The most important aspect of any business is human resources- if this is true, what are you all still doing there- leave the company for them, as in you don't have to picket it - leave en-mass - it's simple. Thou we know we Nigerian's are not cut out to work hard- and we want the best of everything but, if this is the true picture painted everyone should leave 1 Like |

Oxster: Most of these Chinese are job creators, they are not employees of the Nigerian government. Being a graduate does not equip one with business skills. |

The Chinese are the owners of the company... people should simply shun the company. But, some people would still go there, get maltreated and complain. Oxster: |

One word for the cause of this is “corruption”! We share the collective guilt of tolerating it and maximum advantage is taken by other nations to do us in. The Chinese, Indians et al do these things without a care in the world because they have the authorities you will have to complain to on their payroll. The regulatory agencies will look the other way until their hands are forced via costly and time guzzling litigation. Not many Nigerian citizens can afford that. 1 Like |

our govt just dey so weak that they can't even regulate the affairs of these Chinese companies in our own country that's why take us 4 granted an do whatever they like. basically these govt officials go behind to collect bribe from them and then they do as they like cos they know sey govt got their backs no matter what they do. it's a shame how our people's weakness has brought us to this very low level in our own country |

Oxster: The problem is that Nigerians behave like cowards when dealing with foreigners. Nigerian boss stab employee. Employee reports to police, gets interviewed in the media and the boss is under fire for a very long time. If it is a foreign boss, typically, no report will be lodged unless the victim is strongly persuaded to do so. But the victim and sympathizers will start asking for rights from the government, after much noise, the case dies and the foreigner goes scot-free. Then I ask what kind of rights are they asking for? Right to not be stabbed? or Right to not be molested? If we start treating crime the same way irrespective of the perpetrator, these problems will gradually disappear. 1 Like |

This is what you call a sweatshop - long hours, poor pay and poor work benefits. There are loads of them in China and India. In India, you have underaged kids working in factories. It is a common sight children working in brick making factories in India. Foreign investors import the labour practices in their home countries. That is why American or German companies are a joy to work in and Chinese and Indian ones the opposite. 3 Likes 1 Share |

i use to think we Nigerians are smart and wise. is it by force to work? dont you have labour laws or these people are too ignorant to sue this company. Nigerians are very ignorant of the basic things of life. who did this to us? crying on social media will not help...too much Ignorance and stupidity |

Just look at this inhumanity. And some people think china in Africa is the re-incarnation of Mother Theresa. These guys have no regards for democracy, human rights or conscience. Everybody wants to work in chevron, Texaco, PG , e.t.c. The irony is that these are western companies that many of you ignorant toads hate. |
