Conventionally, the 18th day of November is usually insignificant except for persons who would be celebrating birthdays, weddings and anniversaries e.t.c. This year however, this hitherto insignificant day has decided to be significant and eventful. The day depicts a lot for Anambarians who were supposed to troop out en-masse to elect a new leader for the next four(4) years or re-elect their Governor. November 18th was tagged "the judgement day " for Anambara elites and commoners alike. Emerging political activities and underground consultations with a range of political machineries had been put in motion for the crucial judgement day for "Ndi-Anambara", before the bombshell that hit the South-East , which will turn the eye of the whole Country to Anambara State on November 18. Indeed, November I8th has gotten more than enough publicity and controversies than it would have bargained for. Following the surge of IPOB activities led by " Mazi" Nnamdi KANU , the organization decided to make it's impact felt not only across the South-East but the Country at large , sending a strong signal to the Federal Government that they were not dogs that only barks without biting but could devour. Again, November 18th was chosen, this time christened "Ofe-Nsala day" by the IPOB which have invoked the Operation Python dance by Nigerian Military in the South-East. The motive for their actions was to rally the IPOB community in Anambara and their sympathizers to boycott the elections and brandish their popularity to the rest of the world and their antagonists. Going by their online presence, it was almost certain that the IPOB would have a field day. However, the events of recent weeks have brought a new twist to the story. The military invasion of "Mazi" Kanu's abode which led to the disappearance of the IPOB leader and his parents accompanied with the Python Dance operation may have been responsible for the level of normalcy enjoyed for now in the region and have cleared the coast for political activities to continue. We must however, never underestimate the capacity of IPOB , who may have gone underground in their operations but surely haven't quit because like a gospel, the missionary can be killed but the message keeps spreading. Also, the disappearance of "Mazi" Kanu from the public scene should be suspected ,for wherever he is at the moment may not limit his monitoring and coordinating activities at home. Whichever way the November 18 saga sways to, it will be a mother of all fights between the IPOB and Federal Government, over the soul of about 2.2 million registered voters in Anambara and the message is clear, the Government haven't done enough to win the trust of Nigerians and "Ndi-Igbo" in particular. The outcome of November 18th will to a large extent , define the future of IPOB activities. "Will it be the final nail on the coffin of IPOB or a lease of life?" , November 18th will answer all the questions and tell the story.

By now, some people will not even recognize their course mates. Lecturers will need to reintroduce themselves self. |
Soon Mr. Eazi will join the list when we chase had m back to Accra. |
Op ,You have made a lot of sense here. While IPOB may be stopped today, if issues are not addressed with urgency and Igbos made to see any good in One Nigeria, thing will escalate later. |
Many people are asking why the power generation is high and there is no electricity. This is because the discos don't have capacity to distribute the power generated, hence causing power wastage. |

Leesah:Hello , I would never wanna dictate to her what to do with her story. Just that I felt we had seen much of those kind of endings and I would love to see her do something different. Eg. how do you see the ending of Chimamanda Adichie's 'half of a yellow sun'? The anti-climax at the ending leaves the reader craving for more. No hard feelings though. |
Who else feels sad that this story is coming to an end?...... cbella , I feel this book is going to end leaving everybody happy and grams , going to jail. I suggest that to spice this book further , you could add some tragic events I.e Kate losing her babies and Stacy disappearing after reconciling with everyone. Intact , just some twist. My humble input. |
op, you know you have got this way of twisting issues when we thought our adrenal glands would get a rest. which one is pearl being pregnant? .....Only 2 nights of touching body for that matter. |
Estherfabian:Sis you just fed a soul, thanks. |
[quote author=cbella post=60255570]Lol... so you were the one on my thread every 1am when i wake up eehh Thanks, i really apprecite you logging in just to comment. But i would appreciate comments on the shortcomings as well. GOD BLESS YOU[ I also love to write and I know how hard it is for you not to switch from telling your story in the omnipresent mode to that of a character. I won't blame you so much for that although you need to work on that. Maybe sending your work to a professional editor will help you learn the ropes. My 2cent though, hope it helps.] |

That speech is too much. Any change that doesn't translate to food on the average Nigerians table is *boosit. I don't expect change in a day but I expect to see signs that we are leaving egypt. |
Hunger and frustration from bad leaders have clouded the youths sense of patroitism. Let's keep our fingers crossed as we await that revolution that will sweep this country . # anywhere outdide stadium surepass for me . |
Dat guy who booked space on top, God is watching you. Nigerians are funny, expect some dudes to come here and say "how does this make rice 9k?" They should also add recession allowance because hardship allowance will not be enough. |
APC have entered one chance with jagaban because you may pluvk out his eyes like samson but he will pull down the whole building before retiring. Odie Oyegun is too old to be locking heads with jagaban because even if small boys come out to point at their father , he as an elder who had been there in NRC should not join them. |
Since I read this news I have been looking for who will tell me thank you . If thank you gave mama peace $20 million then God should give me a thank you of 5 million naira , I hope am not been greedy. With the rate of thank you I wonder how much uncle jona has or how much daddy bubu and aunty aisha will have before 2019. *** laughing in swahili. |
It is so pathetic the way we have allowed this fight against corruption to be loopsided. If it catches a pdp member , their supporters will cry foul and so to the apc members. Some people above me are trying to redeem PEJ'S image by saying Buhari and his cohorts are corrupt but they fail to address the issue at hand. I don't even need to think before I know the truth, if Jona didn't want to soil his hands with corrupt money I know Peace must have played the role of Gehazi. |
