I agree with Wole Soyinka,

I told a friend that Nigeria has crossed the rubicon, the fabric of the nation has been destroyed beyond repair.

The common greed of the political elites in what is keeping 'its unity'.

We can only postpone the inevitable,it is a matter of time.

It may sound like a joke, but it is true.

Anybody that is fortunate enough to be educated and still single should start planning to migrate to any country in the western hemisphere for the sake of his future and more importantly that of his/her kids.

God knows, I don't plan on giving my future kids Nigerian citizenship by birth.

If Wole Soyinka endorsed the shit-hole term for Nigeria then the kindest thing that could be said for him is that his intellect has declined with age, glory days long since blended with deem shadows of memories. Otherwise it could be conjectured that he ironically speaks of himself when he talks of running on emptiness (Freudian slip) and his mouth is more comparable to the shit-hole if he can utter such words forgetting the impact on the esteem of millions of young Nigerian children.

Corruption is the bane of Nigeria. It is so endemic in Nigeria to the extent that it has rubbish all sense of our human reasoning.

Despite all this challenges, let Nigeria be restructured politically and administratively then we can start from there.

I personally see no reasons why the north is running away from Agriculture.

The Late Sauduana of Sokoto will be very sad to see that the north that he worked hard to preserve their legacy is running away from Agriculture their main stay.

Down south, there is nothing stopping the yoruba from investing in cocoa their traditional main revenue earner right from the days of chief obafemi awolowo.

The Igbos are traditionally into trading and merchandising. They can reinvigorate their strength in their business or trading occupation.

The middle belt region without doubts are great farmers of which they can double their energy. Benue state that is one of the food basket of Nigeria is now embroiled in crisis with fulani herdsmen.

The Niger delta region before the advent of oil was into rubber, timber, fishing, wood carving and art work. Nothing stop Niger delta from investing in their traditional craftmanship.

Niger delta must realize that THE BIG OIL MONEY from crude oil is gradually phasing out of which they need to THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX to keep them going.

Prof. Wole Soyinka words is indeed food for thought of which every Nigerian must key into it and amend their ways especially the political class.
