DieBuhari: Has Islam just got to the South West? Are most school principals Muslims? Is there any report of Muslims stopping christian students from studying? Are statements of religious bigotry (such as yours) in the SW not associated with rise in visibility of Christianity in the SW? |

DieBuhari: Olalan: waltec: osiamerica: Lilimax:Religious bigotry on parade Analysts that have not been to the state are telling us the reasons @Lilimax. How does Hijab stop schooling Why should it be debated? What is the problem with a Muslim girl wearing Hijab on her head? I went a PUBLIC school in the same SW and had to learn Christian hymn songs, buying SOP book, learnt CRK, how to eat with the left hand etc as a Muslim student It was not debated; it was just enforced That is not Christian fundamentalism But a Muslim student wants to wear Hijab on her own head, then it is fundamentalism and has to be debated Nobody who believes in fairness and equity will be attracted to Christianity Lest I remember, it was Gowon (a Christian Head of State) who scrapped Saturday work so that 7th Day Adventists don't have to go to work on Saturdays To make up for the lost hours, Gowon added more hours to official hours on Mondays - Fridays It was done by a Christian, so it is not bigotry Now we see CAN shouting Islamisation because of optional issues like banking, raising money etc in a country where we have very many solid banks and a variety of investment outlets https://www.nairaland.com/4109504/students-now-drug-invigilators-dangerous |

The problem may not be the principals, after all principals don't teach except in rare cases. |

Unpaid teachers, school mergers, automatic promotion, single uniform, religous extremism, few trained teachers etc. Why won't they fail? That was a good school a while ago. He should hand over some of the schools back to the owners like it was done in Lagos. There'll be competition and improvement within a few years. |
