Saving Nigeria by EmperorOlu: 7:31pm On Dec 29, 2009
I will like to introduce myself to the people on this forum, I am a 30year old Nigerian living in South Africa. I left Nigeria in 2002 and have yet to return to my homeland. When i left Nigeria my intention was to go to London or the USA but somehow i got stuck in South Africa. Luckily for me i soon realized that i did not need to go to England or the USA to become successful, all i needed was a well developed country that offered great opportunities. I thank GOD for my life today because i built my empire from scratch and i am very successful entrepreneur  in South Africa. For my own security i will not mention my real name here. I have created this topic to voice my views on how i will turn Nigeria around if i were to be in power. What i am about to say here may anger some people or make some people think deep. Practically i don't sugar coat things ,I say it as I see it.

One thing I have noticed is that the only way to make Nigeria survive is to bring back "white" people to manage our departments state governments, local governments and other government divisions, i know some dumb people will start cursing me now. The reality we must face as Nigerian is that we are incapable of managing our country ourselves. Now I am not saying Nigerians are not intelligent but that most Nigerian are selfish by nature. Look at the government we currently have, almost all the people in government have two bachelor degrees or PhDs yet all this educated PDP and AC guys have a lower IQ than my dog.

My Yoruba people have a saying that goes like this; "Imo Tara Enikan" which means "the love of one self”, that is the problem we have in Nigeria ,every politician is worried about his pockets only.

Even though our leaders are educated, they lack common sense. They are however specialist in stealing sense

3/4 of the 7 billion Naira allocated to the building of the VP house will go to private pockets and this JULIUS BERGER company which has been assisting the Nigerian government to rip Nigerians off has won the contract yet again. Julius Berger is a wacky company that uses sub stand materials to build that is why many of our infrastructures built by them are crumbling today but our government continues to issue contracts to only this company in the whole of Nigeria.

Nigerians don't know how to govern properly or run an organisation; they perform better in lower positions, case in point

Nigerian state government and ministries are run by Nigerians
Shell Nigeria board of director consist of Nigerians
Chevron Nigeria board of director consist of Nigerians
Mobil Nigeria board of director consist of Nigerians
Julius Berger board of director consist of Nigerians
Dstv board of director consist of Nigerians
MTN board of director consist of Nigerians

If I want my government to succeed I will never employ a Nigerian to head my government departments, instead I will hire qualified expatriates to manage my department and hold managerial position at higher levels. I will only employ Nigerians in lower managerial level where they can be monitored by their expatriate superiors and disciplined without fear or favour. This is the only way we can restore credibility to our nation. The reason I insist that we allow whites to run our state and local government is because they will be employees of the imperial government, they have no political affiliation and they will not be corrupt because the punishment in the new government for corruption is the death sentence. This way we will have dedicated, honest individuals who will be motivated to make the best decisions in the interest of the people. This will lead to non corrupt management of state funds and affairs.

If we can stem corruption in government and private sectors as well as generating more than enough electricity .Investors will pour into our country like rain and more jobs will be created for the youths.

Another thing that pisses me off is the standards of websites in Nigeria. I mean website are the easiest thing to build but in Nigeria the websites being built are appalling. Do you know that this same government that want to build a 7billion naira house does not an official website or presidency website?
The Nigerian government is a disgrace to Nigerians, just Google Nigerian government and you will realize that our government does not have an official website.

Look at South Africa’s govt website: http://www.thepresidency.gov.za/
Look at Ghana’s govt website: http://www.ghana.gov.gh
Look at Togo’s govt website: http://www.republicoftogo.com/
Look at Benin’s govt website: http://www.gouv.bj/
Look at Liberia’s govt website: http://www.emansion.gov.lr/

Our senate website is so appalling it looks like the work of a two year old: http://www.nassnig.org / , http://www.nigeriansenate.org , http://www.nigeriansenate.org

Look at South Africa's parliament website : http://www.parliament.gov.za/live/index.php

Political parties
Nigerian PDP : http://www.pdpuschapter.org/1.html
south african ANC : http://www.anc.org.za/
South African DA  : http://www.da.org.za/

This annoying problem also exist in the private sector because or our "manage manage" mentality, instead of doing great things we prefer to do cheap and steals for our own selfish purposes:

Here is union bank nigeria’s website: http://www.unionbankng.com
Here is zenith bank's website : http://www.zenithbank.com

Here is south Africa's ABSA bank website: http://www.absa.co.za/absacoza
Here is South Africa's Capitec bank's website : http://www.capitecbank.co.za
Here is South Africa's FNB bank's website: https://www.fnb.co.za/

Telecommunications:
Nitel : nitel has no website
South African telkom : www.telkom.co.za

At this point I must say I am very much proud of the glo website :  http://www.gloworld.com

Another thing I have noticed is that Nigerian companies don’t make use of the “com.ng” domain which is very wrong. In countries like South Africa ,Australia and UAE ,they use .co.za , .com.au , .ae  respectively which is their country’s domain in Nigeria we tend to use American domain e.g. .com ,org .net , e.t.c . I think this trend needs to be stopped, if we are proud of our nation like we say we are we should be conscious of what we do and represent our country using all forms and mediums. A law should be passed by senate mandating all Nigerian based companies to use the Nigerian domain, even MTN uses www.mtnonline.com as their Nigerian website address instead of www.mtn.com.ng .But in South Africa MTN follows the rules and use www.mtn.co.za . I don’t blame them if our own senate can use .org which is an American domain ,what do your expect ordinary companies to do? If we don’t regulate our industries no one will respect our country.

As a web designer myself i am really frustrated to see how these monkeys who call themselves our leaders are totally brainless, they talk about re-branding , how can they re-brand when you don’t even have a website that the world can see? With less than a thousand dollars a high class website can be designed for the Nigerian govt and with a monthly fee of $80, the website can be maintained and professionally updated.

I want you guys to take a look at something

Here is the river state government's website designed by a Nigerian: http://www.enugustate.gov.ng/
Here is a website designed by a South African to document the new golf city in enugu: http://www.enugulifestyle.com/

Do your see the difference in quality, the governor’s picture on the South African built website looks better than on his own website, isn’t that a wake up call for the enugu state governor himself. We can steal money but we can't put it to good use. We can't project a modern image and attract investments if people can’t see anything on the internet about our country. That South African built website is so beautiful that it makes me want to buy a property in that golf estate.

In South Africa state are known as provinces and local government are known as constituencies. Almost all  provinces and municipality has a website of it own ,here are some examples :
Province
http://www.gautengonline.gov.za/
http://www.ecprov.gov.za/
Municipality
http://www.joburg.org.za/
http://www.durban.gov.za/

I am so disappointed in the way we do things in Nigeria, you can hardly find any information on the internet about Nigerian property developments and to make matters worse ,Nigerian real estate agents don’t have websites and prefer to use a free yahoo email addresses and cell phone number as their main contact. No level headed expatriate will do business with someone who uses a yahoo email address. We need to change our work ethic rapidly otherwise the world will leave us behind. Just take a look at this south African property website ; www.pamgolding.co.za  or www.seeff.co.za

The problem is that unlike in South Africa where all industry and sector guided by certain laws and rules, Nigeria industry are lawless and can practically do whatever he wants whenever he wants. We need to make new rules and regulations that will guide all sectors and ensure that we meet up to world standards. it is our falling standards that ruined Nigerian airways, Nepa and Nitel.

I know many of you will wonder why I reference South Africa in my comments a lot, well it is because I admire what they have achieved being an African Country with world class reputation and infrastructure. South Africa has no oil but their annual revenue is triple ours. To make matters worse their population is 3 times smaller than ours. So I ask myself how they able to generate triple are our annual revenue when their population is 1/3 of ours and they don’t have oil. The answer is simple, good leadership and sound infrastructure. Although I must categorically state that the white South African built this country and made it what it is today. In South Africa you will across a shopping every 10 km you drive but in Nigeria there is only one notable shopping and it was built by a South African company. Their country is well organized that an average South African can afford to buy a brand new BMW 3 unlike in Nigerian where the a n average man cannot even afford a TOKUNBO car while the BMWs are exclusive to corrupt politicians , drug dealers and 419 fraudsters. That should tells us a lot about where our country is heading to if we don’t buckle up and fight for our nation.

Just Google South Africa and you will see the millions of websites that pop up showing beauty of nation.

This Jonathan guy that look like a BABOON wants to siphon that much money and he is not yet the president, what will he do if he become president?

White people regard Africans as corrupt, power hungry monkeys who can never govern themselves properly. So far in Africa we have proved them right, it time to change that perception. Everyday i read racist comments about Nigerians on different blogs , we have become the laughing stock of the world and when a person like me speaks about the truth ,some idiotic Nigerian will open their filthy mouth and start trying to defend our national pride. Which pride? What is there to be proud of in Nigeria? We have now been official put on the list terrorist harbouring countries .We are our own worst enemies because when a good Nigerian steps up to plate and try to  turn things around thousands of greedy minded , arrogant ,sentimentally patriotic and brainwashed Nigerians will bring him down .Unless we call a spade a spade and stop being sentimental we will never be free. I don't mince words hate me or love me i know my goal and i know how to achieve it.

The above is just a few of the ideas which i have about turning Nigeria around, you are welcome to add to my ideas or criticize them.

Personally I am looking at the possibility of taking over power via a BLOODY coup in Nigeria and I am not joking, the only thing hindering me now is finances, I am willing to lay down my life to liberate my people ,I have started making plans and meeting with fellow Nigerians here in SA who share my views to push the plan forward. I know it won’t be easy but I determined to do something, GOD help me. The time is now Nigerians; let us take power back from these bastards who have committed economic treason against our nation.

Saving Nigeria starts with saving the minds of the average Nigerians from further decay. No house built on SAND will survive, and pursuing what you have above @Poster, without tackling the main issue, will only bring us back to where we are today. You only need to look back about 30 years ago to realize we have done it your way before and only ended up back here because we forgot that unless the people understand and live what the change, it is all in vain.

Immediately you mentioned trying to be an Emperor, you lost about 35% of Nigerians who are Igbo. We don't care if you are promising us heaven, the moment you want us to bow to you, dem never born you! angry

Furthermore, you sound like a whiteman with schemes of how to create an empire "in the middle of the jungle". grin

the only thing hindering you is not  finance.like kobo. rightly said. you dont need gun, what is needed is to change the mindset of an average nigerian .look at it this way. why do you think someone will want to blow themselves up taking lives of others with him,why will someone travell uncomfortably as it may miles to attend  a religious gathering lasting hrs sometimes days attimes without food . its all simply your mind has been conditioned that you are on the right path. once we can achieve same consciously in the average nigerian mind, then internally the people knows their right and can fight for it. quick example is what is going on in iran , that guy {amadinnerjacket} rigged that election and the people are using every available opp. to fight him. that is the way to go.

Exactly!!! Iran is a good example. Only a couple of years ago, these people swore America was the evil of them all. Now, we hear that even over the weekend, people are still demanding their rights be respected and protesting. Imagine that!! Iran of all places!!

@Poster, all the skyscrapers, flashy new buildings, shiny/glossy paint, solar panels in the world, will not change Nigeria. As long as the culture we have now continues, we will only be building this house on the same sand we have for over 40 years and nothing tangible comes from all that, we know that now. Why do you think the BUHARI/IDIAGHON regime felt it had to use FORCE to cause the Nigerian people to do the right thing? I remember back then watching police men punishing men and women for disobeying COMMON SENSE rules. As soon as they left, it all went back to the way it used to be and lack of maintenance.

The Nigerian problem is NOT the government as in the corrupt people but the Nigerian people who are supposed to be in charge of government( at least for the past 10 years) not doing anything but continuing the status quo, and expecting a messiah to come do the job for them.

Here in South Africa you will see thousands uneducated Igbos walking around a run down suburb known as hillbrow with their red feathered hats asking South Africans to call them Igwe or chief. These same individuals are jobless and engage in illegal activities that ruin Nigeria’s image but they want to look important.6 out of every Igbo I meet in South Africa is a chief of one local government in the eastern part of Nigeria. The first you notice about these individual is their low IQ and their evident lack of formal education. They have now become the object of ridicule and jokes in south Africa and the locals have nicknamed them “ogongo 1” because every IGBO chief in South Africa ia always the first to hold his title e.g “Chief odenigbo 1 of abakaliki local government.

By saying “they never born you” shows that you are not capable of having an intelligent debate, it also shows that you have low self esteem and don't believe in yourself to do great things for your country. Those people who become great in life are people who aim high. I aim high and i fear GOD only. You can remain on the sidelines and watch real Nigerians take back their country.

Dumb people won't be able to comprehend my argument, the end justifies the means. Whether you are led by a president ,king or military leader what is important is that food is on the table for the people.

Look at all the monarchs in the world, Great Britain, Canada, china, Japan, Spain just to name a few. All the citizens of these countries are loyal and disciplined. And these countries have excelled. do you know why? Because when you are a king who will be succeeded by your son you will take good care of your people because you don't want to lose your throne in a revolution. Unlike presidents who spend a maximum of 8 years ,presidents know they have a limited time so they steal as much as they can during that time.

And by the way I am a black man and more Nigerian than you will ever be
Re: Saving Nigeria by eyesonyou: 9:31pm On Dec 29, 2009
@ EmperorOlu,

Thanks for your write-up. I concur with you on some of your assessments,  and most Nigerians propably do as well.
Unfortunately, Nigeria is not a country where a group of civilian can seize power and sustain it.
There are two many forces (special interests ) at work in Nigeria to mount a serious counter attack if such an event ever occurs.

Have you noticed that past successful coups in Nigeria were led by senior officers?
Every attempt by junior ranked officers has failed due to the complexity of Nigeria, and because of the many generals that
seem to litter the Nigerian armed forces that can quickly quell a revolt of any kind.
The generals are part of the "special interests" group -rich and corrupt.
A civilian group has a next to nothing chance of successfully toppling the Nigerian govt -it may be successful at best for a couple of hours before been suppressed.

Rather than mount a cavalry that has no chance of sucesss, why not form a pressure group to fight these people.
A pressure group with enough capital base to fight these oppressors.
The general believe in Nigeria is that we need to fight the FG to effect changes,  nothing can be further from the truth.
What is needed are  pressure groups in each geo-zones to fight the governors in the court of public opinion, and the courtroom.
All of this rubbish is happening because people (masses) are not united, and are unwilling to fight for their rights.
Anyway, I salute your courage.

And you are intelligent enough to miss all the contradictions and low self esteem in your "plan" for our emancipation.
You should start by learning that not all inhabitants of Nigeria are oafs.
You can't even implement your "plan" in Lesotho. Ewu!

On the above statement - you lost me completely - The last time i checked Nigeria was and is a sovereign country.  These clearly confirms that you are suffering from bout of inferiority complex.

I don't think the OP meant that white folks should rule us in any capacity.  I believe he is saying we should employ their services in certain areas that need help.
Let's face it,  we need help. We should employ whoever((Black, White. Yellow, Blue) can get things done These current  fools are not going to get things done -not in a million years.

@emperorolu, I just read your lines on 'system cleansing' and I dont think I want to go further than that.

However I recommend ALABUKUN for you.

I will try and read the rest another day and maybe see if I could see things your own way, because as far as I could infer, it is completely meaningless, disjointed and lack proper articulation.

Yes Nigeria is a sovereign country.
A sovereign country that allows the Kaduna mafia to run it’s affairs
A sovereign country that allows oil companies to murder it’s people
A sovereign country with a reputaion of massive curruption and drug dealing
A sovereign country that the hausas and the yorubas have almost run into the ground
A sovereign country that has now become the object of ridicule in hollywood movies
A sovereign country that politicians don’t respect it constitution
A sovereign country who minister are searched at international airports for drugs
A sovereign country nation where $12 billion dollars of state funds go missing never to be found again
A sovereign country with thousands of PHD holders who chose to steal from the federal coffers

Blacksta I am know what I am talking about ,read and understand me before you start throwing insults

Nigeria has been independent for 49 years ,all those years we have ruled by Nigerians and all these years out country has continues to decline in all sectors. We have a lot of graduates and qualified people but they chose to despoil our nation dry.

Let me ask you a question if you child was sick and needed surgery and you went to a hospital, if you were are asked to chose between two doctors to operate on your child :

The first choice a Nigerian surgeon with a 5% success rate in surgeries
The second choice a Australian doctor with 80% success in surgeries

Who would chose?

The white doctor of course, does that mean that you have inferiority complex?
Of course not, you want the best for your child; you don’t want to gamble with your child’s life.

Let me ask you another question why to European football clubs hire foreign players to play for their teams ,does that mean they have inferiority complex in Europe or it is because the want the best players for their teams?

I am not ready to gamble with Nigeria future so I can not allow any Nigerian to run any government department. When I say I want white people to run our department, I mean that I will put out an advert in foreign news to look for the best corperate managers. There will be a panel of experts who will screen each candidate, we will shortlist 5 candidates and we will ask each candidate to present a rough plan on how they can move the department forward. The panel of expert will examine all the plans submitted and select the owner of the best plan to head the department.

This white guys will be employees of the government, they will only have managerial power not political power. They will pose no threat to Nigeria because they will be employed on contract bases; anyone of them who does not perform can be fired at any time and replaced with a new person. It is politics and politicians that ruin the development of our nation. Nigeria needs to be run like a company or organisation.

You see the way shell is been run, all the interest of shell are protect at the expense of Nigerian lives in the Niger delta ,why can’t  we run Nigeria like a multi national corporation ,that way we generate enough jobs and income to satisfy the masses of Nigeria.

Don’t you want the best for Nigeria?
I know I do, I can not trust Nigerians because greed has eaten deep into our society. The probability of finding a qualified and honest Nigerian is 5%

A white expatriate will be scared to embezzle money especially when he is not a citizen and he knows that the punishment for corruption is government the death penalty. Do you think a White person who is working for the Government can boldly request for a 7 billion naira home to be built for him? Just take a look at China’s system of government ,their laws are strict that it why they are now the fastest growing economy in the world because they are disciplined and determined to better their nation.

Our own citizens steal from us but we can not even do anything about it. Take a look at South Africa, yes they are an advanced country but they have developed a lot of problems since 1994 when the blacks took over. Their govt departments are now failing due to corruption and mismanagement. This never happened during the days of apartheid. The corruption in the ANC government has now turned in full blown looting and South Africans are now very concerned about the nation. Their agricultural output has reduced by 30% because of farm murders committed by jealous blacks who chose to kill the white farmers instead of working hard and building their own farms from scratch.

The poverty in the midst of black South Africans is so sever due to black corruption and now South African blacks blame Nigerians as well as other African living in their nation for their woes ,this is why they attacked foreigner last year. The black South African are lazy and refuse to work, instead they have turned to robbing whites and black foreigners.

It is the white people in South Africa who are still holding the economy. If whites leave South Africa today, it will become a banana republic like Nigeria. Did you see what happened in Zimbabwe? Immediately the whites left, a country that was once regarded as the food basket of Africa is now a country where food is scare and people live in abject poverty.

Look at Nigerian schools today, I attended st Gregory’s college in Ikoyi .When the missionaries were in Nigeria these schools were properly run and the infrastructure was maintained. Just go and visit kings college and st Gregory’s college today they are all in shambles because of poor management by Nigerians.

You may not agree with me because of  your National pride but the truth is the truth even though it hurts, we need foreign skills and discipline to restore confidence in out nation. I don’t feel inferior to the whites instead I feel that there is more we can learn from them about nation building.

Let me ask you my last question ,will you say the Leaders of Dubai have inferiority complex because they asked Canadian and German companies and well nationals to  develop and maintain their city?

Do you think American have inferiority complex by voting to OBAMA a black man?
Hell no, they wanted a changed in direction.

Nigeria need a fresh start, we need to handle Nigeria like a country that has just got it’s independence last week. We must create fresh ideas that are beneficial to the nation, country first, family after. Have you noticed how the US marines are loyal to their Marine corps. and their country. If we as Nigerian can have that type of loyalty for our country with good intentions we will move forward a rapid rate. I do agree that we have to change the mind set of Nigerians but knowing my people, we can not change Nigerian minds by being soft, you need a hardcore leader and you need a lot of ruthless laws that will punish criminals ruthlessly. Nigerian are not scared to commit crimes because of our lax laws and corrupt police personnel in Nigeria Look at Lucky Igbenidion and Babangida ,after all the billions they stole they live lavish lifestyles and commit murder through the police any time they wish but we can even touch them. Is that the society we want to leave for the next generation? How long do you think Nigeria will last like this before a civil war breaks out. If we don’t act now ,millions of lives may be lost in the future!

Idiaghon, and Buhari tried that very idea of yours, and you know the history of it all. Nigerian doesn’t need a HARD RUTHLESS leader. Look at how ruthless many of the  Sharia leaders in the North have been to their people, in the name of God, and what has that turned the people into? Ruthless savages -- many unable to think of themselves as being worth more than what their leaders make them to believe of themselves, and nothing more.  Nigerians, as a whole, need to be awoken to the fact that their destiny is in their hands. Only then can we have lasting change. Order than that, we will essentially continue to have people, living in bondage to those in government (who ought to be accountable to them), deluding themselves by believing they are the best people on the planet.

eyesonyou ,Kobojunkie and ode remo i thank you all for your positive inputs i have taken into account some of your advise and i understand where you are coming from.

Planning a coup in Nigeria is not my only plan to topple the government but it is my strongest plan. I must say i disagree with you that a civilian coup cannot work in Nigeria. Taking over Nigeria is not a very complex task if you know what you are doing and you have the right people on your side.

You need to be familiar with all the military installations in Nigeria ,the number of infantry at certain strategic points and the response protocol to armed attacks. To take over a country you need to undergo military training yourself and understand the techniques and equipment for modern warfare.

One major technique that is need in today battles is : “Attack and Supress”
It is a popular technique by the US marine Army Rangers. The Nigerian military is still using the old military manual of 1973.

I wish i could divulge more information but i am sorry for my own security i won’t say too much, what i want you to know is that a well planned coup with foreign military backing can topple Aso Rock in 60 minutes. Trust me i know what i am saying.

Those people who planned the previous coups in Nigeria acted alone without much foreign backing and suppress techniques that is why they failed. There are about 49 top key military men in Nigeria and only two notable battalions with major weapons based only in Kaduna and Abuja. Soldier won’t fight if they are not ordered to. You can have a bloodless coup like the one that took place in Madagascar by a civilian who was a former club DJ.
Re: Saving Nigeria by GL(f): 11:15pm On Dec 29, 2009
@ EmperorOlu,

your idea sounds good except it looks like something that could lead to apartheid and i don't think nigerians would vote for such a plan. yes, south africa is better off because the whites were in charge. but the blacks were slaves in their own country and even today many of them feel inferior to the whites. i know u r nigerian but u must have missed out on d proud gene. it's not just ibos, most of us would rather be poor freemen than rich slaves.

Nigeria does not NEED a coup! We have a democracy, and essentially, no need for a coup. There is no need to TAKE OVER Nigeria by conducting a coup the way I see it.

@ Emperor,
Am still enjoying xmas break and you come spoil am. Anyway i will respond in due course
but i am indeed worried that you want to be an emperor and you also desire to jettison
all democratic pretenses as we have today. I also realise that you want to sack every
Nigerian from his job. What shall we be doing while you are in power? Stay away from
any day to dayactivity?
For the avoidance of doubt, I agree with some of your proposals but they seem to be
too imperial for my liking and I do not see you going far with your aim as you have not
considered whether it is possible to create your empire.
Any attempt to revamp our polity without Nigerians is a non starter. As someone mentioned
the only solution is a complete overhaul of the mindset and concerted assault by Nigerans on
the persons, institutions and structures that are giving us grief, not any coup or emperor. We
must challenge them in the courts, in the media and in our town halls and village meetings.

Choco5:

I like your passion but your vision is one that will lead to dictatorship and ultimately, the same of the same.
Your name is even Emperor.

I get your point but i disagree with you. A leader can chose the way he wants to lead his people ,it is all about choice.

I can chose to be a good leader or bad one ,you will never believe me if i tell you that i will be a good leader but i guess GOD sees my heart and knows my intention.

Please note that i am not the only one who is planning to take over the government ,i can assure that there are over 10 groups of Nigerians based overseas planning to take over the govt,i don’t care who rules as long the person is good i will support his leadership.

Two years ago i never dreamt of ruling Nigeria but ever since last year i have become more passionate about the idea especially because of the Niger delta issue and the fact the Niegria is regressing instead of improving. I live in South Africa and almost everyday i am insulted by South African and call a Kwere kwere (meaning bloody foreigner).I have been a subject of racial slurs from both white and black South Africans. I am married and i have kids, my kids are sometimes discriminated against in school by other children because they don’t speak native South African languages.

Why am i in South Africa and tolerating all these insults you may ask?

Because i am very successful in South Africa
Because there is constant electricity and i don’t have buy a generator to power my office
Because SA's tap water is the 3rd cleanest in the world and it is always available
Because electricity is prepaid and you can buy unit with sms via your cellphone
Because i get internationals contracts from foreign companies because they think i am a South African, if they knew I am Nigerian they will never do business with me.
Because my children can get quality education without the fear of their schools going on strike
Because the law works in this country and no politician can cheat or intimidate me
Because the infrastructure is superb and pleasing to look at
Because SA has beautiful tourist resorts where i can visit with your family
Because i live in a beautiful ultra modern house that would have been out of my reach if i had remained in Nigeria
Because the road network do not have port holes or brown dust
Because the city centre is clean and well maintained
Because the government hospital offer free quality medical care to me
Because there are countless business opportunities here that can grow my wealth
Because my children might have a better chance in life and treated with respect if they have a South African ID & passport
Because my children can attend great universities like UNISA whose certificates are recognized worldwide
Because electronics and household wares are cheaper here and easy to acquire than Nigeria
Because their food markets are clean and properly organised to ensure the highest level of hygiene
Because there is a shopping mall every 10kms you drive
Because their is a recreational park every 3kms you drive

It is a painful truth even to me but these are some of the reason why i remain and here.

But i home sick and i wish my country can be this comfortable, I don't want my children growing being scared of saying they are Nigerians ,which kind of life is that. Many Nigerian superstars born in England are afraid to mention that they are Nigerians just because of our not so pleasant reputation worldwide. Other nationalities are proud of their countries but only Nigerians are covered by a cloud of controversy.

We can't even win any competition without people suspecting us of foul play, look at the recent BIG BROTHER REVOLUTION that was won by KEVIN,till today some African nations are saying we rigged the whole show because a Nigerian hosted the show and the managing director of DSTv is a Nigerian. That is a wake up call people, this can not continue for the sake our children, we can’t leave everything to GOD. Remember the lord only helps those who helps themselves.
