Some mother in laws can be something else. When their sons get married, they see themselves as goddesses that need to be worshipped. Making wahala upandan forgetting they are in another woman's home. Though, am not in support of ur Sister in law, but what if you get there and reverse becomes the case hope you would go back and beat your mother?. |

Greenbullet: What transpired between your mother and your sister in law? Yeah it sounds really bad but something always leads to something. Without the full picture I will not be passing judgement. I maintain that as much as some wives can be much, mothers are not always blameless and your mother will never give you the full picture if she was the aggressor. But know that the moment you enter your brothers house and assault his wife you are in deep shiiit and any thing you see na en you go carry including jail time for criminal trespass and aggravated assault causing bodily harm. And that is not adding to the rift that would only grow wider in your family. 3 Likes |

No matter what , she have no right to lift her hand on d old woman, my advice, did u have sisters capable of beating ur brothers wife, ? If yes, give them the Job, let them beat her to coma. If u don't, go to the nearest park, and hire Lati or Fali to deal with her, and if u must do it urself, be prepared to be locked up, it's worth it, and don't beat to kill. . |

Greenbullet: Green Bullet! Green Bullet! Bullet Green! How many times I call you? Hopefully you will take a second and breathe before you go and put a curse on your head. You have being patient enough to bring this matter to Nairaland where you are hoping to meet with insane people that will encourage you to barge into your brother's home and beat his wife. No matter what the case may be, don't ever do it. There are things you will do but beating her is not one of them. Let's take some time to try and be honest with ourselves here. First, you claim there is no love lost between your mother and your sister-in-law. I wonder why. We may not know them but we know typical African families. If your brother didn't marry a lunatic, you guys have finally driven her insane for her to lay her hands on an elderly person. We were not there, who knows maybe she didn't even beat her, maybe there was an incident of struggle. I hate those girl cat fights with their sharp nails. Bro, I know it can be very aggravating seeing your mom like that. But just take your time to try to find out what really happened. If you were in talking terms with your SIL which I doubt, call her up too to hear her own side of the story. If there are witnesses you are sure are not biased, hear from them too. Keep your brother abreast of the situation. Apply common sense and ask what he thinks of the whole matter and what he wants to do about it. Your own primary concern is to see your mother respects herself in the future and and not expose herself to such treatment ever again. If you aren't satisfied with the situation at your brother's end, keep your mother in your own house. Hopefully your own wife can get along with her fine without trouble. Let God give your SIL the koboko she deserves. She will get hers. Nobody gets away with anything. The point here is its not your place to judge and sentence her. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Re: My Elder Brother's Wife Beat My Mum (Picture) by dominique(f): 1:58pm On Jun 28, 2017 |
Why not let your brother handle this? Just like some men will say, a man cannot just wake-up one morning and start beating up his wife, I will also say same. A woman cannot just wake-up one and start beating up her MIL. What could have led to this? Are you sure the wife in question was also not injured during this fracas? Violence is NEVER the answer. If the wife was provoked, she should have calmed down and walked away from the situation. Inflicting injury on another is punishable by the law. Even though we have a weak justice system in this country, if they decide to prosecute your assault case, nobody can sav you. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Paretomaster: Uncle there is no such thing as no matter what you don't have a right to hit anyone. What if it was self defence? Those injuries don't look to me like a major assault type injury. They look like something someone can get from a forceful eviction. 1 Like |

@greenbullet--Go beat the hell outta her, show the man you truly are. Let the devil use you! So after beating her then what? I guess your mom will say you are an epitome of a good son, right! Apologise to your mom and don't beat a married woman. In fact, be silent about the event that happened. Do tell wife after 2-3weeks 'you would like to talk about the incident and you want her to know how hurt and disappointed you've been'. |

Mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law should not live under the same roof beyond 24 hours. These 2 species,no matter how good they are, cannot tolerate each other when in close proximity. Hence, the friction! Most mother-in-laws are actually MURDER-in-laws. They hate their sons' wives with disgust! 1 Like 1 Share |
