lol @ bla bla bla

Oga bla bla bla... it's a free world now- apply for your visa but know you may be banned for 5 years if you misrepresent or provide false documents .

You may also be deported if your intentions are not genuine- people are still making it in Nigeria so no need for desperation .

If you are confident that some employers may sponsor you on arrival with a tourist visa , why not let start applying to them in Nigeria and get your legal permit from here?

I have read through all 119 pages of this thread and I must confess it has been really educating. Kudos to ICASng for putting this thread together and I say well done to everyone that has contributed.

I have an offer for MBA from DBS and I plan on applying for my Visa ASAP (still putting together all required documents).

I would be asking questions if I'm not clear about any other thing.

What if I got job offer from the employer and the employer helped me to apply under labour bla bla and I got approved

That would be the right step in the right direction but the chances are second to zero if you ask me. All thanks to our country of origin, Nigeria. Also beware of scammers who pose as potential employers in Ireland seeking for young gullible minds to deceive. Truth is, try get a student visa and then when you are here you can take it up from there. My own opinion though.

I have a colleague who did Zoology for her undergraduate degree. The course at NUIG sounds like a better fit as that's where we did all the biodiversity/animal related studies. We carried out some ecological assessments on animals too but mostly small mammals. Feel free to holla if you need any more info after you're done going through the thread that is cheesy All the best.

Hi Mizchidi, pls kindly respond. Lets connect please.

Thank you.

For me I think the only major difference between the two options is language. I've come to realise that most European countries have about the same system and MO due to factors like the EU laws and directives.

In terms of stay back options, you get 24 months permit to look for work after your studies in both countries. From what I've seen so far, Ireland has the potential to employ IT guys who know what they're doing asap, don't know how it is in France.

from my experience here, I would add that when it comes to your IT jobs recruiters don't gF about your qualifications, but your years of verifiable experience, a word is enough for those who have ears

Less stress I would suggest NCI to think of part time job, you can still do it with Griffith but NCI is better. You can make it on any field must not just be IT based. Just be focused and have a plan you’d be fine. Cheers.

Hi everyone,
Please I’m new here and I have some questions.
I got offer letters from Griffith and NCI for MSc in Accounting and Finance.I’ve been reading posts on this thread and I’m a bit discouraged to go with Griffith which was the school I initially intended to pay to. Please I really need advice cos I would like to get a part time job while schooling to assist with my basic needs.
Secondly, does it mean there’s only hope for IT guys cos most people keep stating that it might be very difficult getting a job in accounting or other fields asides IT.
My sponsor is in the US, I would like to know the documents he is to provide.
Thank you guys, I’ll be waiting for your replies

Can the English language proficiency be waived at the embassy for study Visa in Ireland? Griffith college didn't require it during application. Please I'm confused.
I need response

For the Embassy of Ireland, nothing replaces an English Test and it is COMPULSORY for every Nigerian seeking a study visa.
Don't be scared of the exam;

1. It is not as hard as you all think it is.
2. Irish embassy requires an overall band score of 5.0

There are jobs in financial services.... some of them require IT proficiency. Coding is not hard to learn you can do that online. Courses that deal with analytics to be specific... you'll still get trained on the job but they want to see it on your cv; it tells them you're interested and trainable... also there is actual skill gap in accounting... make sure you get "is it ACCA "
I think you'll be fine

Hi guys, regarding the amount of photocopies u need.
After filling ur online application and ready to submit ur documents (both yours and your sponsors) , make a photocopy of each.

2 sets of photocopies used to be required but it has been changed caz its always too bulky for them. So u make photocopies ( 1 set) of ALL your documents including statements of accounts (sponsor statements too). Yes u heard right. statements of account AND photocopies of all pages of your passport. If u have 2 passports, photocopies of each must be done.

Ireland is actually one of the very few country-applications dat require all these bulky documents. I was there earlier this week and this is the update

According to what I heard The reasons for these photocopies is caz all originals will be sent to the embassy in abuja and the photocopies will be sent to ireland for accessment. I guess thats where the vo decides ur fate.

Total amount is 46,930.

It’s advisable u make all these photocopies before u go to there caz they photocopy 30naira/ page there.

I didn’t know all these before going there thats why i spent 5k on photocopies ( no exaggerations)

NB: for dbs visa applicants, accommodation booking or flight booking is not a mandatory requirement.

Also wen going to vfs to submit all dese documents, try going early so u can do ur biometrics too at once. Got there by 11am and finished everything by 5.30.

I hope this helps. All the best

What's their address here in Lagos? And do one book for appointment?

Good day. Please i have a little challenge, I'm using my mother as a sponsor but I'm not working, we've sourced for the funds for the fees for living expenses + tuition but my mom's account doesn't have constant inflow and outflow. I was told that if the transfer of the funds is made to her account then it would be considered as lodgement and hence an automatic refusal of the visa. I really need your help/advice in the matter, if anyone has an idea of what I could do please help me out. I'm running out of time and I need to apply for the visa soon
PS I got an offer for MSc Cybersecurity in NCI

Hi. You guys are doing a terrific job on here. I'm Ibrahim and new on this forum. I'll be applying to U of Limerick for my LLM this year and need to get some facts right. Can I actually pay 6000 euros first as my programme is 12k and actually get the visa? an agent seems to think I must pay all else I'd be denied or my visa grant dragged till I pay. Has anyone actually gotten a visa with 6k payment as on the Irish immigration website ? Thanks

Hello,

Are you in Limerick now? I'm interested in doing an llm too. What's the post study market like for foreign lawyers?

The Irish highly skilled occupation list specifically states / clarifies on occupations they will give priority to for long term work permit.

Kindly read previous posts and carry out a personal research.

I am a graduate in political science but have interest to study computer.
I saw this course Computing Masters Qualifier in TUD Ireland. Below is the course introduction:
The MSc in Computing Masters Qualifier will offer graduates in non computing disciplines the opportunity to acquire the core knowledge of computing concepts necessary to be eligible for entry to the MSc in Computing programme in the School of Computing. The philosophy behind the qualifier is that graduates from other disciplines will have developed significant transferable skills in analysis, communications and independent learning and so will be in a position to learn a focused subset of computing knowledge quickly.

Key Course Info
