They will never hear they will rather listen to freeze than read d word of God and ask d Holy Spirit to interpret the true meaning of the scripture to them.

What's stopping the pastors from quoting Deuteronomy 14:22-26 if they really want to be transparent with tithing or may be they are afraid of something, which is people may stop paying their tithe to them and instead use it in the house of God like the verse in Deuteronomy says. If it works for you Wren you pay to the pastors, keep it up. But for me, I would pay it to the poor and less previlege having gotten the truth behind tithing and having come to the knowledge that pastors intentonally by-pass Deuteronomy 14:22-26 since it doesn't favour them. 1) I am against monetary tithing, it has no basis whatsoever in the scriptures or in Jewish history.

2) I am against tithing being preached as obligatory on Christians. Anyone can practice it as he or she is led by the Spirit of God in line with the instructions laid out by God...but please no one should preach that tithing is mandatory for Christians. I am against that as well.
