PatEinstEin: You are a potential. With all the proof on this thread you are still hanging on to a slim chance that it might be possible. That's how people get scammed that hope that it might be real. |

You can always detect scam from their very watery construction of memos, letters and mails. They give their selves away from the very sentence . Requesting for payments is just an added bonus to know that these sons of perdition are on you. Them full here sef. |

Just answer ok. That you will wait for the delivery guy. Pay money to get police on standby, once police arrive make sure you beat hell out of the idiot that came to act as delivery guy. Get him arrested and trace his fellow criminals. Only low lives disturb people with this nonsense. |

LMAOOO, it's a scam!!! There're some scans going around. I'm in America and this almost happened to me last week. Scammers contacting me from Pakistan about a job with a mouthwatering offer. They knew my name, location and all . I actually didn't apply for the job but they found my c.v on one website, emailed me I had been hired , asked me to sign a form and send them my photo ids as the first step in the hiring process. Almost did all that but something kept telling me don't!!! Asked around to find out it's a scam!! Some are identity scams, be very careful!!! Had to delete my c.v off that website right away once I put 2+2 together!!! |

EsotericMonk: It’s a scam. You don’t get EAD like that and if your story is true, your gf was not given an EAD and it was not for low level hotelier job. Your gf, probably got an H1b visa for high tech job in the US and after her Skype interview with the rmployer. The employer then send her visa application to USCIS in the US....this take months if not more than one year for approval. After, she set up an interview with the US embassy in Lagos or Abuja, went to do medical screening, police report, etc etc and a stamp was placed on her passport. No courier service was involved, the employer wouldn’t even know she got the visa, since the local embassy that will issue it and the fact that USCIS in the US approved the application does not mean, the embassy will give her a visa; so there is no way she will get an EAD & Visa issued congratulatory message from her employer in US informing of that fact...she is the one to inform them. |

Kobicove:...very true, it's like Banky W SA wedding party only to pay flight and hotel accommodation for cook and crew and event organizers and decorators when he can get equal or better service(s) by engaging the services of South Africans or Nigerian immigrants in SA. However, there is an EXCEPTION to your quote above but the structure of the mail sent and the type of English used in the write up is an indication of SCAM ALERT but I would suggest to the recipient of the mail to be very careful as he/she is most likely walking on a minefield. He/she should contact the consulate in Nigeria. The received mail ough to be personalized like "Dear Juliet" and not "Dear Applicant". Just thinking aloud what size n weight of document would cost 250USD am not talking abt 250USD in Nigeria value but 250USD in America value even if the document is sent as EMS (Express Mail Service/Delivery). Warning ⚠ : The recipient of the mail shouldn't be excited at least not yet by the mail he/she received cuz we tend to reason less when excited and he/she shouldn't be in a hurry/desperate to comply with the mail yet. |

He is not the only recipient of such scam mail. Such mails are sent to as many as 1000 people so imagine there are maybe over 20 gullible recipients that pay the 250dollars. Do the maths. Philipmems: |

I would have been very excited for your brother if I READ that, " We are sending a copy of identification document to your email and the other copy will be at the US consulate. So please print it out and schedule an appointment with the US embassy for final stage of your traveling processing.. NOT "The Diplomat will send them to you through CARGO DELIVERY COURIERS INTERNATIONAL today ." AND the worst part they even announced how much you are to pay for the cargo, do they work together. ..... Of course YES... Oh yes and I even forgot that the US will never approved anything without you being at the Embassy. pimper24: |
