The invasion of Iran, Iraq, Lybia, Affhganistan, has ruined those countries.

America is not pleased with Tinubu's Macho's posturing. Trump has BEEN gETTING capital NO from Tinubu
for all his requests.

Tinubu rejected the transfer of prisoners from America to Nigeria, he refused raw eploration of our minerals.
Elon wanted our Uranium, Tinubu said NO again. Guess what company is helping to mine our Uranium; companies from China.
Nigeria refused Amerrican military base in Nigeria, Nigeria is tilting towards Russia.

Nigeria is too important and too strategic to be left floating. I t must be checked.

It looks good on paper to fight Jihadist but after that the country will be left prostrate, empty and in complete turmoil.

Tinubu needs to send powerful delegation to America to explain things and asked for help in a mutually benefiting manners.

Nigeria should lead with America supporting with intelligence and weapon. A unilateral invasion of a sovereign Nigeria is a slap on everyone's face

The effect of US involvement in these countries is so evident but what about our own government and leadership, are they not creating the opportunity for the likes of US to capitalise on? Does it mean as a country we can't truthful solve our problems? If we don't treat national issues with sincerity and purpose, issue like extra judicial killings will continue, injustice will continue. Let our government be sincere with the people and we will all support the government and fight for our country.
A man fought and killed a transgressor in his farm in self defence he got a death sentence, that is a typical Nigerian story.

Just know that so long as there is a Nigeria with Ibos in it, there will never be an Ibo president. At this rate I’m not sure anyone wants to take a risk of even a VP.
It is the political class that hunger for Presidency, go out there and a take poll from the Easterners, especially those in the east to choose between Presidency in Nigeria and Biafra, come back and tell me the result.

Until then, I yield the floor.

Ibos should perish any thought of ever becoming president of Nigeria ever!

They have just sealed the fate of the Ibos politically.

Nigeria may break up but if Nigeria remains an Ibo will never be president.

They have just lost any votes they hadn’t already lost and this is not just Peter Obi.

The whole country knows this is the handiwork of the Ibos and they will reap the political rewards.

Go and read Arewa Twitter, there are all saying give them their Biafra! Are those the people who are going to vote for an Ibo president?

Trump cannot install Peter Obi. There is no magic they can do to get the votes.
So your friends in the north have agreed to a Biafran state rather than have a Peter Obi presidency. Those are the people that claim they love Nigeria. If I may ask you and your friends, are we a Secular country or Islamic country? Why run two legal system that are contrary to each other. When the states declared sharia legal system in the North, have they not surreptitiously created a county within a country? Why is it fine to kill someone on religious basis in the North but a crime in the south? At the end, the various tribe will decide where they want to belong, the choice to choose whether they want to belong in a union or not like the US.

It's funny how one with a log in his eyes is busy pointing to the peck in another. There are killings in the East but are not genocidal or tribal or religious inclined. Any mass murder there, is definitely done by the security agents and those sponsored by the state through individuals. If you know you know.
If you are truthful to yourself, you will acknowledge how happy the guys in the East were when Samuel Ekpa was arrested.

IPOB is an example of such groups killing Christians. The only difference is that the lives of those Christians they kill doesn't matter because the victims loved the killers. When Christians are killing Christians in the SE it's okay but it's wrong if moslems are killing Christians. I'm not sure you can win this argument since IPOB is there killing people in their region. The moslem community especially MURIC should tender detailed information about all these to some politicians in the US. Nigeria isn't the only country facing terrorism issues on earth
Do you understand the word "Genocide"? Do understand the word "mass burial"?
If your MUMURIC fail to magnify with verifiable facts of the killing of Moslem in the East, then don't blame the Christians for magnifying the persecution and killing of their members in the the north.
Let keep pandering with insecurity, we go see where it will lead to "your own' perceived country to. Do a little reading on Yugoslavia.

ALTERNATEID:
While we cannot in all honesty wish away the cruel and evil killing of minorities in the north central states of Kwara, Benue, Plateau, southern kaduna etc, i strongly believe that the recent interest of the Trump administration is based on economic agenda and nothing altruistic. In this regard, I don’t think Donald Trump was misinformed.

Trump recently placed a 15% tariff on Nigeria and the country responded by banning the importation of 25 certain items from the country. The Tinubu administration has also been working on increasing local refining of petroleum products. Recently, a 15% tax on PMS importation was introduced to further discourage importation of petroleum products. This has seriously affected European and American refineries which are owned by Trump and his big oil buddies. They are not happy that Nigeria is prioritizing energy independence at the detriment of American and European oil companies.

Again, Nigeria’s recent romance with BRICS is unsettling the Trump administration. The BRICS countries are planning to issue a new currency so as to sidestep the US dollars and Nigeria has signed up to be a part of the BRICS monetary union. Trump had vowed to make sure this does not happen. The Yuan - Naira currency swap between China and Nigeria that has recently helped to strengthen the Naira is also another source of concern to the US.

So, a combination of all these issues plus Nigeria’s stance against the GAZA genocide is why Donald Trump is targeting the Nigeria government. If they can’t control Nigeria, they will do everything possible to destroy the country.
How does this improve security of lives and properties in Nigeria. Nigeria have lived on lies, deceptive unity and outright mismanagement of our diversity. Bringing in sharia legal system in a secular country is contradictory and a time bomb in waiting. The US may have chosen to ignored the brazen killings in the north for their own reasons. What is our reason for not being truthful with the issues of mass killing in the north? To whose interest is it? Why can't any one be prosecuted on religious killing like the killing of Deborah? Why can't the government publish and reveal the identities of those financing terrorism in Nigeria given by a foreign country? US is free to select want they want to do, what is Nigeria doing or want to do?

A video circulating on social media has sparked outrage after hungry Nigerians mobbed a luxury bus carrying Mamelodi Sundowns football players and staff of South Africa. The footage shows the South African team tossing leftover food to the desperate crowd.

The drama unfolded at MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Ogun State as Mamelodi Sundowns exited the venue after a resounding 5–1 victory over Remo Stars of Abeokuta in the first leg of the CAF Champions League on Sunday.

Many social media users attributed the incident to the country’s widespread hunger crisis.

In a country where anything goes. A country where one person produced election result for an election that INEC did hold and eventually won via the court from 4th position. That signature was extracted from Sam Daddy under pressure but he waited for them to use the letter. He signed that letter, now it is going to be his word against the other party.
Sam Daddy is heading fo APC to contest governorship election in Imo state. Every thing he is doings is Wike's plan. Remember, it is his contestation of Imo state governorship election and his return to secretaryship where Udo Okoye has been used to replace him by the eastern caucus of the PDP. The party is chaotic.
PoliticsRe: Court Stops #FreeNnamdikanu Protest by 3Ceagle(m): 9:41am On Oct 19, 2025
malali:
Thank you for acknowledging that what Nnamdi Kanu did in the Southeast could never have been allowed to happen in Lagos. Every region has its share of dissatisfied people, even Lagos has individuals who question the structure of Nigeria. But the difference lies in leadership and response. If the governor of the Southeast had managed the escalating violence and destruction of property effectively, there would have been no need to involve the Federal Government.

President Buhari only intervened after the sitting governor, the Chief Security Officer of the state, requested federal assistance, recognizing that the situation was spiraling out of control. It’s important to note that insurgents, terrorists, and separatists exist across Nigeria, from the North to the Niger Delta, and each group employs different tactics to spread chaos. Therefore, comparing how the government handles each region is a futile exercise; security responses are context-driven, not uniform.

The ANC in South Africa represented 95% of the oppressed population rising against a 5% minority regime. That’s completely different from Nnamdi Kanu’s movement, which represented barely 5% of Southeasterners trying to oppose 95% of Nigerians. Even within the Southeast, not everyone supported him, many were coerced into compliance.

His so-called “stay-at-home” orders crippled the economy, forcing businesses to close under threat. That’s not democracy, that’s fear. The people never voted for it; their elected representatives in the Senate or House never endorsed it. It was rule by intimidation.

The Federal Government, in this case, acted responsibly. No single individual should be allowed to turn himself into a warlord, holding an entire region hostage and wrecking lives and livelihoods. If the goal was truly self-determination, there are constitutional and diplomatic channels to pursue a referendum. not violence.

In truth, Nnamdi Kanu is fortunate to still be alive. Many former leaders would not have handled his case with such restraint.
You did not answer my question. Were they initially peaceful? What led to change of method, was it killing of innocent protesters, hunting down of their perceived members? In one pathetic case, the police went to an open ground where they were having their regular meeting, shot and killed many who had only flags in their hands. What was their offence? Was it that they killed people or that they demanded a country? Has government ever been held responsible for anything in this country?

The Governors are self serving and they know that majority of the people in SE and especially the youth align with the demands of the group. The Governors had a meeting with him in August 2017 with a follow-up to come. Did the arrogant Governors ever disclose the groups demand and what transpired in the meeting. Simply because those Governors lack capacity to manage crises. Should the FG also follow the Governors sheepishly. The truth is that the Nigeria state hate dissenting voices. The only president, who had brains to solve a national problem was President Umaru Yar'Adua. He found a way to bring peace in the Niger Delta.

On the statistics of 5% to 95%, who did the poll? Do you think the FG will sincerely allow for referendum especially when there have been serious push to not put referendum in the constitution.

MNK abused everyone including his own tribesmen, which I think was overboard.

The insecurity in the SE is multidimensional, all sort of criminals, state and non-state actors took advantage of the situation, especially with Simon Ekpa group. The calm there today is because, MNK IPOB washed their hands off from the continued sit at home order and the charging of Ekpa to court by Finland government.

The Nigerian state should better take the issue of Equity, Fairness and Justice for all very serious otherwise we'll continue to have dissenting voices.

The peace you see in other states, even for foreigners, didn’t come for free. If someone like Nnamdi Kanu were active in Lagos, it wouldn’t be a safe or peaceful environment for Igbos or Hausas. It’s the federal government’s duty to ensure every state remains secure, and for the Southeast to be truly peaceful, Nnamdi Kanu must be restrained.
First you should know that Lagos/SW and SE is not the same. That we are lumped together as one country does not mean we have one common goal. Nigeria as a country does not have a goal. You did not condemn the FG that killed many peaceful protester in the early days of the movement. You did not condemn Buhari for his insensitivity in ordering the killing of innocent civilians in the SE for just believing in the movement. You did not condemn Buhari for sending soldiers to kill him in his home which they eventually killed many people in his house. Those lives don't matter right?

When did the violent activities start, was it before or after the extra judicial killings of peaceful protesters? I have reservations in some of the later activities of the group but how do you excuse the FG for their high handedness. The state has power to exterminate right? Do know that human right organisations condemned and documented the various killing by the state against this people. Buhari designated them terrorist organisation but adamantly refused to do the same to those wielding AK47 in bushes, killing and raping women in their farms and displacing villages. So where is the justice in Nigeria?
Finally, was ANC a terrorist organisation? Why were they designated a terrorist organisation by SA, UK, USA and others? Are they still terrorist organisation today?
All hostilities ended on a negotiation table isn't it, why can't FG do the same for all the nationalities that make up the country. All lives matters.

Let view things from all sides.
