Some days ago, i met a friend who was a great player during d early 90s n late 90s precisely b4 d advent of GSM phones in Nigeria and we started recallin on old times how he used to chyke d ladies without phones. Men it was funny, stressful, hectic n u can even call it endurance trek.

He told me how he bribes d girls friends, gatemen, cooks, drivers, housemaids, security men jus 2 c d girls, he told me how he writes love letters tru her friends, how he goes 2 d ladies house in d nite, how he goes to d ladies school, how he jumbs fence, how he took countless trips tryin 2 c d ladies. His discription was so funny but i kind of feel 4 him during those days cos presently all we do is jus try n get a ladies number and make d call or send an sms to d lady. wit GSM phones available dis days, we don't even go tru much troubles askin a lady out.

So nairalanders, how did u ask a lady out b4 d advent of GSM technology.

In my language they say 'Beke bu agbara' meaning 'white men are wizards', na love letters dey reign those days,Remember,starting a letter with "DITTO", sealing with with love and all those crazy write ups,then findn a way to smuggle it to the girl. Also the intro of gsm really help,no more friend go check u for house and meet u absent,when he/she could have called earlier.
