I always advice people to do paper route primarily to avert potential pitfalls. But if you want to do online and think you absolutely know what you are doing, I respect it. Well, I know the online route worked for me very well. The reason why we are in this forum is to know all the important things to add to the application before applying. About gaps, Obviously, in any application, even for jobs, you know the gaps would be queried. It's not rocket science na.

This is a serious problem. Why are you going for an undergraduate course when you have a bachelors degree? The determination of whether you are a genuine student will be determined from your answer to this question. Did you reveal to the school that you have a bachelors and they gave you admission as an undergraduate? If you disclosed to the school, then you should disclose to CIC. If you didn't, I am not here to help you break protocol and the law, that is your own decision to determine.

If you have masters already and going for a second masters, essentially a repetition, chances are that you can easily get admission, especially if it is a UK MSC you are applying with. The visa officers usually have problems with people going for a second masters. So be prepared to justify a tangible reason for why a masters and not a PHD.

I agree somewhat with this but not totally. So @jnyuwa02 and others, can we brainstorm here on how to justify a second masters rather than a PhD? Can someone argue that they need to improve their career prospects and are not going into academic pursuits or teaching? Or thet they want to consolidate on their knowledge. Would any of this suffice?

There is no problem with using a non relative as a sponsor.Please try and read through the thread on how to do this properly. Use the search button and read up all discussions on sponsorship.

Most schools in Canada would have applicants upload a soft copy of their transcripts online on the application portal and upon admission, official transcripts would be requested and sent directly from the issuing institution in a sealed envelop bearing all appropraite stamps, seals and signatures. I don't see how sending it for evaluation now would prevent it from being requested for subsequently.

That being said, evaluation of educational credentials are majorly done for immigration or job purposes especially in Canada simply because these institutions requesting such evaluation do not have the capacity to evaluate it themselves and the authorized evaluation body most likely will request official documentation sent from the issuing schools at each time of evaluation.

Universities, colleges, schools etc have the capacity to evaluate each credential submitted because they are educational institutions and have commitees responsible for such evaluation. So i believe they will not have to request for an evaluated degree at any time of application for admission.

The idea of request of official document is to confirm the authenticity of the document(s). A conferred degree can be withdrawn from the recipient at anytime if later discovered the recipient fell short of the award. So official transcripts will ALWAYS be requested at any application for evaluation or admission.

Concerning cost of these evaluations, it totally will be dependent on the requirements and procedures.

Is it required in the school you are applying too for transcript evaluation? If yes go ahead. If no you don't need then except you are doing it for PR sake again.

If you go first then your wife will apply for an open work permit. Sometimes it called spousal open work permit and as for your child he or she will apply for just TRV if he or she is above 4-5years then they will apply for study permit.
