What's important here is not the job you are doing, but how passionate you are, and the RIGHT message you can pass on to your kids.

So long as you ain't breaking the law, and both parents are ok with it, there are NO bad job (to feed and care for your family), and as much as some are believed to be better than others, whether you carry shiit or take your clothes off Is irrelevant so long as the kids are fed and sleeping under a roof.

At this point in my life yes it's important, it might sound vain but I'm not going to be with a man who has not put up as much effort as I did to better themselves. I don't stress about which career path one took but you had better be well qualified and skilled.

The second question shouldn't be there for me. When I first go out with you , one of the first things I want to know is what it is that you do daily and where? . So if I'm not satisfied from there , no need to go on further dates let alone starting a relationship.

I would have loved to date a pilot , probably because at some point I wanted to be one so this would have cured my curiosity .
