chudionu58:
Its very funny but shameful that the government of change and their paid online propagandists are no longer interested in landmark projects that will give the country 40,000 mw they shamelessly preached, but are without shame religiously completing projects(which they once condemned) only. Ask them to point the projects they would be brandishing ongoing projects as if that is what they campaigned for. For your information,

1. 215mw Kaduna plant was awarded in 2009, but at some point it's configuration was changed because of environmental issues to now use LPG instead of LPFO which will be trucked from the Niger Delta. I ask, has your government of "change" modified any structure in the existing contract? What they did with so many ongoing projects was to delay them by at least 12-15 months so that people think those are new projects. Propaganda!

2. Katsina wind plant is also a YarAdua's project which was stalled due to the kidnap of S A Vegnet major site engineer by the Boko Haram terrorists in 2012. As at 2015 May, work is 98% complete. So what is the government of change waiting to add the remaining 2%?. Even if it is 1% work done per annum. Fraud!

3. Gurara Hydro1 is a multi purpose complex which includes Irrigation, Hydro Electric Power and to supplicate what is available at the Usuma Dam for the FCT. The irrigation project is done and commissioned by Namadi Sambo while for the hydro aspect; The turbines and Engineering works have being completed remaining the 120km transmission lines to Kaduna substation by Salini Impreglio . I suppose that a 'Government of Change' should have had it complete in 2 years! Always flattering to deceive.

4. Any news on Gurara phase 2. At least the so called criminal past government drove the first phase up to a well advanced stage. What are your saints waiting for?

5. For the Zungeru Hydro, what have you guys really added there? Or are you still settling land disputes? What percentage have you added after 2 years?? I expect you shameless propagandists to be talking about a 40% complete Mambilla hydro 2 years after. Shame.

Fraudulent Change!
Lolz. All what I see in your post is just rants and more rants. You called this government a fraud, are you for real? If this government is a fraud then what should we call the party that spent $24b on power and couldn't give US constant 4,000MW let alone 40,000MW after 16 years of being at helm of power?

Sir , Can you prove this, can you give a break down of the 24 billion dollars, do not throw figures at random, such is the curse of
the Nigerian existence, you did not answer or reply any of the concerns raised , just a unhinged reply....quoting absurd figures.

That is why i provided the Link, the Ministerial Budgetary Breakdown , release funds were included, which is what made the total
2.74 Tr Naira. Is all there on the Page. Now if you do a yearly breakdown , you would see that on Average
170 Billion Naira per annum was spent on Power in those 16 years.

That expenditure gave over 6000MW installed capacity, some 330,132, 33 Kv transmission lines and more. The recurrent expenditure
staff salaries, for NEPA PHCN ,was also inclusive
In 2016 almost a 100 billion was devoted to power, without PHCN cost , yet we cannot point to any new capacity completed or not
Another 702 Billion would be spent in the Next 3 years,

The main concern is if those who spent 170 Billion /year failed, why would you make excuses for those who are budgeting to spend
over 270 billion, should we not hold their feet to the Fire

Thanks for this clarification, but what would you make out of this
"Furthermore, Olotu revealed that contrary to popular belief, the National Integrated Power Projects, NIPPs, which gulped about $8.23 billion or N1.64 trillion were actually being funded from the Excess Crude Account, rather than from ministerial provisions."
To my own understanding not only NIPP is into procurement of power installation and this post is talking about NIPP procurements as quoted above, There are ministerial provisions for power in every budget what happens to this provisions since the once of NIPP are not part of ministerial provisions?, NIPP was conceived in 2004 what happened to the unaccounted money spent 5 years before its establishment (since it predate NIPP existence)?
And on not answering the questions the guy raised. The answers to his questions have been answered before, you can check my earlier posts and if you felt unsatisfied with my earlier answer you can ask your own questions I am always ready to attend to any of your concerns.

OK , lets play ,....Its friday , There is time to end debates and wrong info, the average 170 Bn per year was to enable straight line comparison
not to validate ignorance, if you paid more attention you would have noticed that converting the NIPP money at the exchange
of the times of contracts would give lesser amounts.

But you saw its as a justification of ignorance and that is the pity, i have done dollar conversion of a majority of the disbursed
expenditure on power, using a blended average of the exchange rates you provided and the figures from the Senate hearing link.

I have left some for you to do , so we can be on similar wavelength and banish false date to limbo. The budgetary expenditure

i am quite sure it is less than $24Bn except if you like inflating and jokes, no one is saying APC has failed, not at

PDP failure should not be an excuse for an APC non performance.

Probe Obasanjo’s $16b Spending On Electricity, SERAP Tells Chief Justice of Nigeria

This is SERAP calling for the investigation of the $16 bn allegedly spent on power by OBJ lead government alone.
Let both agree with your(our) calculation $7.2 Bn + $8.23 (NIPP) + $ 1Bn = $16.43 bn, tell me if there is any justification for this amount spent on power by PDP lead FG government infrastructure wise or performance wise?
NB: put this into consideration Kanji, shiroro, Jebba hydroelectric and Egbin, Sapele phase 1 and 2, Ughelli(now Transcorp power) , afam 4 gas power plants existence predate PDP government and Ibom power plant is owned by Akwa ibom state government.
I am not on the defensive side of the current APC lead FG government but sees no reasons yet to pull my full trigger of criticism on them base on some certain fundamental challenges. I clearly stated in my previous post that I am always ready to criticize the current APC lead FG government constructively. but not ready to engage myself in unproductive argument with people who are still intoxicated with PDP led FG regime.
