I don't think I would ever do a public show of engagement. To me is a misplaced priority, though my personal opinion.

I believe we exert to much energy to the pre wedding than post wedding which is actually the main marriage proper.

so many of these marriages that have pre-fanfare usually end up being examples of how couples can be bitter in marriages. Sometimes I believe if we can take our marriages a bit out of social media, we can have saner marriages.
