Hi Bro, aside from the headphones ish, is there other reason you wouldn't recommend IDP?

Hello house! First of all, I'm thrilled to have aced my IELTS at the first attempt. I hope my fellow February 10 candidates got the required scores as well? Anyway, I have this information for those who are using WES to assess their credentials from Babcock University. I'm sure someone will find this useful. So, after WES sent my transcript for verification, I kept waiting and eventually had to go Babcock to track its progress. Babcock uses a body known as ETX for the verification process. At the registry, the lady there checked for the verification mail for my transcript and sent it to ETX, then put me in contact with the ETX people. I was then required to send my email address and got an invoice to pay 2000 into their GTB account. I got an email 2 days later that the verification had been completed. I had to wait for about 5 working days for it to reflect on WES. Ready to dive into the pool!!! grin
Hi. Congratulations on getting your ielts aced at the first attempt.I want to emulate you. Please can you tell me the materials you used and how you prepared for the exam.Thanks.

The truth is bitter, but most Nigerians write very poorly. Using the wrong spellings and words. Example of the common mistakes people make in their writing are:

Choose vs. chose - folks don't know which one is present or past.

I'm vs. Am - Nigerians love to write Am instead of I'm. That na epic fail

Advise vs. Advice - one is a verb the other na noun.

Asses vs. Access - well this one depends on your dialect and H factor-ness grin

The list goes on. Truth is, once you miss the correct spellings and use of words at primary school level, good luck tryna gain it back in life. Also for those of una wey dey plan go back to school when you reach Canada, just know that North American education is highly dependent on writing papers. Them no be like Naija and Britain wey dey give exam every time. You can be asked to submit a paper every week in Canada, and if you dey write all these yeye words, na serious F you go dey get. There's no sorting lecturer or sleeping with professor either grin

1.The listening is major, it’s hard to get 8 with IDP but easier with BC, but it’s easy to get 8 or even 9 with reading in IDP

2. Their EOR IS 46k which is notbtalistic in any way to much risk for no upgrade

3. They commit fraud on their EOR. Mine wasn’t sent I was issue a letter that my result was unchanged but when I contacted Australia they said they never received it.

Don’t be deceived by their quick response to mail and the water they give you in exam hall it’s just 2 cartons of water BC has thousands of candidates but they are managing just fine

Hi, I'm interested in how the no. 3 played out eventually. It amazes me how my country people will always show what stuffs they are made of at the slightest noticeable opportunity. Please I need more details how it ended up.

To blow whistle for this kind thing dey hungry me ehh... Seriously, we need to get rid of corruption at all levels and in all manners.

LOL. This simply shows that no one is perfect, we can only strive to be perfect. We should always correct one another in love and not with sarcasm or disdain.

I will suggest that you go into the pool with this result if done with Qualification Assessment (WES/IQAS) and rewrite IELTS.

Hello House,

Feb 10, 2018

L - 7.5
R - 7.5
W - 7.5
S - 7.5

CRS - 435 instead of 480 with 8.0 in listening cry

Does anyone suggest I take the IELTS again or chill to see what the draws in March would be like?

Thanks

I couldn't agree more. While at it, check all sections when requesting for the AOR.....maybe we can get the money back even if you do not get the 7 in writing.

I like this.

Thank you so much for your explanation. Helps a lot. No, I have not finished filling the forms. Taking it slowly. Thanks again.
GlitteringStar:

1. No. Submit the bank statement for the first account only. In fact, you don't need to submit bank statement if the letter is in CIC's format. People do add it to bolster their application when they are unable to collect the letter in CIC's format.

2. Birth certificate is required for dependent children and those people who claimed points for siblings only.

3. Have you finished filling out your forms? If not, just continue, the space will show up once you finish ( i.e before you submit your application).

hello everyone. been a silent reader. just got ITA and i am trying to fill the form. this forum has been so helpful. God bless you all. I need a few clarifications.

1. Please whats the difference between "ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?: (required)" and
"been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country? (required)"
2. i have been refused UK visitor visa previously. which do i pick or do i pick both?
3. if in had a previous EE profile that was declined, do i answer yes to this "applied to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada before?"

i know its english, but a clarification would help grin. thanks

Hi Bro, congrats on the successful outcome of your remark. Please I need some clarification regarding writing IELTS at MOD IDP.

Like how many people were in your center?
Was their speaker(s) audible enough?
Is their way of conduct of exam same as BC's or different?
Any other useful info?

Thank you

.

around 80 of us were in the hall, speaker was very audible, though I learnt that they just acquired head phones for use in the listening test,it's basically same way with BC..

How was the experience using speakers?. I am planning to use MOD IDP as the next available date for BC is too far.

Nothing is wrong with using speakers, it all depends on your concentration level, i wrote with MOD/ IDP and i had a good result. Wish you all the best

Contact WES to log your complain and follow up from there. My second suggestion, you can use your birth certificate, international passport data page and LOE to proof your real birthday if needs raise in future. I have read few people messages giving their experiences on this. Please carry us along with the outcome for orders learn. Best of luck

State your visa refusals if you have any. If you have been chased out or deported from any country; state it.
Only state your visa refusal ==> your UK visa refusal, date and reason for refusal. No 3 does not apply unless you have applied for visit or study visa to Canada before.

Hi Everyone
Got my IELTS Results today and I had an average band of 8 which I think is fairly okay
L-8.5, R-8.5, W-7.0, S- 7.5
I am a Chartered accountant who also has AAT. I have AAT and ACA but I am yet to do my induction for both due to my oversight and disregard this past years and the next Induction is till May
So straight to my question which I beg to be answered asap because I am yet to start off my application process
1. Is AAT recognised by WES?
2. Will WES recognise (accredit) my ICAN/ATS even without Induction?
3. When is the best time to start off my application and what do I use as my academic qualification (bachelors degree/ one or more degrees)
Please I need help urgently.
N.B: With one or more degrees, I have 471 but with just Bachelors degree I have 434 so I dont want my ICAN to waste
Will appreciate if I can be called on 09087247953. I promise to refund the callers credit as I am barely online to follow through this thread.
Please help me urgently!!!!!!!!!! God bless you

I learned from this thread that WES doesn't assess ICAN as they consider it a professional certificate.

Someone confirmed few pages back that WES assessed his AAT.

Just search this thread, you will also find page 0 very helpful.

The best time to jump into the pool is when you have your ECA and IELTS result.

If you read the last three or four pages. You'll see someone talked about AAT and WES etc.

Also use the search thread.
I have no idea about it I would have helped.

Best of luck.

BTW congrats on your solid IELTS result.

Hlo all, I hope this is the right place to ask this........
I am a medical doctor seeking to ultimately move to Canada but that would be after moving to the UK and getting some work experience there.
I want to know about the chances of getting a job as a doctor (on entry) in Canada , ofcus after completing the entry exams. Would also like to know the chances of specialisation as a foreign doctor as I have been told severally that these two are pretty difficult. Thanks.
If there is an active forum for doctors, pls I would love to be added.

Hello guys...issue on POF, I intend to use the sale of a landed property purchased about 5 years back, the only papers I got was the deed of assignment and family receipt, are these 2 documents enough to evidence a legitimate purchase ?, and I intend to use the proceed from sale of same property (now with a structure on it) as source of funds...I hope I won't have any issues with this, the funds will be used for treasury bills

blackbuddy , 40manlappy, and GlitteringStar ,canadianfly

These 2 documents you mentioned, a copy of the receipt/sale agreement you issued to the new buyer and your bank statement showing deposit of the proceeds of the property sale are adequate. All the best ahead.

Sorry, when you said we should call you nau and some people are too busy to call or probably don't want to use their phones to call someone they don't know. E ma binu.

Me I thought you might not have time to come back here to read responses so I waka pass.

Let me make an attempt....If age is on your side I think you should wait and do your induction in May. I don't know much about ICAN ATS and AAT so I may not be making sense.

Are you saying you have a Bsc in addition to being an ICAN member who went through the foundation stages? If yes, I suggest you wait till induction in May or pop into ICAN office at Ebutte Meta to ask if you can get a statement of result for your ATS and if they can send transcripts pending when you do the induction....you may just walk in to pay for all the induction things and ask what they can do......

I have some business with them this coming week, let me know if you are not in Lagos, maybe I can help make enquiries.

I am talking about ATS because people do not get a positive evaluation for complete ICAN memebership itself.
