Why Ijaw,Urhobo & Itshekiri will never join Biafra. many Igbo's Believe that the Reason why some Minorities in ND have been rejecting being part of Biafra is because they hate Igbo or Have been Brainwashed by the Nigerian Government.-the Itshekiri people of Delta state have been facing All sort of from their Neighbors(Ijaw & Urhobo) over who owns Warri. this have led to concurrent bloody Clashes & wars Between the 3 minorities. At each point the FG will come to the rescue of of the Itshekiri who have been at the mercy of the Ijaws. -The main point here is that the Itshekiri FEAR that joining Biafra will make it easy for their neigbors -Ijaw/Urhobo to annex warri land- which the 3 believe belong to them -therefore the Itshekiri strongly believe the only way they can protect their interest-(warri),from the Ijaw (who seek to lump large Itshekiri land with Ijaw land in a bid to connect to their tiny Enclave in Ondo state & Edo-according to Efewestern) is by remaining with Nigeria, same goes for the other 2. -Who owns Warri is a popular slogan here on nairaland. . the Ijaw -the Ijaw have this mindset that every land that stretches accross the River line areas belongi to them, which is not true. -this have lead to several argument & clashes btw them & all their Neighbors -Ijaw vs Itshekiri Over who own warri -Ijaw vs Urhobo over who owns Udu. -Ijaw vs Ikwerre-Igbo over who owns PH -Ijaw vs Akwa Ibom over Who own Eastern Obolo. -Ijaw vs Edo over who owns a land in A community in Edo state. -Ijaws vs SE-Igbo's over who owns PH -and last but not least, The Ijaw seek to Annex OPOBO in a bid to Connect to Eastern Obolo in Akwa Ibom which the Claim also belong to them. this did not go well with the Igbo's as it has lead to several online Clash between them and the Igbo's. -therefore the Ijaws fears loosing all this areas the claimed belong to the if they join Biafra. - -Now, let us take a look at some of this Clashes Below |

Tension in Delta as Ijaw plan to Build house on Razed Itshekiri village By Emma Arubi WARRI – TENSION now pervades the Ugborodo Itsekiri community and its neighbouring Ijaw communities in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, following recent moves by some Ijaw to erect a staff quarters on the Kpokpo land in Ugborodo. The land inhabited by the Kolo family of Ugborodo was sacked by the Ijaws during the Ijaw/ Itsekiri 1997-2003 crisis. Similarly, another crisis is looming between some Ijaws of Gbaramatu Kingdom and the Itsekiri of Kantu community sacked by the Ijaws also during the same crisis. Though the military authorities had waded into the festering crisis in Escravos by stopping further development on the land by the Ijaw, Vanguard learnt that the Itsekiri owners were told by their Ijaw neighbours, that Kpokpo was a now conquered territory. Assistant Public Relation Officer, Ugborodo community, Mr. Perry Okoturoh told Vanguard that “it is unheard of that we still have conquered land in this 21st century.” According to Okoturoh, the Ijaws razed Kpokpo settlement in Warri Kingdom during the seven years crisis against the Itsekiri nation and razed many more Itsekiri villages including Kantu in Gbaramatu Kingdom, where they both share the same ancestry. He added that “the Ugborodo community had not abandoned Kpokpo land to any other person, family or ethnic nationalities. “It remains the Kolo family quarters and therefore the land remains Ugborodo property,” he said. He regretted that the Ijaws commenced building on the said land about two months ago to provoke another round of Ijaw/Itsekiri crisis, wondering how they can claim to be building a staff quarters on another man’s land in an area that has no school. However, some Gbaramatu Ijaws, who spoke to newsmen, yesterday, maintained that the land now belongs to them, insisting that some Itsekiri boys came to pull down the staff quarters they were erecting on the land. https://www.nairaland.com/719075/ijaw-itsekiri-crisis-again http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/07/tension-in-delta-as-ijaw-plans-to-build-on-razed-itsekiri-villages/ |

may 2017 Ijaw Group Slam Itshekiri over claim of new warri WARRI—THE Ijaw People Development Initiative, IPDI, and Niger Delta Scholars, NDS, Warri, Delta State, have expressed concern over the recent claim by the Alpha-May Club, an Itsekiri organization, that the Itsekiri ethnic nationality owns New Warri, also known as Ogbe-Ijoh. National Coordinator of NDS, Chief Monday Keme, said, yesterday: “We are not surprised at this claim because it is the internal desire of Itsekiri to wipe away Ogbe-Ijoh from Warri leading to the famous Warri crises. “We do not want to be reminded of our unpleasant past. The three ethnic groups, Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo, all know their boundaries in Warri South Local Government Area. We, therefore, call on men of conscience to rise and condemn comments capable of causing ethnic crisis in Warri and its environs. “For the records, ‘New Warri or Ogbe-Ijoh’ comprises two leases: B2 Volume one, dated 30/7/1906 (360 acres) and lease B5 Volume one, dated 15/7/1908 (180 acres) making a total of 540 acres and not 350 acres as claimed by the Itsekiri. “It must be added here for the course of subsequent history, that New Warri, known as Ogbe-Ijoh, belongs to the Ogbe-Ijoh people and the past and present leaders of Ogbe-Ijoh have exercised considerable rights over these parcels of land. The Warri Assessment report, 1927, Nigerian Civil Service List and Handbook of 1910 (page 27), land leased all confirmed Ogbe-Ijoh ownership of new Warri or Ogbe-Ijoh, including Chief Dore Numa’s letter to Ogbe-Ijoh people dated 1923,” the group said. Similarly, the Ijaw People Development Initiative, IPDI, in a statement by its National President, Austin Ozobo, said: “It is pertinent to note that the Itsekeri were visitors to Ijawland. This is a fact you cannot put under the carpet. “They were nursed and were given Adirimo, an Ijaw woman, from Ogulagha to raise the purported Itsekiri Kingdom. It will interest the public to note that Itsekiri did not own any area in Ogbe-Ijoh, Forcados and Escravos. The aforesaid places are ancient Ijaw settlements. No Itsekiri settlement is found in Forcados, Ogbe-Ijoh and Escravos in Delta State. “The era of parading with pirated or falsified document is over. How can a man who visited Ijaw at Amatu and Orueselemo and squatted for several decades turn to own such lands?. https://www.nairaland.com/3792466/group-slam-itsekiri-over-claim http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/05/groups-slam-itsekiri-claim-new-warri/ |

Urhobo vs Ijaw War looms in Delta as Urhobo youths give Ijaw indigenes 14-day ultimatum to vacate Udu land By Daily Post Staff on November 17, 2016 @dailypostngr War is not far from Delta people as the Ighele-Urhobo (Youth Wing of Urhobo) Udu Local Government Chapter today gave all Ijaw indigenes resident in Udu land fourteen days to vacate their land including, Aladja community. The ultimatum is based on the recent attacks by the Ogbe-Ijoh and Isaba communities where some persons were killed with others still being held hostage. Chairman of Ighele-Urhobo in Udu, Comrade Sunday Subi handed down the ultimatum to the Ijaws on behalf of Urhobo youths at Aladja when the President General Of Urhobo Progress Union, UPU WorldWide stormed Aladja community for on-the-spot assessment of the troubled Aladja Community. Comrade Subi reiterated that the brewing communal war between Aladja and Isaba /Ogbe-Ijoh communities concerns even Udu and the entire Urhobo nation. He warned that within the fourteen-day ultimatum, the Ijaws should release all kidnapped Urhobo indigenes just as he called on Urhobo sons and daughters in Ijawland to return back home. In his words, “Urhobo and Udu are ready to fight for Aladja. Pass this message to Aladja people. Okowa act now or Udu shall act. We give all Ijaws within Udu land 14 days to leave our land. The youths will go round announcing that soon. Ijaws must release those kidnapped and Urhobos in Ijaw land should come back home.” Comrade Subi stated that the call became necessary with the “unending killings and kidnappings of Urhobo people by the Ijaws.” Quit notice: Junaid Mohammed reveals what will happen if Northern youths are arrested He noted that the Ijaws were planning to conquer Urhobo land especially Aladja community, stressing that, “The Urhobos will not tolerate that anymore.” Comrade Subi also called on the Delta State Governmor, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa to call the Chairman of Delta State Water Ways Security, Mr, Boro Opudu to order accusing him of fueling the crisis in the area. President General of Urhobo Progress Union,UPU WorldWide, Chief Joe Omene stated that the Urhobo nation was ready to stand for Aladja community. Chief Omene expressed sadness over the manner Urhobo politicians handle the case of Aladja community saying, “The Politicians in Urhobo land have not shown concern to Aladja plights. The Cause of Urhobo’s laziness is because politicians have abandoned their people. Up till today, no Urhobo politician has called me to ask about the case of Aladja. I am not happy with your attitude.” Chief Omene called on Urhobo sons and daughters to come to the aid of Aladja community just as he assured that the UPU will explore all means at bringing peace to Aladja land. Chief Omene also noted that the UPU will liase with the national body of the Ijaw people in ensuring that all Ijaws vacate Urhobo land peacefully. Earlier in his remark on behalf of Aladja community, the Spokesperson of Aladja Elders Council, Snr. Apostle Jacob Kpeku accused the Ijaw people of allegedly hoisting their flags in Epame, Anyam and other hamlets of Aladja community. http://dailypost.ng/2016/11/17/war-looms-delta-urhobo-youths-give-ijaw-indigenes-14-day-ultimatum-vacate-udu-land/ |

.Fresh War In Warri: Urhobos Vs. Itsekiris 30/05/2001 Adey Oyenuga Fresh War In Warri Tempo (Lagos) June 7, 2001 Posted to the web May 30, 2001 Warri, Delta State erupts in inter-ethnic violence after months of uneasy calm. Fidelis Soriwei reports Last Friday, Warri became a theatre of yet another inter-ethnic crisis. The gladiators in the city's latest ethnic uprising, the Okere-Urhobos and the Itsekiris are locked in a grim battle for the recurring issue of the ownership of Okere, as it affects the proposed creation of local government area in Warri. Since the resumption of hostilities between these two neighbouring tribes, several lives have been wasted with properties worth million of naira destroyed. The worst affected areas in the crisis are the Okere, Ajamogha and Olomu areas of the city. TEMPO gathered that the current bloodbath was triggered by the people's reaction to the visit by members of the House of Assembly Committee of Local Government creation. The House committee members, who were expected to visit the Warri South Local Government council, with a view to making their recommendation on an issue reported to be the most burning in today's Delta State had their mission stalled. In Warri, the field trip of the House Committee was bound to let the fury sparks fly. Investigations recalled that the rising tension in the Warri South Secretariat venue suddenly snowballed into violence and hostilities between the Urhobos, who had petitioned the committee for the creation of a separate council for the Okere-Urhobo, Agbarha area and the Itsekiri, who have vowed, never to have the Warri South Local Government split. The Itsekiris claim that it was a political absurdity for the Urhobos, who are "tenants" in Warri to demand for their own local government area. With this conviction, the Itsekiri had petitioned the House Committee to register their resentment of any attempt to create a new local government for the Urhobos out of the present Warri South Local Government Area. The letter, signed by Okere Uku, deputy Olajara of Okere, Scot Uwejamomere, David Oki, Tosan Awani, Sunday Tseke, Emiko Orumi and Arthur Iduredum, regarded as "fraudulent" the Urhobos' demand for a local government of their own out of the present Warri South Local Government Area. It was learnt that prior to the visit of the House Committee members, Chief Joseph Otumara, chairman of the Warri South Local Government Area and the entire legislative arm had kicked against the creation of another local government in Warri. Their position was reflected in a statement by Hon. Godwin I. Abigon that "due constitutional process was disregarded by agitators for the creation of new local council out of the present Warri South Local Government Area . However, faulting, the Itsekiri's claim, Chief Benjamin Okumagba, the Ofala of Okere Urhobo, and the president general of the Urhobo Progressive Union, argued that the Urhobos' demand was for a separate local government intended to serve the Urhobos of Warri and not the Itsekiri. "We are asking for a local government of our own to serve the people of Okere Urhobo kingdom, Warri; and not for any Itsekiri in Warri." Okumagba who alleged that the hostilities were triggered by protesting Itsekiri, youth, women, who prevented the committee members from gaining entrance to the secretariat, also faulted the Itsekiri claim of ownership to Okere. According to reports attributed to him, the contest for the Okere area, which belongs to the Urhobos dates back to the 60s. He stated that the Okere land had been an issue for litigation in 1968, and was decided in favour of the Urhobos in the supreme court. For now, Warri is fast becoming a ghost town. Already, the residents, who are familiar with the cost of the recurring inter-ethnic feuds for which Warri has become notorious are scampering for safety in droves. Not when the heavy militarisation of strategic points could provide the succour for the embattled city. Chief Okumagba, leaders of the Okere community is accusing the security personnel of partiality. His grouse against them is that the building burnt in the Okere area, were razed because the soldiers disarmed the Urhobos and made them to tactically withdraw, after which the Itsekiri youths launched their attack. Although the ethnic gladiators seem to have laid own their arms, the calm in Warri is unusual. Tension still hangs thick in the air. The city of Warri was rocked by an internecine crisis between the Ijaws and the Itsekiris in 1996 over the location of the Warri South-West Local Government Area from Ogbe-Ijaw and Ijaw town to Ogidigben, an Itsekiri town. After this crisis, the city was again caught in a tribal inferno between the Okere Urhobos and Itsekiris. This resulted in the burning of not less than 500 buildings and the killing of several hundreds of people. Yet, the threat of ethnic war has continued to assail the increasing fragility of Warri's peace. The lingering issue has been the relocation of the Warri South-West Local Government Area from Ogbe-Ijaw to Ogidigben. With the advent of the Ibori administration, efforts were made to address the issue. In 1999, the Delta State House of Assembly passed a bill, relocating the headquarters of the Warri South-West Local Government Area back to Ogbe-Ijaw. But the decision triggered a reaction from councillors representing Ogidigben, Okere, and Ajudaito, Messrs. Anthony Kehide Olomu, Emmanuel Oritseweyinmi and David Tonwe who challenged the decision in court. The Itsekiri lawmakers are embroiled in legal battle to prevent the relocation as passed by the state House of Assembly. Only in December 2000, when the verdict of the case was expected, it triggered a massive exodus of people from the city. However, when TEMPO contacted the police area commander in Warri, Mr. Nurebi Sholabi, he confirmed the skirmishes in the town. He, however, added that the town is now very peaceful, while adding that the conflict was not between the whole of Urhobo, against the Itsekiris, but the Okere Urhobos. The police boss further stated that the army currently stationed in Warri had arrested some people who are being held at the David Ejoor Barracks. A source in Warri however put the number of those arrested at 46. https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/soc.culture.nigeria/B-cI2VFTKlM |

MENU Fresh Escravos violence tests Itsekiri/Ijaw relationship in Delta Posted By: Shola O’Neil On: April 17, 2015 In: Niger Delta 0 Will there ever be a time that the Ijaw and Itsekiri in Delta State will live in unity? Events of the last decades suggest it will never happen. S’South Regional Editor Shola O’Neil reports on the fresh violence between the two groups in Escravos The early Tuesday morning fracas between the Ijaw and Itsekiri in Escravos area of Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State once again highlighted how delicate the relationship between the two ethnic groups has remained, over 10 years after the end of the fratricidal war between them from 1997 to 2014. That war, which was the predecessor of the Niger Delta crisis, led to thousands of death, particularly on the side of the Itsekiris, whose communities were plundered and sacked from Warri South, South West and North LGAs. Trouble again broke out in the wee hours of that Tuesday after three irate Itsekiri boys attacked and brutally wounded an Ijaw security guard working at the site of a deep sea project in the area. The dastardly attack drew a very tough and brutal response from Ijaw militias. Over 30 youths armed with sophisticated weapon, took off from one of their communities, thought to be Oporoza, and stormed Madangho, an Itsekiri community located opposite the Escravos Tank Farm and Gas to Liquid complex of Chevron Nigeria Limited, in the dead of the night. For several hours they rained bullets on the town from the seashore. People, including the elderly women, youths and children who were rudely woken up from sleep, scampered for safety in the dead of the night. Several persons were wounded in their desperate bids to get out of harm’s away. The fleeing persons crawled out of the ‘war front’ on their belly, ostensibly to avoid stopping flying bullets. One source said flying bullets wheezed passed his head severally. “It was almost a return to the Warri crisis; fathers forgot their children and ran for dear lives. Men, women and everybody took off and ran into the bushes, some jumped into the river and swam away to safe shores. It was the same madness all over again,” a menial laborer in the town who simply identified as Friday told our reporter. When the staccato of gunfire died, some of the marauders disembarked from their boats, doused houses with petrol and set them afire. They left a trail of destruction on other parts of the town. Hours later, an eerie silence fell over the darkness, reaching as far as Ode-Ugborodo, Ajuadaibo, Ogidigben and Arunto, the other Itsekiri settlements that make up Ugborodo, and even Warri and beyond. Panicky inhabitants were already packing their bags and girding their loins, ready to beat a hasty exit should the gunfire come nearer their in habitation. Painful memories of deaths, blazing guns and burning houses came back for those who witnessed the seven-year pogrom. However thry were relieved when the gunfire died and reports came that the siege was over. But the interregnum of silence didn’t last long; the marauders returned again with more weapons and ammunition and the orgy of shooting and violence returned with them. But this time the sporadic gunfire attracted the attention of a military post in the area. A source said: “The soldiers came and they faced-off for a while, after which the marauders felt they had had enough. They pulled out and left, but kept on shooting until their boats were safely in the centre of the river and zoomed off.” Tension had gripped the areas since early January when ex-militants threatened to unleash mayhem if President Jonathan did not win the election. The tension became even more palpable when the APC candidate won the March 28 election. “That night we monitored the results until the winner was announced. We had people watching the waterways for any sign of impending invasion because we know that they (ex-militants) cannot go and fight the Hausa/Fulani in the north, we would be their targets,” one Ugborodo youth said. Although the intervention of the military men brought the Tuesday morning party to an abrupt close, it was clear that the intention of the attackers was not to kill their victims. “It was more a show of might more than anything. They wanted to show their counterparts that they could still hit them hard if they want to,” a security source in the area told our reporter. Frantic telephone calls between some notable elements on both sides pulled the attackers out of the brink. One of the Itsekiri youths, who called our reporter when the second shooting started at about 3:45am, later said: “We learnt that the council chairman, Chief George Ekpemupolo (sibling of Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), David Tonwe and Tompolo were in constant touch that night and made frenetic efforts to reach out to their people to ensure that the matter didn’t escalate. They have been working together for peace and they were able to calm the situation and ensure that it didn’t get out of hand.” The Commanding Officer, 3 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, Lt Col. Ekong Bassey, confirmed that the leaders from both sides waded into p the matter and we’re working hard to ensure that the situation did not escalate further. He urged both parties to continue to be law abiding and not take action that could torpedo the existing peace in the area. Still, inspire of the security presence, the aggrieved Ijaw youths mounted blockades on the waterways and prevented boats carrying Itsekiri people or persons from the Itsekiri communities from going to Warri and other destinations. Transport boats taking passengers and commodities to the area from upland towns were also turned back. Chief Ayirimi Emami denounced the invasion and subsequent burning of houses in Madangho. He traced the initial action of the Itsekiri youths to the disagreement over the project land and the clearing of same site without consultation with the committee set up by the state government. “Besides, whatever happened at the project site was not enough for some people to roll out guns and visit mayhem on defenseless community people. It is a clear act of banditry and totally uncalled for and must be condemned. There are fights everyday in other communities, people don’t unleash heavy weapons and brute force on their neighbours. This has shown that there is more to it,” Emami told our reporter in a telephone chat on Wednesday. His claim confirmed persistence of mutual distrust between the two sides over the years, in spite of several attempts at peace building. Our reporter noted that minor disagreements between them are almost always followed by threats of war and reenactment of the seven years of bloodletting and bestiary killings. Our investigation revealed that the Tuesday skirmish was a carryover of the Ijaw/Itsekiri crisis. Ikpokpo (or Kpokpo), depends on which side is staking the claim, was said to be one of the communities seized by the Ijaws after sacking dozens of communities from their weaker neighbours in the 1990s crisis. The community, which borders Ugborodo and Gbaramatu, Ijaw and Itsekiri clans, had remained almost fallow since the end of the war. It became attractive following the siting of the $16billion Delta Gas City project in the area by the outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan administration. Although the project was initially named after Ogidigben, one of five settlements that make up the Ugborodo community, trouble started when the Gbaramatu demanded their inclusion as stakeholder. Their argument was that Ikpokpo, which is site of the deep sea arm of the mega project, was theirs. Chief Godspower Gbenekama, a prominent Gbaramatu leader, said the land was theirs, warning that they would resist the injustice. The contention and subsequent threat of war by the Ijaw infamously led to President Goodluck Jonathan’s postponement of the groundbreaking ceremony at least thrice. He sited security challenges and threat to peace. The Itsekiri, in return, famously tagged him an ethnic President, memo they also accused of pandering to the whims and caprices of his kinsmen. Although the ceremony was later performed on the 26 of March, it was alleged that the President motive merely part of his national vote-hunting drive on the eve of the presidential election, which he later lost, than because he felt genuinely committed to the project, as the Itsekiri had threatened to vote massively against him. Prior to the March 26 event, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), which oversees the Federal Government’s stake in the project; Delta State Government and other stakeholders from the two ethnic groups met severally to hammer out a mutually satisfactory peace deal. According to the term of the deal, the gas project remain in Ogidigben, while the deep sea port recede into Gbaramatu in order to create a win-win scenario for all parties. Despite that deal, some stakeholders, particularly the Itsekiri people remained unperturbed and unimpressed. Notable among the disgruntled member was the effervescent Chief Emami. He insisted that the NNPC had not come out to explain to the Itsekiri if it was acquiring a fresh parcel of land from the Ijaw or it if was the same land that they have earmarked for the project. Notable Itsekiri politicians and aspirants kept their part of the deal and worked with Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan to ‘deliver’ the President and other candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the general elections. Emami, who was uncomfortable with the deal, left the PDP and pitch his tent with the opposition All Progressive Congress. Emami, He accused some of his kinsmen of selling their tribe for their business and political interests. At the time of this report on Wednesday, calm had return to the area; the waterways was opened to nor business and people of the sides have left the trenches. Yet, some persons believe that the existing peace is merely the peace of the graveyard. In the words of one of the beleaguered residents, “Nobody knows when another round of shooting will take place. We are not sleeping with our eyes close yet, not today or tomorrow.” http://thenationonlineng.net/fresh-escravos-violence-tests-itsekiriijaw-relationship-in-delta/ |

Let me address some issues raised on your article . First of all the itsekiris were never at the mercy of ijaw, the crisis cost both itsekiri, ijaw and urhobo a lot and since that crisis no tribe dare bring the issue of war. And secondly the issue of warri city and warri kingdom. Warri city: warri city is owned by urhobo/isoko , itsekiri and ijaw with 80% of the city been in urhobo land. Warri Kingdom: Warri kingdom refers to Itsekiri domain, the itsekiris refers to their land as iwerre or warri, so when the itsekiris say Olu of warri they mean Lord of all itsekiri land. while urhobo ONLY make use of warri when refering to urhobo towns in warri city. don't mix them up. a little contributions from some of my brothers will make you understand warri a little bit cc: onuwaje asaimagho frathermathy 1 Like |

Efewestern:Efe, you owe nobody explanation on the Ijaw/Itsekiri/Urhobo issue. The OP just want to cause e-war among the tribes; that is his purpose of creating the thread. The question is, what is HIS INTEREST in this subject when he is neither Ijaw nor Itsekiri nor Urhobo nor even a Deltan (and definitely he isn't from the South south geopolitical zone)? I saw a lot of crap and misinformation but I won't bother responding because they came from a misinformed and ill-conceived mind. 8 Likes |

Eastfield1: what claim are you refering to?, everybody knows urhobo land takes a huge part of warri city and urhobo no doubt acknowledge the fact that Itsekiri refers to their kingdom as warri. so the issue of who owns who have been settled. some of your point have no bearing as to why itsekiri and urhobos don't buy into the biafra idea.. 2 Likes |

All these issues can be solved once they have resource control. The problem is when your wealth is being exploited and you are poor, that causes conflict. A hungry man will fight his own brother if there is not enough food to go around. But when you control your resources, everyone will be well fed and less conflict. |

TonyeBarcanista: Our duty is to educate others about the current situation of things in warri , he meant no harm. most majority tribe derive joy when minorities clash, warri crisis taught ijaw/urhobo/itsekiri a lot of sense. we might engage in word battle on the front page of news paper but never are we going to kill ourselves. I am a strong advocate of Biafra without the " our oil" peeps. They seem to live in the Past. They will tell you they don't want BIAFRA and yet can't give you CONGENT reason why. It baffles me cos they stand to gain more than any other group. pls mi brothers, we don't need this pple. IJAW is a troublesome tribe who's aim is to colonize the rest of "Our Oil" peeps. If there is a state in SS that should be included, it should be CALABAR They don't have Oil, before they will say we re after their Oil and we will develope their SEA PORT which the present FG HAS FAILED TO DO. Woe to the s called SS if IGBOS secede without them, you will know the true color of Hausa Fulani. Woe to the so called NIGER DELTA tribes, IJAW will make vegetable soup of you. |

Eastfield1: It appears that the essence of Biafra is driving many Nigerians totally insane. Otherwise, how could a person with human intellect drum up these idiotic junks as reasons to join Biafra or not? Since the inception of Nigeria, the community clashes between Ijo, Itshekiri and Urhobos are common occurrences. At least, one can make the argument that community clashes could be a thing of the past in Biafra. As in Nigeria today, reality is the order of the day and community clashes among Ijo, Itshekiri and Urhobos has become a common thing. If the so-called minorities have teeth and tongues, they can use the latter to count their dirty teeth. As for the crap of Ijo annexing anything in Bayelsa State or Rivers Stats, is a pure daydream that has no reality of life. |

The reason the minorities are scared of joining biafra is becoz biafra is not a fertile ground for the minorities. For example, i ve not heard of an urhobo billionaire that made his money from igbo land. Urhobo has made so much money from yoruba land and the north. If not for islam, the urhobos are more at peace with the hausas than igbos. The issue of warri crisis will linger on forever until the itsekiris differentiate between ode-itsekiri or iwere (old warri) and warri town ( new warri). 6 Likes |
