Damn he bounced back!!!

With all the Government support and his new ventures, Dangote will def surpass that. Adenuga needs to start diversifying again.

Sorry Bros for the misunderstanding, the useless journalist used Forbes 2016 figures for adenuga but after the devaluation he has dropped to $5.8 billion.

I just confirmed from Forbes this morning. As a matter of fact only 3 Nigerians are on the list this year. All others have dropped due to devaluation of naira.

Teniola Adejuwon has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History & International Relations, from Lagos State University, Ojo in lagos State. But her passion has always been how to make people of both sexes look beautiful. Straight from school, she delved into the beauty business, working with various groups in the make-up and beauty industry. She was part of the Makeup In Nigeria Conference held in 2014, before she decided to take the plunge into the business world, by setting up her own outfit known as Beauty By Nature Incorporated.. But that is not all. Today, she is the Managing Partner, Makeup In Nigeria Group (M.I.N.C Group).

Teniola's experience in the beauty retail business (with more than 10 years of work in various capacities), exposed her to the challenges that beauty care consumers and brands often face. These range from imitation products, to difficulties in matching beauty products, to the right skin type or hair texture, and how to get genuine products that do not cost an arm and a leg, but would still do the job!

In her quest for solutions, she met Wale Babatunde, a product development specialist. Both of them decided to merge their skills and expertise and a new company was born called Podozi, an e-commerce beauty platform that simplifies the buying of beauty and personal care products for African women. Podozi is one of the four startups in the startup program by Nairobi based Savannah Fund.

Podozi, describes itself as "a beauty-tech company building next generation brands; we leverage cutting edge technology to empower our user to achieve self-discovery, self-expression and forge global connections. From conceptualization to design, every product is inspired by what women want in real life, made by experts who understand the power of beauty.

Our passion is Beauty, and our calling is to solve the problem of finding right fit products, for multicultural women; we believe an amazing customer experience is driven by a personal understanding of (and a relationship with) our customers.

Our flagship brand, Miah, is a membership-based luxury brand, that allows women to customize the products, so that it perfectly matches their skin tones & personal preferences.

We are redefining the way multicultural consumers discover products. To us, beauty is a productivity tool, that can be harnessed for empowerment, and doing good. Our platform elevates the wellbeing of our users, allowing them to make their own beauty." https://angel.co/podozi

El-Mansur Atelier Group is an AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) company (in Nigeria with international affiliations) with a commitment to providing bespoke design and construction services.

Tunde Oyekola is the Principal Partner/Architect of El-Mansur Atelier. He graduated with 1st class honours in Architecture, from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and capped it with a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Architecture, from the Ahmadu Bello University, where he was also the best graduating student in his set. Oyekola is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects as well as the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria. He is a member of Nigerian Institute of Architects, an International Associate of the American Institute of Architects, a member of the Airport Consultants Council as well as the International Association of Airport Executives.

His firm, El-Mansur Atelier Group (EMA) has already delivered 3 airport projects in Nigeria, and is currently working on its fourth airport project in Bayelsa State. These airports are Asaba Airport, Dutse International Airport, and Jalingo Airport all within Nigeria. Oyekola has nurtured EMA's make giant strides since its inception, to enable it to become a major player in the Nigerian design and building industry.

"The CEO of El-Mansur Atelier Group, Mr. Tunde Oyekola, is a specialist in Airport designs, and his organisation is the brain behind the ongoing Dutse Airport Project, in Jigawa State. In this encounter with Dele Ogbodo, he explained that Governor Sule Lamido's marching order and financial back-up were the impetus behind the timely completion of the N11.5 billion Dutse airport for commissioning in February 2014.

First, I would like to say that the government of Jigawa State, under the leadership of Governor Sule Lamido, had always wished to bequeath to the people of the state an international airport, and so our bid was to help midwife this dream. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has different categories of airports which are designated based on the facilities available. There is usually a long chart of what constitutes an international airport, there are categories A, B, C and D as the case may be. What we are building for Jigawa State which is purely financed by the state, without any form of private collaboration at the cost of N11.5 billion, is in the category of international airport, which falls into category 'A'." Over time, the airport will assume the status of Lagos and Abuja airports. http://allafrica.com/stories/201401130730.html

Tunde Okoya incorporated Lange and Grant Commodities Limited, and Lange and Grant Engineering Services Limited, in 2004, with a major objective to build and construct quality pre-steel structures, and modular building systems to specification, within a specified construction and planning framework, with due regard to standard safety practice and procedures.

Since then, the company has gained valuable experience by specializing in the construction of large prefabricated structures, pharmaceutical clean rooms, production factories, airport terminals/hangers, portacabins for site offices, labour camps and commercial housing developments, poultry hatcheries, cold rooms, abattoirs, telecom base shelters and warehouse structures.

Its' clients range from MTN, Glo, Etisalat to Dangote Industries, Saipem, Promasidor, Saipem and even, the Lagos State Government. It was listed in 45th place, in the Nigeria 50 Awards hosted by the Tony Elumelu Foundation, to honour the top 50 fastest growing firms in Nigeria.

Its' product range include Roofing Sheets, Sandwiched Panels, Portacabins, ATM & Retail Kiosks, Ice Bins, Cold Rooms and In-store Furniture

Lange and Grant is very clear about how it executes each brief it receives from any of its clients. Quality, speed, accuracy, detailed craftsmanship and prompt delivery are its' principles. It humbly describes itself as "a manufacturing and integrated projects development company, with a complete in-house assembling line facility, to produce in a massive scale large insulated sandwich panel, made with polyurethane foam, for commercial projects and low cost housing, using modular building technology and pre- engineered system."

"We pioneered the construction of mobile ATM kiosks for the banks. We deployed hundreds of such kiosks for different banks in Nigeria. We see ourselves as a company that provides solutions. Our core business really is modular building systems, so we are in the business of managing space for our clients, to allow them to be more nimble in delivering their products to their own clients. For instance, banks realised that they get more traffic in their ATM machines if they are positioned in areas with high demographics to suit their product offering so when we initiated the mobile ATM kiosk, it allowed them the flexibility to position their kiosks in areas where they can achieve the highest traffic to their ATM machine..."

The goal at ULTIMA is to develop quality content locally that meets or beats Global standards. Driven by a passion to be the best, Ultima’s team is constantly reviewing and raising the benchmarks for creativity and the quality of production. This constant striving for excellence, resulted in exceptional positive reviews of Who Wants to be a Millionaire (WWTBAM) -ULTIMA’s flagship programme.

The ability to leverage technology to enable 2-way communication and participation during programmes, has been enhanced with the availability of telephony and social media platforms such as GSM, Twitter, Facebook, Google plus etc. The availability, spread and affordability of these services, has encouraged greater participation in interactive programmes, in the genre that ULTIMA has developed.

ULTIMA as a self-regulating organization, constantly seeks to ensure that both internal and public standards are fair and are abided with, and so it proactively sought authorization to initiate participative TV, that charged a premium from the National Communications Commission (NCC) the regulatory agency of the telecommunications sector.

Oxygen Broadband Networks Nigeria Limited provides high-capacity internet services for SMEs, large corporations and public spaces around Lagos. It is a WiFi internet provider delivering super-fast and affordable internet service, since 2005. The company has been driving its expansion out of Computer Village Ikeja where it debuted its metro Wi-Fi in 2012, to other parts of Lagos.

In 2016, Oxygen Broadband has reached other parts of Lagos. Keeping with its mission of distributing “Internet For Everyone,” 2017 will see Oxygen drive expansion more aggressively. Unfortunately, the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Oxygen Broadband Networks, Wande Adalemo resigned from the broadband support company in 2015, - a firm which he struggled to build as co-founder since 2005.

" Working with Oxygen was an exciting and rewarding time for me. However, the time has come for me move on to newer challenges." Although he did not give details and reasons for leaving a technology company he ran for 10 years as Chief Operating Officer, providing broadband services to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), including large corporate organisations, Adalemo, however, said one thing that is constant in the life of a visionary technocrat, was change and that it was time to make such change in his career, in order to move forward in life.

Adalemo has a background in wireless communication. He has over 16 years hands-on experience in the wireless industry, 15 of which are in broadband related technologies. He set up Nigeria's first and largest Metro Wi-Fi network with over 200,000 devices connected in just 24 months of going live and over 80 hotspot locations in Lagos. Adalemo is known as a man with a lot of passion and ideas for what he has called "the broadband ecosystem." He is known as an expert on Broadband related issues. http://allafrica.com/stories/201509171186.html

In 2014, Oxygen Broadband Nigeria was awarded the Best Wi-fi Provision Company of the year at the Nigerian Telecom Awards. Oxygen Broadband also sealed a partnership deal with Chicken Republic, to provide free Wi-Fi internet service at all its' outlets across Nigeria. Some of the Chicken Republic’s outlets that have been connected include those of Marina, Ajose Adeogun St. & Adeola Odeku St., (both in Victoria Island), Admiralty Way, Lekki, Awolowo Way, Ikoyi, Bode Thomas, Surulere, Jibowu, Ikosi Ketu and Ikeja City mall - all within Lagos. Hastom Global Services Limited is investing in a new frontier of agri-business, and creating investment opportunities for people interested in farming, or existing farmers. With their team of experts, specialists and consultants, Hastom Global Services has garnered a reputation as the biggest farmland sales and management company, and has helped scores of prospective and professional farmers, to acquire farmlands.

The company was set up by Debo Thomas Olushola who wanted to help more people, get engaged in farming. He does this by bundling agricultural investment options into accessible plans, like the Smart-Agro Investor Plan, Cashew Power Investment Plan, Hastom Seed, and Farmland.

Hastom Green Project, located along Ogbomoso-Igbeti road, Oriire Local government area, Oyo State, is renowned for its unrivaled fertility—a virgin land that supports virtually all kinds of plantation. There, big farm plantations (maize, cashew, cucumber, pepper, water-melon, soyabean etc.) over vast hundred hectares are grown by independent farmers, agro-groups and association, and cross-border agro-investors.

Presently, the company has its' own personal maize and cashew plantation that spans over a hundred acres. They also have very fertile farmlands in numerous places, that are readily available. They are into large scale, mechanized farming too, not just promoting it.

Hastom Green City is a 720-hectare agro-city, being planned and positioned to be the melting point for agriculture, trade, and tourism. We plan to create from the city investment opportunities through leverage on the brand’s commercial value. It’s also been planned to be the best agricultural center ever, through our through our Agro-Tourism concept: A center of adventure, learning and relaxation where people from all over the world, are welcome to blossom in the fondness of nature, and flaunt in the aura of our agro-paradise. Features are a Golf course, Cattle ranch; Horse stables/Horse racing, Food and cash crop production, Aquaculture, apiary, livestock, a research institute, modern agro-training center, agro-processing center, fishing and hunting, zoo, and weight management/fitness center, and many more. http://www.hastomnigeria.com/BriefProfile

When Tola Faseru put together Colossus Investment Limited to export agricultural commodities including Cocoa beans and raw cashew nuts, in 1993 he had no idea that it would become so successful in such a short time.

Today, as the arguably biggest Cashew exporter in Nigeria (after Olam), Tola Faseru has been named the National President of the National Cashew Association of Nigeria (NCAN). His company Colossus Investment Limited, also sells agricultural processing machinery and provides training and consultancy services for farmers.

His company also runs Colossus Academy, an export training programme, for prospective and existing exporters. At the Commodity Export Business Training run by the academy, exporters receive first hand expert advice and mentoring, on starting a Commodity Export Business. They are also taught how to avoid being the victim of international trade fraud.

Dr. Ladi Awosika
Chief Executive Officer

In 1996 three committed and pioneering doctors joined forces to set up the first ever incorporated Health Management Organisation (HMO) in the country. Dr Ladi Awosika, Dr Ebun Sonaiya and Dr Femi Ogunbekun had jointly, with other medical practitioners, also founded the Guild of Medical Directors (GMD) seven years earlier, to recognise medicine as a business. Their vision for the HMO was to provide patients with access to affordable, quality healthcare while creating a sustainable environment in which healthcare providers could deliver services.

With financial backing from Leadway Assurance Company, Total Health Trust was born and started operations in 1997. With no industry, no competitor and no regulator in existence, THT’s creation marked the genesis of the managed healthcare sector in Nigeria.

The company set about building a pre-paid healthcare solution for Nigeria modelled on the US and Latin American countries. The founders were writing history as they grew THT into the formidable company it is today. In recognition of their pivotal role, they became strategic advisors to the federal government in its formation of the National Health Insurance Scheme which would ultimately create and regulate the entire industry.

THT helps make healthcare work in Nigeria. We enable our customers to access affordable, reliable healthcare and we support healthcare providers in their efforts to deliver it.

THT is Nigeria’s leading Health Management Organisations (HMO), and was awarded the HMO of The Year 2016 at the Nigeria Healthcare Excellence Awards. Renowned by our stakeholders for our reliability, we have been connecting our members to healthcare providers since 1998. Our unrivaled 17 year industry track record has seen us build a formidable reputation in Nigeria and we remain the HMO of choice for over 300,000 members, over 500 corporate clients and government institutions.

We have one of the largest networks of independent service providers, made up of over 500 private and 1,550 NHIS-accredited clinics and hospitals throughout Nigeria. Because we know your life may depend on this network, we continuously monitor our service providers and ensure that we pay promptly for their services. This commitment to supporting our healthcare providers professionally and financially has made us the trusted HMO for most hospitals and clinics in Nigeria.

Today, THT is one of very few HMOs in the country that has attracted the financial and technical backing of an international partner, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Liberty Group of South Africa, a progressive pan African institution which offers a comprehensive range of insurance, investments and financial services.

Through Liberty, we have created a robust administrative and technology platform on which our business is built – allowing us to provide a more seamless and efficient service to our members. In addition we have expanded our product portfolio to include internationally benchmarked offerings.

With over 200 staff operating out of our head office in Lagos and eleven regional offices in Kaduna, Calabar, Ibadan, Benin, Abeokuta, Enugu, Ilorin, Port Harcourt and Abuja, THT has the capacity to deliver excellent service, underpinned by a solid infrastructure, a clear vision for the future and a dynamic international team to help get us there.

DIYLaw.ng is an online platform, that uses technology to create access to legal services in Africa, beginning with Nigeria. DIYlaw, which is currently in its public beta stage, allows users to purchase registration packages online. Other products to be launched in the coming months include a portal for legal documents, a resource platform and a directory/lead generation platform for lawyers.

DIYLaw.ng seeks to be a one-stop hub for all legal documents, that entrepreneurs and SME business owners would need to start-up their businesses. The platform offers DIY Registrations, which automates business-related registration processes, and DIY Documents, which automates business and personal legal documents.

DIYlaw, was set up by three Nigerian women Bola Olonisakin, Funkola Odeleye and Odunoluwa Longe. The 3 ladies who own called DIYLaw, won 1st position at the Innovating Justice Award for the SME Empowerment Innovation Challenge for East and West Africa. The challenge was organised by The Hague Institute for the Internationalisation of Law (HiiL). The award came with a $40,000 USD cash prize for their company.

Co-founder Odunoluwa Longe told Disrupt Africa the startup would this year also roll out DIY Resources, a free, online, easy to understand resources platform, and DIY Engage, a directory, classification and lead generation platform for lawyers.

The founding team has a background in the legal sector, with Longe and fellow co-founder Funkola Odeleye running The Longe Practice LP, an entrepreneur-focused law firm, that represents many Nigerian tech startups. Longe said they had realised they could use technology to make legal services easier to access, for entrepreneurs in Africa.

DIYlaw aims to tackle the lack of efficiency and accessibility in the legal industry, by providing quality legal services at affordable prices. “Globally, the legal industry is a conservative one. Our aim is to use technology to make legal services more efficient, available and affordable to as many people as need it in Africa,” Longe said. http://disrupt-africa.com/2016/04/diylaw-leads-charge-in-african-legal-tech-sector/

Delivery Science, offers an enterprise supply chain software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution for companies operating robust logistics and supply chain business processes. The company simplifies goods and services delivery, by providing audit, tracking and management of shipments, assets and delivery, in real-time. They harness data to drive and deploy analytics. The company’s flagship product called FieldInsightTM, increases sales and reduces overhead costs, by removing the friction involved in completing a transaction with the manufacturer.

Co-founder, Lanre Oyedotun notes that the benefits of their product can be seen from the angle of a decrease in the following types of incidents:
(1) lost revenues because of stock outs;
(2) poor cash management with the ability to accurately stock inventory in-line with market demand;
(3) the transparency to eliminate lost inventory due to theft.”

The products comes in a bundle of different modules, that are priced separately. The modules range from Data Aggregation, to Order Acceptance, Proof Of Delivery, Accept Payments, Reporting and Live Maps.

According to Oyedotun (former CEO of Chronos a venture development and technology consultancy, and CTO of payment startup, iThena Logic), Delivery Science is one of the few Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) certified Aggregators, and is ultimately concerned with using data science and technology to simplify the optimization of delivery of goods and services, which informed the name “Delivery Science”.

Explaining further, he said : “You can imagine where a client places an order with a manufacturing company for goods worth over N50million; these goods are loaded in about 20 trucks, but at the end of the day 18 trucks are delivered. What happened to the remaining two? It will amaze you that at the end of the day, nobody can credibly inundate the company on the whereabouts of these goods. In fact, Delivery Science is on a mission to help companies overcome the challenge."

"Most Companies have lost revenue to litigations, diversion of commodities, late delivery and so on which brings the need for ‘Visibility.’” 'Ensuring visibility,' he said, 'that is one of the unique selling values of the SaaS technology of Delivery Science Software.' http://www.newswatchnigeria.com/delivery-management-is-seamless-with-delivery-science-saas/

There are various healthcare practices in Nigeria that have been birthed from the innovation and ideas of various doctors cum entrepreneurs. Some of these healthcare practices have gained tremendous amounts of success, making huge and super profits; in addition to having a huge staff load. However, they suffer a lack of continuity; either by losing the innovator or going bankrupt. These scenarios are no faults of the innovator but are due to their inability to manage the responsibilities of the success their establishment has achieved over a period of time effectively and efficiently. With a huge and growing number of processes and employees, there is little or nothing the innovator can do to the dilution of the culture that the organization was birthed from; which also can lead to the negligence of the vision, mission and objective of the establishment. Some of these establishments have also suffered stagnation over a long period despite having the right resources at their disposal.

Being part of a dynasty which owned and managed different healthcare brands over the last decade; we at Realms Healthcare Services Consulting Limited understand the impact of managing specialized services on the bottom-line
