the hydro aspect; The turbines and Engineering works have being completed remaining the 120km transmission lines to Kaduna substation by Salini Impreglio . I suppose that a 'Government of Change' should have had it complete in 2 years! Always flattering to deceive.

4. Any news on Gurara phase 2. At least the so called criminal past government drove the first phase up to a well advanced stage. What are your saints waiting for?

5. For the Zungeru Hydro, what have you guys really added there? Or are you still settling land disputes? What percentage have you added after 2 years?? I expect you shameless propagandists to be talking about a 40% complete Mambilla hydro 2 years after. Shame.
