Efewestern: Actually, our origin is from Ayram (Aydam), whom is also called Adam. |

Conclusion One can now see that Urhobo people did not fall from the sky. Neither did they appear in Nigeria from nowhere. From the account hereby presented one can see their genesis, and sojourns over the Earth until their eventual settlement in the fresh and new land they found and founded in the country that is today called Nigeria. Those who care to look closely at the genealogy, and the Urhobo words or names in this book, especially Nigerians, will discover their close kinship with the Urhobo people and their ancestors’ shared experiences with the Urhobos. Indeed, especially so of not only Nigerians, but Black Africans. |

scionofurhobo: we have no connection with Adam, this your story looks somehow bro, although the Bible made us believe Adam was the first man to live this earth, but we shouldn't accept it because the Bible said so, our forefathers never knew of Egypt or isreal. we only trace our origin to bini. 6 Likes 1 Share |

I think Urhobo and Yoruba are somehow intertwined historically. There's an Urhobo/Itsekiri man that got his genealogy tested and he found out that he was about 60% Benin/Togo which is Yoruba and a smaller percentage of Cameroon/Congo which could be Igbo or any of the groups east of the Niger. 5 Likes |

If there was no written or oral documentation of their history as you have asserted. How come you stumbled upon the history you stated above? BTW: My understanding has been that, the Isokos descended from Benin and that, the Uhrobos are a breakout faction from the Isokos. 8 Likes |

Nigerians can claim!!!! I reason with geography, although its possible. But why didnt the Urhobo ancestors settle at THE CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC,or DRC CONGO,CONGO GABON,EQUITORIAL GUINEA, CAMEROON, even IGBO land, but rather they chose to settle in DELTA north coming all the way from SUDAN.Also, why didnt they go further west to as far as SENEGAL? wetin dem dey find? Who would move from civillization to where there is nt? What a joke!! Na so igbos come dey talk say they are from ISREAL. why would anybody migrate from LAGOS to SAMBISA FOREST!!lmao 1 Like |

Fantasy tales by people trying to make a connection to Egypt. Why not fill the loop holes and connection between West African tribes before trying to cross the sahara into North Africa? 4 Likes |

scionofurhobo: Do you have any verifiable source or authority to back your claims about Urhobo been the universal language? Even in your writeup, you claimed that their were no written or oral documentation, but you still went ahead to voice many supposed historical none sense. Also, your assertions that only an Urhobo indigenes can understand what you are saying is bullshit, am one and your writeup and claims sounds ridiculous. 4 Likes |

Igbo's can't come from Egypt. The Yoruba's landed like a catapult from Heaven. So get your first comment right! We Igbo's have no same origin with Hausa and Yorubas 2 Likes |

Op what you just wrote here I'm sorry to say is a mockery of history. Urhobos, Edos, or any other group from the entity called Nigeria has nothing to do with ancient Egypt. The only group of people in West Africa that have a connection with ancient Egypt are the present Dogon people of Mali. Urhobos migrated out of the ancient of the ancient Benin empire. Ancient Kemet (Egypt) was not the only civilization that thrived in Africa. They were civilizations that thrived and rivaled that of ancient Kemet that the world intentionally ignores. They were the Kuba and Luba empires, Kingdom of Mossi, Axum Empire, Songhai Empire etc. Please stop making history look like a joke. 9 Likes 1 Share |

All this history trying to link indigenous Nigerian tribes to the middle east are fake, they stories are made up to fit in with the jewish mythologies in the bible. All Nigerian tribes are derived from other Nigerian/Subsaharan African tribes. 2 Likes |

Like the leader of EFF,Malema said during the African Day celebration in South Africa, everybody comes from somewhere.Recently,a top Chinese scientist shocked the nation when he said that the Chinese are descendants of ancient Egypt. He did carbon dating and also tested the mineralogical composition of the most ancient artifacts found in China. The result showed that the ores were alien to Asia, and were consistent with those made around that period in Egypt, and were produced using the same smelting technique! There were references in ancient Chinese poems about mountains that can not be found in China but in the Sinai Penisula. When the Chinese President last visited Egypt,he mentioned a Kemetic adage: He who drinks from the Nile, will always return! Last year, Egyptian hieroglyphs were found carved in the Australian outbacks, and was confirmed as genuine! There are records of Africans who were great lords and landowners in Scotland and Ireland. Even the official coat of arms of the current British Royal Dynasty bears the profile of an African! A simple study of all African tribal history always mention migration. The Urhobo have never been a single people, with regards to the time of settling. There have always been waves of settlers all over the Delta, and no record of a single people moving towards the south. For example, there are claims that the people of Evwreni were descendants of settlers from Awka, who intermarried. Even if recent history says that there were several migrations out of Benin, led by several Princes and chiefs, the question still remains, where does the Benin people come from. If it is Egypt, then, where did the ancient Egyptians and Nubians come from? So,the question never ends. So,don't wave any story away as fanciful or absurd, until it has been checked! Just my two pence!
