deji17:There is a lot you don't know about the insecurity in the East . I know you will pretend not know that MNK has since called off the monday sit at home order but Simon Ekpa broke away from the goup when MNK was incarcerated and continued to encourage this bitter youths to create problems in the SE. Truth is an open sore. |
FreeStuffsNG:But Hope Uzodinma also said so. Have you wondered why these boys operate in certain area and not heard in other places. Was it also IPOB member that attacked Ugochinyere home? How come there are no killings in Abia the very home state of MNK? Why is there a concentration of these bad guys in Hope Uzodinma LGA? These are criminals used by politicians to further their selfish aspiration. No one can obscure truth. |
The biggest kidnapper/terrorist in this country is the government. We are just a fantastically lawless country. |
shortgun:Nigerian are not hungry. These are few unpatrotic bad eggs trying to bring disgrace to Nigeria. These are the election loosers, the Obedients. There is nothing they cannot do to tarnish the image of our beloved country. The mind of Agbadorians can be very funny. |
What disquiet? Tinubu is APC, APC is Tinubu. |
emydnobl:Rig election and change your address.............. Oti don talk am |
This guy talks like a kid. Who were the people in PDP? He has unwittingly exposed himself as an election rigger. Has he responded to the accusations level against him by his sister-inlaw? I reserve my comment. |
Miracles still happen. Her maker is more than able to heal her. Have an open mind. Take her to programs held by the likes of Zion ministry, Lord's chosen etc, while you also continue with therapists. |
malali:The questions I asked are still not answered. Discussion like this help view event from different angles and objectively find the missing links and project solutions. I see that you are fixated only on the aftermath and on MNK, peace of the grave yard. I yield the floor. |
In a country where anything goes. A country where one person produced election result for an election that INEC did hold and eventually won via the court from 4th position. That signature was extracted from Sam Daddy under pressure but he waited for them to use the letter. He signed that letter, now it is going to be his word against the other party. Sam Daddy is heading fo APC to contest governorship election in Imo state. Every thing he is doings is Wike's plan. Remember, it is his contestation of Imo state governorship election and his return to secretaryship where Udo Okoye has been used to replace him by the eastern caucus of the PDP. The party is chaotic. |
malali:You did not answer my question. Were they initially peaceful? What led to change of method, was it killing of innocent protesters, hunting down of their perceived members? In one pathetic case, the police went to an open ground where they were having their regular meeting, shot and killed many who had only flags in their hands. What was their offence? Was it that they killed people or that they demanded a country? Has government ever been held responsible for anything in this country? The Governors are self serving and they know that majority of the people in SE and especially the youth align with the demands of the group. The Governors had a meeting with him in August 2017 with a follow-up to come. Did the arrogant Governors ever disclose the groups demand and what transpired in the meeting. Simply because those Governors lack capacity to manage crises. Should the FG also follow the Governors sheepishly. The truth is that the Nigeria state hate dissenting voices. The only president, who had brains to solve a national problem was President Umaru Yar'Adua. He found a way to bring peace in the Niger Delta. On the statistics of 5% to 95%, who did the poll? Do you think the FG will sincerely allow for referendum especially when there have been serious push to not put referendum in the constitution. MNK abused everyone including his own tribesmen, which I think was overboard. The insecurity in the SE is multidimensional, all sort of criminals, state and non-state actors took advantage of the situation, especially with Simon Ekpa group. The calm there today is because, MNK IPOB washed their hands off from the continued sit at home order and the charging of Ekpa to court by Finland government. The Nigerian state should better take the issue of Equity, Fairness and Justice for all very serious otherwise we'll continue to have dissenting voices. |
Glimpsetv:Just watch how Reno "small goat" Omokri will accuse Peter Obi and Obidients movement for this crime. |
malali:You probably don't know South-east. You swallow everything said on social media hook, line and sinker. First, people don't sell their land just to please you or look good. There must be a need. Secondly, there are many hausa/yoruba who own properties and do businesses over there, especially the areas you have them as a community. If they are maligned how come they have flourishing leadership in the various states. |
malali:First you should know that Lagos/SW and SE is not the same. That we are lumped together as one country does not mean we have one common goal. Nigeria as a country does not have a goal. You did not condemn the FG that killed many peaceful protester in the early days of the movement. You did not condemn Buhari for his insensitivity in ordering the killing of innocent civilians in the SE for just believing in the movement. You did not condemn Buhari for sending soldiers to kill him in his home which they eventually killed many people in his house. Those lives don't matter right? When did the violent activities start, was it before or after the extra judicial killings of peaceful protesters? I have reservations in some of the later activities of the group but how do you excuse the FG for their high handedness. The state has power to exterminate right? Do know that human right organisations condemned and documented the various killing by the state against this people. Buhari designated them terrorist organisation but adamantly refused to do the same to those wielding AK47 in bushes, killing and raping women in their farms and displacing villages. So where is the justice in Nigeria? Finally, was ANC a terrorist organisation? Why were they designated a terrorist organisation by SA, UK, USA and others? Are they still terrorist organisation today? All hostilities ended on a negotiation table isn't it, why can't FG do the same for all the nationalities that make up the country. All lives matters. Let view things from all sides. |
CoronaVirusPro:There is honour among criminals. At least they respect each other for their ability grab state funds and run with it. |
phemray:It baffles me how people speak from both sides of their mouth. This is a man accused of investing heavy in brewery and also Anambra funds. He virtually brought that company to Onitsha. Is brewery not a production company? Can the "small goat" show one production company his principal owns. Na to do cho cho cho the king of mendacity sabi. Abeg make him park for one side. |
harunchina: |
iwaeda:Abeg who dey count number of Christians killed. Make everyone dey keep him own record. After all, na Uzodinma own results sheet he take become supreme court Governor. Since we don't want to be serious in this country, make all of us dey mad na. Every day killings, it is nauseating. |
rescuenaija:King of Mendacity |
rescuenaija:King of mendacity has spoken. |
tobenuel:It is difficult to wake up some one pretending to be a sleep. |
A country not founded on equity and justice will not last long. Who will give justice those security men murdered in cold blood when even the living can't get Justice? Everyone call for peace, what about justice? There can never be Peace without Justice. It is not enough to asked the offended to live in peace with his killers. Where is equity when some persons are held in captivity while others who commits greater heinous crime are engaged in dialogues and pacified with funds meant for law abiding citizens. In all you do, avoiding adding yourself to the statistics, nobody care a dam about anyone in this country especially your politicians. Na next election be their problem. |
Yankee101:Who and when will the government be held responsible for innocent lives taken violently by the security agencies operating in the SE. Let bring everyone to justice including government. Note I don't support killing of anyone by anybody or any group. |
phobia2002:It is better he shared it out to his friends and cronies abi. The land was given to university for a reason, right. So what is wrong with Wike helping the school achieve those dreams. Are there no other lands in Abuja where he can grab. A man whose children school abroad with mansions waiting for them there will definitely sell everything here in Nigeria that can benefit the common man. And for those hailing him, do you think this man will allow you marry his daughter? No. They will always marry in the circle of those who steal the country dry. I hope you get it. |
The writer is economical with the truth. It would have been very revealing if he had chronological outline the various events that occurred between IPOB and the Nigerian state. At what point did the movement become violent? Was it the initial plan to be violent? What led to the violence? The write need to provide a much more comprehensive write up. Speaking of dialogue, the writer forgot that a meeting was held between MNK and the 5 Eastern Governors before these governors told Buhari to proscribe IPOB, after which Buhari obliged them. Did the governors ever released what was discussed in that meeting? The Governors panicked because they know they Lacked capacity to meet MNK request and the easiest way out is to call on Buhari to proscribe the group. It is unfortunate that innocent people had to die in the face off between government and the group. It is double standard that Buhari and the Nigerian state could dialogue with internationally recognised terrorist but chose to use blackmail and brutal force on IPOB. Peace comes from sense Justice. Let the Governors do the needful and lasting peace will come to the region. |
It's certain that some of the tax policies may encourage cash transaction thereby impacting on cashless society. If I don't bank how will they track my income earned out outside formal transaction? For example, drug business often based on cash dealings. |
Heffalump:Forget it. The best result the Super Eagles can get in SA is a draw. We ain't good enough. The earlier we accept this the better for everyone. |
Hope Uzodinma has not done well. I am surprised that those who knows nothing about the state will be the one hailing he most. I would like those people to come down to Imo state, leave Owerri and move around the communities and see for themselves if they can see any benefit of Uzodinma's government. No electricity, no road, poor health care facilities and dilapidated schools. I implore them to visit Ngor-Okplala LGA and find out if there is any government project started and completed in the LGA in the past 6yrs. Imo state is all about Owerri, the state capital. |
An elite aligning with a fellow elite. Bourgeoisie aligning with fellow bourgeoisie. That how they roll. The poor and hungry ones here will still praise their masters. |
https://punchng.com/north-central-lp-chairmen-back-abure-condemn-obi-ottis-actions/ Is Obi a member of the NEC? Those asking Abure to step down is the NEC of the party which is a statutory organ of the party. Abure failed to conduct elections at the ward and state level as should be the case. The man is just a typical Nigerian politician who will never follow agreed guidelines but will seek to manipulate for selfish reasons. He rather started at the top instead of bottom. |
Abure is disciple of Tinubu's grab it, snatch it and run with it. He has ran into a brick wall. You have served not the party, while not hold an all inclusive congress according to the agreement as stipulated in the consent judgement agreed by all parties. A crook will always act as one. |
