All I know is that the OP has been bought, paid to advertise this post on nairaland. Man those roads are very inferior. Stop bragging about Udom. He ought to do more. Its not his money, these are basic amenities that we shouldn't be boasting of.

At these level we should be thinking about Security, Technology breakthrough etc.

One way of tackling corruption is by making sure that streets and environments where common citizens lives are well developed and I mean well developed. Otherwise everyone will be dreaming of a house is highbrow areas all because they are planned and the implication is cutting corners to get rich.

Uyo, Eket, Oron etc currently has several streets completed and others under various stages of completion. In Akwa Ibom all roads are built under Udom Not just highways.

Do not get me wrong and do not take it personal. After all, if the governor performs better, it is the same people you say love him that will enjoy better.

I do not care about sentiments, the road jobs are shady, not straight. Is that the roads you guys want to drive electric cars and autonomous cars in future ? Every of those governors in that country understand that the world is on a speed lane, yet they embezzle funds and do shady jobs.

Except you are telling me the people at the grass root must always be provided with shady constructions because they are grass root, it is a crazy idea.

Do not support mediocrity, except you are a mediocre yourself. Abi na him money him dey take do the work ? And do you have the right to defend a Governor against my criticism ?

True... They are not as standard as what Akpabio did.

Whose responsibility is it to give people quality living. Please shift. I'm talking of infrastructural development here and you are talking trash. Let them focus on residential areas of common citizens as much as they do that of highways and economy routes

It is obvious that road construction is a very convenient way to cover mismanagement and embezzlement. This man promised industrialization, yet he has gone back to repairing roads constructed by the previous govt...wit a man if his Calibre as governor, one would be expecting official visits from top Nigerian enterpreneur., So far it has only been pastors...Am so disappointed

A Gov. that has 1700km of roads,35 bridges some completed and others at various levels of completion, a 2nd runway at the airport almost completed.
You will find it difficult to convince anyone even a primary one kid that that type of governor just woke up from slumber, thats a product of long term planning, foresight and hardwork. Just wait till may 29th democracy day the gov. is poised to commission 100 roads on that day. a feat that No governor past or present has ever achieved yet, even the APC FG cannot compete with that.

You Ain't seen anything yet, as the Americans would say. Hold your peace.

People like you are the reason politicians take Nigerians for fools. Shame on you.

The wY and manner successive Government r treating the people of Ini Local Govt is so disheartening. Some-a-times I used to wander whether or not Ini local govt is not part of Akwa Ibom State. Look at how Gov Udom Emmanuel just throw a project at Ini, when other parts of the state are having multiple projects. Places like Nkari in Ini has absolutely no access road, no electricity and no water . What is d essence of Government when these primary responsibility of Government to d masses r not archived. Project should be evenly distributed across the local government Areas of the State. Ini local govt is the worst hit of marginalization. This trend need to be reversed.

How many governors in Nigeria has attracted as many industries as Gov. Udom? mention one? i will be glad to put udoms record in that sector in 2yrs 10 months against theirs.
The government of Udom is based on substance not hype his feat in industrialization can not be paralleled by any past government in the state

You can inspect projects without being dramatic about it or doing it for the cameras like one governor who once took a measuring tape to measure only God knows what at a drainage construction site in his state.

Kudos to Gov. Udom for his business-like approach to governance.

Meanwhile, why is road construction the measure of a government's (whether state or federal) level of performance in Nigeria? One government after the other always look to outdo each other in that regards at the expense of affordable mass housing, quality & affordable healthcare (not just 'ultra-modern' structures), job opportunities, pipe borne water & social amenities.

In all honesty, Udom is a silent achiever, we thank him for the Akwaibom - Arochukwu link road, more lubricant to his pivot, he sure deserves a comeback to consolidate on his achievements.

Atouke pls, how far with the International conference center, started by akpabio
does the road connect to arochukwu proper?

Gov. Udom has excelled in many areas of human development in the state in the past 2yrs 10 months, road construction is just one of them. please visit https://akwaibomstate.gov.ng/ for more information on state of affairs in the state.
