What if i am a freelancer and i don't rely on monthly salary? which group would someone like that fall into?

Comfortable salary with reference to cost of living should be comfortable @ the 20-40K mark (Sagamite has already addressed this on another thread).
I would imagine a high chunk of the working population will fall into that salary range.

Its possible to live on 20,000 naira, it will be tough but if you have the basics, you can get by.
