Xiaomi and Apple are competing for market share currently in China and other countries.
Once in a while do manage to check phone comparisons from trusted reviewers on YouTube and maybe your eyes would be opened to the reality. Then you'll realize your 'home based brands' with have been ripping you off.
Currently you can get an MI6 phone for 360USD and that's a phone that's competing with iPhone 7 and Galaxy s7. FYI they are also called flagship killers

Am a tech software and hardware engineer, I type from experience that's why u don't see me engage in arguments when it comes to topics like this. Because most people just type from assumptions or lack of in-dept 1st hand experience.
I can tell u that, I get more clients in my office than calcare, and when I don't have parts of their devices, I ordered them online and fix it. They get their devices within a week or less, compared to service centres When u'll be asked to wait for 3 weeks with no full assurance of coming back to see ur device fixed.
I have numerous clients who abandoned their innjoo devices in their service center due to lack of replacements, I even have a personal innjoo Max 2 plus in their service centre. I searched for the parts online to no avail hence my reason for taking it to their service center but it's been almost a year now.

Ordering for parts of devices online ain't that expensive as u may think.
Devices like Xiaomi and Co are built with quality materials, u don't really need to fear about damaged parts like u would with some devices sold solely in Nigeria.

Am always transparent when people come to me for advice/tips. If they need MTK devices, I recommend Infinix(Mostly) because of their battery life. Sometimes Tecno too.
But when they seek for true value for money, I advice them to go for a snapdragon device. Only if they can exercise patience because placing orders online takes about 1 to 2 weeks.
So my sister, there is absolutely nothing to fear about buying things online, just make a Lil homework and seek for help from experienced people.

but u guy you lie too much. Who is selling mi6 at 360dollars I've checked most sites and the best price I've seen is 499 for the 64GB and that's before you even consider shipping or taxes. 128GB goes for as far as 600usd.

360 is official price. Phone is not yet in the market until next month. 500 usd u saw is just what we call the gra gra price and we ain't buying at that price. Expect it to be around 400 usd soon and we aren't paying any hidden charges again after that, shipping had been added.
No taxes to be paid too unless u ship it through DHL (no one trying to save money does DHL)

Both.

I reviewed Ulefone power for a retail store sometime ago and I won Oukitel K6000 on online review competition.

Ulefone spoils quickly. I don't know if that has changed but my experience was horrible.

I will recommend Oukitel if you are torn between the two otherwise there are better options

So I've been seeing this thing on Nairaland where people say that they are ordering phones from Aliexpress.
Hmm.
Let me narrate some experiences,
I have this friend that wanted to buy a phone and was attracted to the specs (and price) of phones that he saw on Aliexpress so he ordered one.
Only for the phone to pack up a month later, when he call their customer care to get the replacement parts he was told that he needed to order it from China, and the parts cost more than the price of the phone.

Somebody also bought a Samsung phone from UK and took it to a Nigerian service center and they told him that they can't touch it because it's not from this (Nigeria) region.

My advise is for you to buy from reputable home based brands like tecno and the like. They have service centers all over the country that you can go to if your device has issues (I have even used tecno's Carlcare to repair something on my phone and they didn't charge me anything), several brands like Innjoo,Infinix and co also have these service centers.
Don't play yourself, protect your hard earned money.

I used to have this idea after I bought a Sony xperia and when It got faulty I couldn't fix it.

This led me to buying a Tecno Camon C7 with the hope that when anything happens to it I can take it to Carl care and get it fixed. I bought it in May 2017.

In November 2018 my phone goes bad. Battery issue, not charging, phone keeps tripping off on its own and many more. I called Carl care to set up an appointment for fixing.

Guess what??

I was told they no longer have the parts for tecno camon c7 anymore. I was categorically told that they don't think they would get the parts again.

From someone else's story. What I realized is that when they make this new models, they seize to service old ones. This guy's make phones like every 8months at the end of the day you still end up stranded. Now I'm stuck without a phone. I am getting my self a Xiaomi from aliexpress trusting God it would come perfectly.

In terms of after service, Nigeria is finished. There is none at all. Even those that exist you pay through your nose
