Bullhari007: Watch and see they will probably seek the kind of ojoro one-leg-in-one-leg-out membership that will deny entry to Ecowas Citizens. They will want us "monkeys" to still require a visa. The sort of ojoro membership that the UK had with the EU in terms of not joining the Euro. 2 Likes |

DeepSight:MORROCO cannot displace NIGERIA in any way unless we let them to. Morroco is the key to accessing the mediterranen sea due to its location. The distance between the morrocan border and spain's is barely about 20km. Infact MORROCO HAS NO ENEMY COUNTRY IN THIS WORLD(besides Israel) everybody wants to be in their good books. They are already key leaders in north africa besides EGYPT, even if they leave north africa, nothing will change their status. They just want to expand their market, and able to stake a claim on their lost territory, SARAWI REPULIC! 1 Like |

keacy:morroco is the most heterogenous country in north africa, meaning besides islam, there are christains, jews, spaniards, portugese and other minorites who are accepted equally in the country. Or have you ever heard any news on terrorist bombing xtains or any kind of violence from Morroco ever before? So am sure there is no islamic agenda whatsoever, even their queen is of christain descent. 3 Likes |

Turn it down immediately. It is a no-brainer Nigeria is not developed enough to start competing with morocco. We may have the bigger economy but they have the better system. |

Ncsamuel:Why d you want to access the mediterrean sea? It is not like Nigeria has no means of getting to spain easily. You want to create an upsurge of Nigerian illegal immigration into Europe. . |

Nigeria should not try anything funny against the decision of Morocco joining ECOWAS because, the inclusion of the Moroccans will be an added value for the ECOWAS Community. Moreover, it will enhance our Economic power and bring more recognition to the region from other global community. Further more, what does Nigeria House of Representative has to do with ECOWAS matter??. What is the function of ECOWAS parliament and the Nigeria representative there. After all na Morocco I wan go stay now. 2 Likes |

DeepSight:What are the benefits of being the Uncle Sam as financier of ECOWAS? While we know with great responsibility we shall wield great power, but we aren't benefiting anything from this useless ECOWAS, instead neighboring countries are using our large market to money off us. We shall really rethink this ECOWAS stuff. If we are to continue funding it and providing market for them (mostly imported and repackaged products) the least we shall benefit is for ECoWAs to adopt Naira as it's official currency. 1 Like |

EazyMoh: There are many benefits. Ecowas is Nigeria's main foreign sandbox in which she plays with both money and power. You would be aware of the huge benefits to Nigeria is you visit other Ecowas capitals. Nigerian Banks and corporations have flooded all their markets and its a huge plus for us. It would be foolhardy to allow a competitor like Morocco into our personal sphere of influence. 1 Like |

And the arab connection too is just bad. The arab world is not what we should be messing with right now. Even the US is gradually shifting away from them. |

cstr1000:ECOWAS has never grown since inception because all other french speaking countries dont really trust NIGERIA countries like BENIN,TOGO GUINEA have populatios of less than 6million each. They fear NIGERIA monopolizing the union. On ther other hand, morroco is also french speaking and almost as rich as Nigeria unlike other ECOWAS countries. 1 Like |
