@, please change the title of the thread to something like

Igboland and yorubaland development, the journey so far

Or Difference between igboland and yorubaland in development.. grin

The sky view of Oshogbo, Abeokuta, Ado ekiti and Ibadan was an embarrassing technical knockout for them..After postiing them, they all ran from the thread. They could not hold the shame afterwards..

@titot the number one Igbo hater from oshogbo could not comment, all he did was just to quote people with a smile sign on the 2nd & 3rd page, like he was on Oshogbo weed. The skyline pictures exposed the backwardness they know but hate to share and talk about....

They know igboland is far more sophisticated than theirs but will deny it..that is why that of Lagos is paining them
Very soon, I will open a thread called "Igboland in Lagos...

Aba'smain challenge is bad road, recreational parks and beautification..but on individual building and standard of living of its people, they beat any afonja city hands down

Yes, Aba too, is an ancient city but has remodernised over time and not left to decay like Ibadan and the rest of afonja towns and cities

Tell that to your brothers who say the east is not developed, that we develop Lagos and neglect our land and also that our land is barren...now we can see which land is actually barren without the help of igbos

Maybe you are new to nairaland

But all the igbos states (imo, abia, anambra, enugu and ebonyi) have their thread with lot less than 400pages...am sure you can't beat that.

Anambra was heading to page 1000 before they boycotted nairaland because of seun's bias policies...

Anambra has thread on all its major cities with pictures...

The only notable one from the west is Ibadan, still struggling for 50pages...hahaha

As for the other thread about Yoruba being the poorest and laziest, you can choke on it, we dash you the same way we help you pushed it to page 120 before we opened ours own similar thread...

Igbos make nairaland thick, you can take that to the bank.

lol...ojuku...How dare you compare a piggy bank
(Igboland) with central bank(Yorubaland).The
size of your small enclave (Igboland)is almost the
size of OYO state, just a part in Yorubaland and
45 million of Igbos have not been able to develop
this small enclave into eldorado. In spite of your
rituals, drugs peddling, baby factory etc and with
your late civilization, you still have brown roofs in
your small enclave. The singular evidence that
Yorubas are richer than the Igbos, are their
numerous massive industries, highest number of
private universities,private colleges,real estate
people,ICT people etc.Do not be delusional and
compare a small enclave filled with 3000
houses with a large area where1000000000 houses
are scattered all over.Do not be like Ojuku..
Igboland is a small room but still has brown roofs
and slums ..pathetic,is the word.

Even though I don't like showing malls, but let this one join for the records..

Its also worthy of note that by the time abakaliki mall is completed next year, all Igbo state capitals would have had at least a standard mall, with several maga supermarkets, plazas and cinemas.

Owerri already has three, Enugu four, Anambra by end of 2018 will be counting five or six...all these are excluding Mega plazas or Supermarkets

Asides shop rite, all are indigenously owned..

I remember when Igbo traders where being laughed at that ShopRite will shut them down once they take over Nigeria. But today so many indigenous IGBO owned supermarkets and malls are rising in all directions.

I love Igbos because they are never scared of competition. They welcome and embrace it.

I’m still not impressed with our development so far and I don’t expect any of our brethren to be until we’re competing with the likes of Singapore. Our leaders need to be scrutinised more heavily.

Apart from Lagos, there is NO yoruba city in the SW that can compare with SE cities. If you doubt me, use google earth and see the truth for yourself.

They like to mock Aba for two streets that are always flooded and they keep posting the same pictures. Yet Aba that they mock is still 100 times more modern and habitable than Ibadan. Mind you, Ibadan has been a regional capital like Enugu and kaduna and should be competing with those cities. Yet, Ibadan isn't better than Aba which has never been a capital city for one day.

Aba roads have greatly improved recently and the water logged streets now have adequate drainage gutters to channel water away. In spite of those challenges, you still cannot compare Aba and Ibadan.

lol..Ojukus and delusions.Your 400 pages of village square meetings and counter offensive where you downgrade one another. You should cover your face with shame for measuring your one room apartment(Igboland) with a big mansion(Yorubaland) with a lot of space.Yoruba's are richer than Igbos because they control the economy of Nigeria, they built more buildings both new and old than Igbos, they have more landed properties than Igbos, they have more private universities than Igbos, they have more massive businesses and companies home and abroad .ore than Igbos, the list is endless and they have more calibre and timbre people more than Igbos and the funny thing is just one state in the SW is equal to all the states of the Igbos which are not bigger than OYO STATE in the SW ..lol

i agree completely. I don't see why SE should be comparing with Ogbomosho and then chest beating that it achieved. it makes the Governors soooooooooo lazy when the bar is so low. Malaysia and Singapore looked very much like SE towns in the 1960s. Today, they are completely first world cities and we are still comparing with stone age cities in Nigeria instead of looking at what other decent human beings had done elsewhere.

I agree with everything you said. Good governance is lacking in the south east. Thank God for hardworking private individuals that invested heavily in real estate in the east. It's time to build our home land. That's all we truely have is this fake one Nigeria.
