Augustine Again: Nigeria does not have that wish list on its weapon inventory, chief. Only 4 old hinds gunships are currently rocking their sky. Whatever appears on sipri does not mean a country made an actual purchase, I hope you teach that to your misinformed beegeagle. |

chris365: Your arguments have become shorter. Gone is the bravado. Something about facts complicating your life somewhat? Now - focus. I'll happily ignore all the idïotic fluff. Put your your cap on, assuming that's even remotely possible. Now, thread laggard, go back on this thread and happily read why Naai-gerians have been arguing that they are a great military. Foreign policy! "Oh, we were in Liberia!" "Oh, we were in Somalia" "Oh this and that in Africa" Foreign policy. The argument is certainly not equipment, now is it? We all know your equipment is "dark ages" stuff. So, spare us the circus on this particular issue. Now, focus, my little primate. What happened to your military foreign policy? Oh, that? It fell apart in Mali and Darfur and will in that state of failure for the next 10 years, at least. You are stuck with Boko haram because you lack the brains to solve that issue. You also have no military wherewithal to solve that issue. You are failing. Failing at home and failing abroad. Your military couldn't even invade Benin today. Not if you tried! And there's a reason why nations are called barbarians. Senseless wars. What will your Boko haram wars bring you? Nothing but backwardness. South Africa's being in the DRC has brought us the Inga deal. Tanzania will be getting a deal of their own soon. Foreign policy and war go hand in hand, unless you are from Naai-geria, I guess . Now, tell us - why should we not rank you below Lesotho? No fluff now... Give it your best shot, IQ slightly less than average being acceptable in your case. |

Sipri mainly highlights orders made irrespective of whether they were successful or not. An order does not mean is a successful transaction. You are making a fool of yourself, you will wait and wait and wait. |

agaugust:Ever heard about Recces? South African special forces?. Submarines won't be "docked" at your ports to sink your NNS Arandu, just like that Russian ship in Angola. SANDF special forces(explosive experts) will exist the submarine(covert insertion) from a safe distance the last thing your admirals will be hearing in Abuja is that Aradu has sunk after a loud explosion. |

agaugust:Your ATR-42 is a maritime surveillance aircraft. Nigeria can't a afford to lose surveillance in the sea, where South Africa is powerful with stealth Frigates and submarine. South Africa has air superiority over Nigeria cause SAAF can deploy 12 fighter jets while some are still available for training and integrating new weapon systems. SAAF has an EW capability and Nigeria doesn't. How many F7 will be deployed at sea? How many F7 will deployed at the field to intercept ground bombings by the SAAF Hawk lead in fighter?. How many F7 will deployed to carry out air strikes on SA positions?. How many F7 will be deployed to carry out Recce missions?.. |

agaugust:Who's protected between a crew operating the G6 and crew operating the Bofors? Never forgetting the G5. Your other artillery have the range of 29 km or lesser. Which guns can be easily spotted? You guess it right the Bofors!!! Nigeria can't fight South Africa in the opened African savannah. South Africa development nuclear weapons before Nigerians' evolved to have a brain. WE ALREADY HAVE A NUCLEAR POWER STATION!!!! |

agaugust:The SANDF has a lot of 155mm munitions. Except the chemical and insertion shells. The SANDF uses the vulture drone to direct and correct artillery fire, any target on the vulture's cameras will be destroyed. Nigeria lacks that capability. |

On many occasions the British and USA navies failed to detected the Swedish diesel submarines with their best equipment. You're dealing with Mike..ZA here!!!! |

agaugust:It is in our blood. In our rich military history. Our ancestors like warrior king Shaka Zulu, went to combat with lesser men that the enemy but came back to his kraal with more troops. In bush war,in CAR now the DRC as the descendants of this great warriors,we always go to war with lesser men but always manage to inflict heavy numbers on the enemy. We can't speak the same with Nigeria, how many casualties in last 25 years? You can't even tell, even your troops are treated abroad. SHAME ON YOU FAKE GIANT that can't take care of her children, when they're injured fighting for her interests. |
