Phones / Why You Should Upgrade To Ios 9.2 by 3CHUB: 11:24am On Dec 11, 2015
Listed below are some of the new features of the new iOS 9.2 that makes you just want to upgrade

Apple Music

iOS 9.2 brings a boatload of user interface tweaks to the slowly improving app. Best are the ‘Download’ button to save songs for offline listening (offline tracks are also better indicated), an upgraded classical music section (broken down into composers, performers and works) and a reordering of Playlists by recent changes.

iBooks

gains support 3D Touch in iOS 9.2. Books, Contents and Notes gain ‘Peek and Pop’ support while a dictionary search can be performed on any word you select with a pressure push. Audiobooks can also be heard while reading, though quite how practical this is remains to be seen.

Mail Drop

this finally comes to both the iPhone and iPad with iOS 9.2 and uses iCloud Drive within the Mail app to easily send files of up to 5GB.

USB Camera Adapter Support

this week Apple launched a USB adaptor which allows iPhones and iPads (though not the iPod touch) to transfer photos and video directly from a camera. iOS 9.2 adds the necessary compatibility for this accessory to work.

Safari

iOS 9.2 brings a tweak to the ‘Safari View Controller’ which allows it to support third party Action Extensions. In English this means when Safari is opened inside a third party app (eg TweetBot) then it still has access to other useful third party extensions (eg 1Password). The Safari View Controller also now supports a long press of the reload button to load content without ads blocked and a desktop page view. Meanwhile Edge Swipe will now dismiss a Safari window.

Phones / Re: Samsung Galaxy S7 Release Date by 3CHUB: 12:39pm On Nov 25, 2015
we expect it to launch next month
flexcity82:
nice one admin how soon can we expect it to launch
Phones / Samsung Galaxy S7 Release Date by 3CHUB: 10:24am On Nov 25, 2015
Samsung's flagship launch schedule may have shifted around a bit over the years and there are always a lot of rumours, more than most, implying the firm will try to bring things further and further forward from what we're used to. Despite all that, Samsung has been fairly consistent for the last couple of years in launching a new Galaxy S flagship model around the time of Mobile World Congress (either just before, or during the expo itself), which has typically taken place at the end of February, though last year kicked off in early March instead. Still, we're talking Q1 either way.

We've good reason to expect the same again in 2016. More so when you note that the rumours are indeed lining up to reinforce this idea. All the talk currently says a Galaxy S7 will arrive around the beginning of next year. That's when Samsung likes to show it can do better than Apple's September iPhone launch. At least that's the idea.
Phones / Samsung Galaxy S7 And S7 Edge To Use Micro SD by 3CHUB: 3:55pm On Nov 24, 2015
Samsung's Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge both gained a lot of positive attention when each launched earlier in the year and the only downside seemed to be the lack of microSD. But it seems Samsung may have taken notice of the backlash.

The latest rumour is that Samsung will be reintroducing microSD support for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge when they launch next year.

The Galaxy S5 came in both 16GB or 32GB versions with microSD support up to 128GB, while the Galaxy S6 comes in 32GB, 64GB or 128GB versions with no expandable options

If you go for the latest model you can get 128GB of storage, but it does come at a real cost.
The latest rumour comes from an Italian Samsung blog and it's not quite certain on the validity of the source – but it's still an interesting step if Samsung wanted to head back to microSD territory.

Adding in a microSD slot to the side of the phone would mean it can keep its beautiful uni-body design as well, rather than the annoying back on the Galaxy S5.

It may be a little more difficult for the Galaxy S7 Edge as it only has limited space on the top and bottom edges of the phone – but Samsung is sure to find a way around that problem

There's also mention of a potential quad-sided display for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. That'd mean the top and bottom edge would also feature curved glass as well.

That idea seems a little out there right now as it'd be difficult to grip the phone - but we're sure to find out in February when the phone launches.
Phones / The Road Warrior Available For Sale Next Month by 3CHUB: 5:47pm On Nov 23, 2015
One factor people don’t joke with when buying a phone is the battery life. While beauty of the phone, screen size and camera size are important, these features are useless if your phone dies easily.

Some will argue that you can always charge your phone when you get home. For those that are phone caters, are you going to stay away from music, video internet and game because you are travelling by road and you don’t want your device to die?

To this end Tecno decided to launch a phone that allows you use your phone heavily no matter the situation. The Tecno L5 also known as the road warrior is designed for longevity. It has a 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, 5MP camera and a whooping 5000mah battery.

The good news doesn’t stop there. It also comes with an OTG cable that makes it serve as powerbank to other devices.

Spectacular is when your phone doesn’t only die early, but it can also charge your other phones.

Phones / Marshmallow Update For Samsung by 3CHUB: 9:26am On Nov 19, 2015
Samsung may not have started pushing Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to its Galaxy devices, however, a leaked list claims it should start next month. It's worth noting that this is not the first time a list has surfaced online with the claim of detailing Samsung's Android 6.0 Marshmallow update roadmap. Back in October a similar list was leaked online.

According to a leaked Android 6.0 Marshmallow update roadmap list (via TimesNews) for Samsung Galaxy devices, the South Korean will start pushing the latest build next month with its Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ smartphones. The list adds that the company will release the Marshmallow update for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in January. The Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge are claimed to receive the update in February. Unfortunately, there is no time frame for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy S5.

Lets hope the samsung users can start having a feel of the marshmallow as early as next month.

Phones / What Next For Nokia by 3CHUB: 3:47pm On Nov 16, 2015
Those that follow technology and phones development know there have been so many operating systems that have existed but were not successful. If u ask some people they can only name iOS, Android, Java, windows and the blackberry OS. When manufacturers like Samsung, Huawei, HTC abandoned other Operating systems and the Java operating system for the Android OS, RIM continued with their blackberry OS, while nokia moved mainly to the Windows OS. Due to the Windows OS not been an open ware OS, apps developers mostly focused on the android which is opened and has more users and the iOS which though unopened has a lot of users also.
The result of this is the blackberry OS suffered and so did the windows OS which mostly affects Nokia specifically now that Microsoft owns both the windows OS and Nokia.

Blackberry, taking note of this, designed the BB 10 OS to be compatible with android apps. This improved their sales but not too significantly because most people are either going android or apple. Seeing this they designed the blackberry Priv which runs on android, and the presale order has been such a success, experts and blackberry themselves are predicting a huge sale for the device.

Nokia who used to be a formidable force in the telecommunication world weren’t as open as blackberry when it comes to change so they continue to do the same thing hoping to get a different result. Even the android phone they made was a low end device with specifications that would never make it sell. Having lost the market, decrease in its stock value, and after cutting over a thousand jobs, what next do they have to do? Should they still continue to make their lumia phones and expect it to sell miraculously? Or just learn from blackberry and make a high end Android phone and see the world react positively to it? It is left to the boys at Microsoft to make that decision, but I think it is best for them to go android as soon as possible.
