There are so many things done now that are not in the bible and there are a lot of things in the Bible that we don't practice nowadays.

When you refer to wedding in the Bible, you are referring to their traditional practice then and not sure necessarily something spiritual. What makes it spiritual is that it's a licence to start living as couples which God recognize. What God is more concerned about is that there is no fornication or adultery. Every other part is irrelevant before God.
