Hello guys,
Just a little advice for those asking for info about schools and supervisors.

For schools:
Google is your friend. All you need is patience... search, you will definitely find schools that match your criteria in terms of fees, qualification etc.
If you have any questions, you can always email the schools or better still call. I searched for months, day and night even while working on my research papers. After which, I Called and got all the info I needed before finally applying. There is only so much anyone can do here if you dont start the search yourself.

For supervisors:
There is no one method fits all.
I sent to over 50 in various countries and got response from 15. With respect to canada, the supervisor I got there and my lab already have a collaboration. In fact we worked together on my papers, so he wanted us to continue thereby asking me to apply there.

In a nutshell, like Osemigho said, write to them, responses might not come instantly, heck some might even come within minutes, but all you.need is patience and God.

I saw yesterday dat a lot went down here.i just want to state some things I observe in my application dat works and it can help others too.
1. My undergraduate studies was in Production engineering(Industrial and manufacturing), during my nysc....I worked as a physics,maths and basic tech teacher in both private and govt school in ogbomoso,oyo state. after that I got my first job also in a school...Hopebay college in mazamaza lagos as Physics and Basic Technology teacher for like 4months...I processed to a Graduate Teacher Training Prog, for 3month where I was opportuned to start learning Lego Robotics from d scratch..... while on the training, I got a job with LM Ericsson as Front office Engineer...I worked for like 4months doing that job and the teacher training simultaneously until I got a full offer to work in that international school as 1. Design and Technology teacher. 2. Auto-mechanics teacher and as a STEM(science technology engineering and maths) instructors from 2014 till date.
The above statement was used like that in my SOP to explain to the VO how my UG,work experience are related to what am going for in canada. I also emphasise on my SOP my Research interest....not just stating that am going for Msc in Mechanical eng. I told VO on the SOP that my research interest is Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics....mind you all the documents I have relating to robotics and some of my lesson plans on design and tech was also submitted as documents to the embassy. All dis matters a lot when applying for TRV.

2. There was a form I filled during my medicals at consultant pratice that stated you fill your Name,marital status, Job title, email,phone no and signature.....I was told by the doctor maybe mistakenly that they also submit a copy of that form to CIC. now on that form you have to be sincere with the info you filled so that it correlate with what you have filled in the IMM1294E form....am not sure thou jut my opinion.

3. I can't remember anything now but if I recall some tips that I fill really helps I will post. But please my people if your sponsor has dependants and he or she wanna sponsor you to canada....mehn I will say you need to think deep and make sure you do your maths well especially when the sponsor is not father or mother.

It will go a long way. an Affidavit of fact that all your children are independent and no one is dependent on him or her will solve part of the issue of insufficient funds.

TO GOD BE THY GLORY. If you know that God's testimonies will never seize here and in your house hold please wherever you are help me praise the LORD. God did it this morning. I checked my CIC account and my heart was like gheghegheghegheghegh because I saw "A final decision has been made" check below. Gurus and everyone I could not scroll down for like 10min on till I gathered courage and behold I saw......Your application was approved. Check your messages below for details...... I just jump out of the office and hug the first person I saw and I started praising God. God is Awesome my people.

Lesson learnt is that,
1. first timer please endeavor to read past thread even when its lengthy try to read am as if you are jacking a course of 6 credit load. I did and it pays off now that I could seek for my admission and TRV myself with the help of God and The wonderful Gurus in the house.

2. After that please be sincere and have faith in God. Never think negative about your application.
3. Loads of Prayers and Fasting. as for me I fast every Tuesdays and pray with my wife everyday because it was on a Tuesday I submitted my TRV application.....Lol.

God is faithful.
Am really indebted to God and to the Gurus I met here. thanks @MichV, Yemmdogg, folaroyal, TheSoj, Mcowubaba(Even when you abandoned me in the middle of vetting my SOP. you are great Man.), Austinpee4, Nony1(Get ready to accept me as visitor.), Osemigho and the rest people in the house.

Please here is a note of caution to prospective lambton college students, I would strongly advice that henceforth, applicants should apply via Maple education by paying 50k or apply directly if you are able to provide an English test result.
Got admitted into lambton college after lots of mails,persistence and arguments, got refusals from western university and conestoga college.

I disagree with you, alot of pple v used PR n got deir TRV, just ensure u are able to prove ur home ties effectively....

even when I look at people's Transcripts after TRV approval on here, they didn't know they did the right thing during visa application but they come here to quote i didn't put/state home tie, I didn't add personal asset e.t.c and I got my TRV but not knowledgeable that some documents and connections in their application portray such.

We have frequently seen here how applicants fail to justify reasons why a company will expend huge resources for a 1-2 years program for an individual/employee. This is understandably so because a company will likely sponsor a value added(to the company) short trips.

So if you have justifiable reasons, you can use a company SOA. If not, do well by using a well built personal SOA of 6months and show prove of the source of the inflowing and accumulated funds.

6 months SOA is the required of nigerian applicants by the visa office. Be it company of personal. You can decide to print more than 6months but not less as instructed by the visa office.

Best way to go about this is for the sponsor to pay the full tuition and also transfer your living expenses to you.

By doing so, CIC may not really bother about where he/she resides and all.. Main thing is that you have funds for your study and yourself and can access it at anytime a need arises.

This is the main thing about funds availability. It MUST be accessible by the applicant. This is why a 3rd party sponsor will do more than just stating or writting.

Guy why won't you just forget this ISH and let bygone be!? This is not the first time critics will be coming to people's post. The fact that it came does not mean that one must argue over and over to win critics. Please try to use Online. Paper route is quite funny.

I was asked for additional documents that I had already submitted.

But that doesn't establish that Online is a safe haven.

Just do your best and make sure your application is great.

Do not hurry; take your time.

People have gotten TRV with both routes.

I got mine with paper.

IRCC is merit based; If you work hard and submit a great application, your Visa will be approved; albeit there may be unlucky situations even after satisfying all the requirements; but if unlucky, you should try again.
