Brown thinks otherwise.
Akia is the wife of BMB Entertainment CEO Brian Maurice Brown, and has caused quite a stir in the American black community based on her viewpoint.
In her new book “Beyond Love,” Akia reveals that she and Maurice had open marriage – and at one point had
TWO “sister-wives”.

She said she decided to write a book after people kept inquiring about her open marriage and how she was able to make it work. She revealed that honesty is the secret. “I want the readers to read the book with an open mind,” Akia told Bossip. “At the end of the day, everybody just wants to be loved, and when people love someone unconditionally and if you’re honest enough to say, ‘This is what’s happening.’ if they are open and honest enough, you have to be at
least open to accepting it.”

She admitted that her husband tells her everything about his intimate relationships, which have produced two
children.
She further explained that as part of their open marriage, Brown said she is also able to have boyfriends, though
she said her husband was enough for her.
“The real meaning of this book is unconditional love,” Akia added.
“I really wrote the book for women’s empowerment and let them know your past does not define the future,” Akia
said.
“We all go through things relationship wise, and you need to use them as stepping stones. The real purpose of the book is open communication and honesty.”
Brown will have her story hit the TV screens later this year for the Lifetime reality show, Detroit Dynasty, which
will focus on her and her husband’s music projects and their unconventional lifestyle.

Well for some, an open marriage is perfect for their relationship. The wife gets to keep lovers outside, and the husband equally does the same.
They both come home and gist each other about the time they spent outside. They're also open to threesomes, foursomes. They each can also invite their lovers to join them in their matrimonial beds.

It may sound crazy, and unfathomable but if that works for them, they should kwantinu.
I strongly believe some marriages in Nigeria are open with the spouses fully aware of each other's dalliances, and are quite fine with it.
I however don't believe there's any love in such marriages, and more like a marriage of convenience. Each is dispensable.

The thread isn't about struggling for mates. The woman says they keep an open marriage. She likes her husband, but can also keep boyfriends. I'm pretty sure she has had her own fair share of openness in the marriage.
Animals are territorial not just because of mates/reproduction but more for survival. You as a wild cat have a nice piece of land filled with wonderful antelopes, and then suddenly someone else comes around, you fight for it.
Not that many carnivorous animals go about in groups. Even the territorial ones that do don't have only just one male in their group. They all work together as a unit and would fight both male and female outsiders who are not part of their group/didn't make the team.
Most territorial wild animals are solitary/lone rangers and therefore territorial by default e.g your rhinos, your tigers. Its only lions that find it easy to move as a group, and they are still territorial.
Some antelopes are only territorial depending on the availability of food in their environment, but most move about as herds males/females together
