My power steering pump is making a humming noise as i accelerate and decelerate. I want to know if the pump can be fixed or it has to be replaced entirely . Its a corolla 2006.

My corolla 08...i have two minor issue on it tho it works well but I feel the need to sort this two as both display light

1. The airbag suddenly put up light vin check no accident and i have been using it here masef since I bought for US.... It was one day the light came up even if I reset it still come up

2. The check engine say 02 sensor bank something something.... I don change 02 sensor reset m severally.... Check engine no gree go

The car actually came with no exhaust pipe from engine side to the back probably stolen
So I bought exhaust pipe n catalyst n 02 sensor was connected..... It doesn't consume fuel tho

Do u av idea aw much both airbag n 02 sensor would cost
I'm ibadan base.... But might come lag Dec

Good morning Mr Gazzuzz, thanks for this thread. I have noticed some issues with my car, it’s a Camry 07.

The first issue is that it just started smoking, black smoke from the exhaust.

The second is that the engine oil turns very black in a short time, I have change the oil several, last change was like a month ago and it is already black.

The third issue is that it sort of raises and makes one extra sound when you accelerate. Like if you use brake and then try to pick up speed.

Read about Camry 2007.
It almost happens to all of them.
It became better with Camry 2008 but not like it doesnt happen with them too.

I use a Camry 2008 and when you start it, it raises very high with black smoke and begins to get better after two minutes.
The black smokes stops immediately after starting the vehicle.

Scanned mine and it gave me an exhaust code.
Just using it like that as it seems not to be a big deal.

Hopefully Gazzuzz helps with quick fixes.

Thank you, you’re right the sound/smoke gets better as you continue to drive. I hope Gazzuzz will be able to help with a fix, especially the oil issue. I will do some reading as well.

Does your check engine light come on at all? Mine does not, just checking. Also do you experience the black oil issue?

Dear Gazzuz pls can the dashboard speedometer get bad? Sometimes Mine has been flickering on and off when in motion but it will be steady when the car is not moving.

I went to 2 rewires they check my alternator and they said the alternator is good, my battery is good too, to prove to me they change like 3 different batteries but is still flickering when moving. They check all the fuses and they are okay.

They said I need to replace the speedometer which is 20k for the South African corrolla type.



I don't know whether you have encountered such a problem before
