Lack of good education has made some Nigerians see state capital as a place where most of the state's federal allocations should be utilized, when rest of the state remain in development levels miles below the level of development in the state capital.

A State capital is merely the seat of government in a state.

It is absolutely wrong to use the state's federal allocations to economically empower the indegene land owners in the state capital, while others outside the state capital are economically dis- empowered, as in Imo State.

Stop advertising your ignorance everywhere, before the discovery of crude oil, Nigeria as a source of revenue from exporting cocoa and groundnut, cocoa from the west, groundnut from the north and they still share the income with the east, so now that the reverse is the case, you are complaining...It either you are ignorant or an hypocrite...
Peace

Ibadan...

Guy you can promote the image of your glorified village Abakaliki, but never put Ibadan and Abakaliki in the same sentence. Even your most developed city in east Enugu is miles away from Ibadan in development

Glorified village of Abakaliki

Every city in Nigeria got brown roof, yes Calabar some city may be beautiful than Ibadan. But op says developed city. There is different between development and beauty. Owerri maybe beautiful than port harcourt and Ibadan. But not even close when it comes to development .

Please define development.

IITA was established in 1967 in Ibadan,
the idea of the institute came from
Ford and Rockefeller foundations desire
to establish a centre for the
improvement in quality of tropical
foods. [1] The institute came to
existence with the enactment of decree

initial goals were to develop a better
productive farming system, the
selection and breeding of high yielding
crop varieties that are resistant to
diseases and pest and strengthening
agricultulral research in the humid and
tropic regions. The institute was
initially situated on a 1000 hectare
land.
The institute focused on a cereal
improvement program, grain and
legumes improvement program,
farming systems and root and tuber
improvement program. The grain and
legume improvement system consisted
of soybean , cowpea and tuber program
composed of yam and cassava. IITA
joined the CGIAR consortium in 1971.
It later added tree products such as
plantain and banana. Recently, IITA has
operated four research divisions:
Biotechnology and genetic
improvement, Natural resource
management, Social science and
agribusiness, and Plant production and
plant health.
