according to hebrews 1:14, angels are ministering spirit sent forth to minister for them who shall become heirs of salvation. Angels are sent to MINISTER FOR, in other words angels wait upon heirs of salvation for instruction or assigment to carry out. A born again christian is higher than the angels. If you read psalm 8 vs 4-6 and hebrews 2 vs 6-7 you can see how the psalmist wonderd sayin 'what is man that thou has made him a little lower than the angels. how can the psalmist be wowed that man was lower than the angels, that would have been normal, but the word translated angels in that verse really means 'elohim'.
