Brendaniel:Let the ranching start from the north. They have large arable land, so what is stopping the governors in the north taking the initiative since Buhari govt. Let be objective in the action we take in this country, we all know there is trust issues amongst us. Presently, there are private investments in ranching in SE. So what is stopping them in the north, are they waiting as usual for government feeding bottle? |

Berankis:When the president went to Benue to declare the killings as farmer-herder clashes, do you think he doesn't know it's genocide? Any country where politicians play politics with people's lives will never prosper. All the running around by Tinubu is because of US demands, and he knows they can give him Jonathan's treatment, hence he is trying to put up a show. If truly this man had a plan or desire to end terrorism, we would have seen it from the very first day like "subsidy is gone" his effort to deal with the issue from the root. All he is doing now is driven by the fear of US and Trump |
Tayorshd87:And also for those who has continued to sustain it in one way or the other with other people's blood |
Lanruze:Some people are so good in twisting history. Obasanjo had his failings but still remained the best civilian president so far. |
12345baba:Because the watchdogs are pretending to be asleep. ECOWAS and OAU are toothless because most of the leaders are themselves sit-tight presidents who made sure to shrink civic spaces in their countries. |
PigTormentor:But you Americans are not fleeing from your country, like our people. Americans are not trekking in the desert to get to europe, Americans are not selling off their properties to leave Nigeria. Every Nigerian is highly terrorized, roads are not safe. It is on the news today that local airfare has gone up to 300k. This is not return ticket o but one way. I don't care about what is happening in Gaza, but what happens in my home. If America's focus on Nigeria will give some sanctity to human life to Nigerians then let it be. |
njokuuche77:That is in an ideal situation. A country not founded on Justice and equity cannot be one. Nigeria shouldn't have happened. Our founding fathers were more focus on chasing the whites away than what the country would thereafter. |
Berankis:What gives any organization progress and longevity is the adherence to laid down rules, policy and convention. Through this, tradition is esterblished. Party supremacy can never take root if the plays lack the discipline and integrity to play by the rules. PDP messed up when they allowed some individuals to play around with their rules and convention. |
Max24:Keep regurgitating lies ok, He responded to this lie from El rufai during one of the Northen forum before the 2023 election, El rufai threw this warped sentiment directly at him. And he responded him laying out facts and El rufai never came up with any other comments,, because he knows the truth but was just playing politics. I know some of you are one directional. I know you saw that response but have decided to stick to falsehood. Well done |
I don't know if there is something they give them when they join APC or there is something in that party the brings out the worst part human beings. This people are just shameless. This "Idiot" pretends he doesn't know how Boko Haram start. |
If my Bishop doesn't know what to say he should please shut up. When men of God fraternise with politicians for too long it tend to dilutes their opinion. This opinion can never be that of the Catholic bishops conference. Can he tell us why Deborah was killed in the same sokoto where he is a Bishop? Isn't that religious persecution? Your eminence, you are wrong on this, pls. |
We joke a lot in this country. No wonder we don't even know our population. I think OUK should bring out his data and let see where the numbers are coming from. Can he also tell the world how many were extrajudicially killed by security agent. This politicians spew out numbers according to how it benefits their parochial interest.. The man at the foreign office played down the number of killings in Nigeria, here OUK is increasing the number for IPOB. Chai, who do us this strong thing? |
Ofemannnu:Now you love Nigeria because of Tinubu but not because of Jonathan. There is nothing wrong in hope but be humble in accepting that the man is failing. All this talk about haters is bullsh*t. The ones who lost family members as a result of failed leadership are haters The ones permanently living in IDP camps are haters The ones who cannot afford food for their families right now are haters The ones who now trek a long distance just to keep a job are haters The traders whose capital has been devalued by Mr President economic voodoo are haters The ones who cannot easily afford medication as they used to are haters. Some of us who hitherto thought we were comfortable now know that a single government policy could set one on the road to bankruptcy. Many of those I know who prior 2023 election vigorously supported Tinubu have all ran of the country. Is that not deceit and hypocrisy. Advice Tinubu to stand up and lead, he is the president now. |
iLoveYouToo:Lack of intention or 'balls" to implement those radical changes will continue to hunts us. No APC government wants to touch that document because of Politics. Tinubu's ideas is cosmetic but he has all the opportunities to cause that shift in the way we do things. I hope he see it. |
iLoveYouToo:You won't have a good country, if we don't have a national consensus, etiquettes, and common values. If Nigeria only represents where you sleep and wake up then there is a problem. Reforms will mean nothing if the fundamentals are not taken care of. Lack of unity will never allow us a national consensus and collective purpose. Justice, equity and fairness is the bedrock of an egalitarian society. Do we truly have those qualities or seem to move towards those qualities? President Tinubu don't have that charisma to cause that shift. He plays too much politics. |
njokuuche77:You never know your country. We flatter to deceive. All this traction is because of their inability to provide a convincing answer to the US congress man's question on the numbers of conviction so far. Which the congress man took very serious. Should a foreign country make our government sit up in protection of life and property? I hear some mention sovereignty. The international world has it as an obligation to interfere where a government kills or allow it citizens to be killed senselessly. Why do we have ICC? |
Berankis:Does your government and those in government behave as people under law and order. These military guys, especially the younger officers are part of the society, they see the decay, they see the behaviour of our so called leaders, they see the inpunity and humongous corrupt practices. They signed to lay down their life for the country, WHICH POLITICIAN CAN LAY DOWN HIS/HER LIFE FOR A NIGERIAN OUTSIDE THIER NUCLEAR FAMILY? You know the answer. So handle them with some respect irrespective of your position. These politician by their ill mannered leadership created the social order we have today. The FG will close down schools, one, because the military is stretched, two because the government don't have the political will to solve the problem. We have the money, we have the resources, it is a willing thinking head that is left. The President during his campaign mentioned huge recruitment into the military, has he done it? We are facing existential problem right now, does it look like the presidency is doing anything different until Trump's "Gun-a-blazing" comment, then they started running around like headless Chicken. A government without foreign policy? We need to do better abeg. |
If I were Jonathan, I'll be weary of watery praises from snakes in human form. None of them today would have done what the gentleman did especially this one in power who could not acknowledge like president Yar'Adua did, that the election that brought him in had flaws and promise stronger reforms. The man don lock up. Tinubu is over rated. |
WizardOfNG:Having read alot from those who support this government due to one reason or the other, they all try to paint the picture of Trump invading Nigeria with troops, which I think is wrong narratives, and an attempt to gaslight those who speak against continued killings in Nigeria. The said diplomat who countered the Canadian woman also provided an unbelievable data which in advanced countries could earn him a sack. I see how that was down played by his supporters, meaning that he also lack a good knowledge of the killings. Watching the event in US yesterday, no US congress man or woman agreed of boot on ground but on designating the country a CPC country with the intention to target the terrorist and their enabler. It a shame that supporters of this government will rather prefer to cover up this killings and try to gaslight those who try to bring it to limelight. Their ignorance to the fact that this issue of extra judicial killing has seen US designate Nigeria a CPC country during Trumps first coming which Biden removed. I crimp when I see commentators deflecting the real issues because their families are not wiped out by this islamic militias like the lady testifier yesterday. Do you think the lady care about how helps comes, whether by CPC or boots on the ground. This attitude of pointing fingers and throwing up conspiracy about Trump's Intention is self defeating. This attitude of saying we will solve our problems ourselves is self indicting, how many have we solved in the past? Definitely none, for an issue that has lingered over 15 years. Instead of us to tell ourselves the truth that our government does not have the political will to eradicate this terrorism because of politics, we are busy helping them down play facts and figures. It is well. |
Finquas:Who assumes leadership, Shettima? That one go worst pass Buhari and Tinubu combined. |
Maxymilliano:This government never had any sincere plan or strategy on security but politics. The recent comment from Trump jolted the presidency, they started running around the world to deviate the accusations. Tinubu understands the power of America to cause regime change, Jonathan Knows. So, Tinubu will do or seen to do anything to avoid Trump. But, he never will hit the nail straight. Someone who went to Benue only to say rubbish and the king corrected him. |
He is very correct on this. Those set were different in leadership and life style. The ones there now claiming Awoist are pure political bandits. Grab and share to themselves and cronies. |
Segun Awolowo was truly a complete gentle man. Rest in peace. Make Yoruba and Igbo dey fight for social media. One thing I know for sure is Nigeria is 1000 ways of how not to be a country. Na Yoruba turn to lead today, e go reach everyone. |
OgaTheTop2:Watching the congressional hearing and the submissions of the participants, it's likely Nigeria will place on the CPC list. However, they are willing to partner with Nigeria, if the Nigeria government is sincerely willing to eradicate all forms of terrorism and banditry around the country. The key issue here is the government willingness. It's surprising that Tinubu cannot pick his phone and call president Trump and put the cards before him. Was is be because of gun ablaze comment? The truth is Buhari was never sincere in curbing terrorism due to his entho-region sentiments, what about Tinubu? What is stopping him showing great commitment to eradicating all forms of terrorism? Do we have to wait for American focus on the government for our government to protect the life and properties of our people? For sure, those in government are only afraid of the effect of designating Nigeria a CPC country on their personal and private life and properties. Knowing who we are we go still buggle this US arrangement. We no do am before? |
Did Awolowo also deserved death sentence? |
yarimo:The most important mistake Anyanwu did is signing the letter for the convention, that was why he claimed it was forged, when he was actually compel to sign the document in the presence of PDP big wigs. He better go and make peace with his shadow. |
tuborme:Every man has fate with God. Chief Obafemi Owolowo was charged for treason and imprisonment in Calabar. But the one who has power over the destiny of men created a way to free him. Let be still and watch how things play out. God is not done with MNK as he was never done with Chief Awolowo. |
[quote author=press9jatv post=137518965] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhfGeNethxc?si=LSOE5HRZYjHIp135 statistics added to what the US have. The fight against terrorism requires the discard of politics and elections politics. Accept help from the US. Agree to terms beneficial to both sides without surrendering our national sovereignty. |
'He identified multiple bottlenecks, including excessive toll points, a malfunctioning e-call-up system, favouritism and racketeering, abuse of authority by senior officials, and misleading narratives pushed through truck unions, as key contributors to the persistent logjam." Good point he made. But, Lagos port has always been congested. Any policy that enables Lagos to be the only functional port for goods going to all part of Nigeria should be discouraged. Lagos state is building additional ports for a reason, isn't it? What reason? Government should be deliberate in evenly spread development, let all part of Nigeria exploit their comparative advantages. |
Ikaeniyan0:It is a warning that something evil is coming closer home. It is only a person of little mind that ignores real warning just because it is giving by self perceived enemy. Intelligent people keep aside their differences when their is a common enemy. When you see those from the SE amplifying the killings in Benue, know it today that is for self preservation. If this guys over ran Benue, where do you think is next. Be wise. |
Wetin goat find enter inside where lions dey do meeting? Suya don land be that. There is always the red line. There comes a time when everyone one have to choose which side they belong to. Ortom, by his antecedents and affiliation to Wike prior and after the 2023 elections has no business being there. He didn't attend the convention, so what is he doing there, a mole? If PDP wants to restore democratic principles within and outside the party, it must purge itself of all persons with divergent principles and lack of character and integrity. You are either committed to the party or seek for a space else where. That is the way it should be with all the political parties. I am still expecting Anyanwu to proof his signature was forged. |
