Poor photography.

I hate the filter. The photographer should have used a Carl Weiss laser lensed camera with at least a 52 megapixel resolution mounted on a drone.

As long as you work hard, save, invest, research and continue to grow yourself and your society.
Yes!
Otherwise you will be second class forever outside your area where you are doing local champion.

Blacks ARE still in crushing poverty since we prefer to spend money that we don't have.

You don't know your history.

Most of the good infrastructure was denied to blacks under arphateid.

Blacks could not vote under arphateid.

Black education was made backward under arphateid. Many blacks had to go to other African countries, including Nigeria to get decent tertiary education.

And have you heard of the shaperville incident? Do you know what happened to Hector Peitersen?

Bros, I am not happy with the way ANC has run SA, but it was far worse when whites ran the show. Far far worse.

No it won't

Nigeria's problem is resource dependency.

The oyinbos relied on selling our natural resources to help fund the running of the colony of Nigeria, which we continued with when we got independent.

We also got reliant on manufactured goods imported from abroad during the colonial time, which we continued with once we got independent.

As a result we got reliant on importation and refused to rely on manufacturing.

Which led to job loss, and our oil dependent economy.

Dubai is the way it is because the uae has 10million people, and produces more oil than we do
In as much as i dont agree with u 100% u made a very vital and valid point, infact this is the best point i have readhere this year, the U.A.E has a population of 10million pple, and produce more oil,Qatars population is 2.8million,Oman is 4.4million,we keep comparing ourselves and saying nigeria should look better than dubai, how Nigeria has a population of almost 200million pple all depending on oil,if u give Qatar the population of Nigeria now, they will go broke, over stretch thier facilities and run into problems,i know corruption has killed naija, but we need to reduce the dependency on oil,and focus on other ares like u said,we should be doing better than this with the oil money, yes far better than this, but stop comparing all the time.

It's really not their fault. The Northern system of govt was more suited to the british. They couldn't control the igbos easily because they had a decentralized system of govt and the yorubas were just plain stubborn at the time. The northern system of govt was very centralized which made it easier for England to control them. They were also less resistant to the british. The mistake the British made was underestimating the power and impact of Islam and the black man mentality else they wouldn't have invested so heavily in them. The British left and pretty much gave a huge chunk of power to the first set of Northern elites they had mentored and trained. These elites reverted back to the black man way of thinking as soon as the colonialists exited the country. They used the knowledge they garnered to subjugate their own people and keep them in perpetual slavery of sorts.

Nigeria has a population of almost 200million

As a census enumerator in 1991, I can tell you that that figure is grossly inflated. They thought the population size of a place would determine the amount received from the federal government. The real figure will only be known when and if the national ID scheme is fully implemented.

In other words, you accept to be a second-class citizen under certain condition? Well, you're already that. The ruling class are the new colonialist.
