Ngozi123: The FG have not done anything remotely anti Trump. Ipob does not speak for the American people. |

Aigbofa: I didn't say that they have; I said that it appears so, going by this article's narrative. Ipob protesters celebrate Trump's victory and Nigerian security services injure/kill these protesters therefore the Nigerian security services are targeting them for celebrating Trump's victory. We both know that that's not the case but this is what it'll look like to many who aren't familiar with the recent events in Nigeria. 1 Like |

Ngozi123: That is a little bit of a stretch, ipob was not created as a Trump support group, and this was not the first time they will have a confrontation with the security services. |
Re: 11 Killed In Pro-trump Rally In Nigeria- New York Times by Ngozi123(f): 6:44pm On Jan 21, 2017 |
Aigbofa: It's a stretch but that's how it's being portrayed in the media: pro-Trump group shot at by Nigerian police or something to that effect. Those who don't really care about what's going on in Nigeria will take it at face value and think that the Nigerian government is against Trump. Those who're interested by what's going on in Nigeria will read more about IPOB and end up learning about the Biafran movement and the previous atrocities committed against them by the Nigerian army/police force. The Nigerian government doesn't look good in either case. It's something that could have and should have been avoided. 1 Like |

Ngozi123: We have seen it all before. Ojukwu used pictures of starving and dying children as props to wage his propaganda war against Nigeria. In my humble opinion if things like this actually work you would have achieved Biafra a long time before now. |

Aigbofa: You're comparing the 1960s to now. People back then didn't have as many resources as they do now to find out what's going on in the world. They don't need to rely on propaganda from anyone as they have the tools to find out information for themselves. Besides, no one is talking about war here. All we need is to raise awareness about what is going on. That is the first step. 1 Like |

Ngozi123: Not true, the Biafran war was probably the first war the world would see in real time on their TVs. Ojukwu's propaganda was very effective but it didn't win the war or result in Biafra. Why then is ipob following the same failed tactics used by Ojukwu? |

Aigbofa:The 60s is different. The geo-political realities are different. Balkanization of nation states was rarely supported by the world powers. Now since then ,the US has disintegrated over 5 nation states in the midst of their hollow soverignty. Don't deceive yourself at all. And yes, agitation actually works now. That is what the civilized world uses. And is a sharp departure from ojukwu's civil war approach. 1 Like |

cstr55: Nothing is impossible but just like in the 60s ibos will not be able to break away from Nigeria unilaterally. It will take more than the current Mickey mouse Nnamdi Kanu led nonsense. 1 Like |

Aigbofa:Actually, if Nigeria was a sane country with sane leaders, Nnamdi kanu the fool who came to Nigeria and got arrested should not be able to pose any serious threat. But your buhari has done the work for him. Shooting protesters in cold blood to preserve a hollow sovereignty . Who does that nowadays? Anybody with a brain knows that is the first step to turn a movement into a revolution and that is why countries generally avoid too much force in dealing with mass protest. IPOB is now generating good-will and attention just like palestinians. And they paid for it with their blood, so yes they have earned it. Thank you Buhari. 1 Like |

Aigbofa: Shattap! we are yet to see if Nigeria makes it to the end of the year. Obama did not visit Nigeria, Trump did not invite Nigeria to his inauguration. I think they already know the country is expired and will soon cease to exist. The north know this and likewise the SS/SE, the only people that fail to comprehend that simple fact are the afonja, makes me wonder how Oduduwa will be.
