You right and i guess it's the after effects of apartheid. Most black south africans hates anything that has to do with the white men including their religion. They believe so much in ancestors. Despite the white men shortcomings they did so much for humanity. Wonder where the African continent would be without the white men.

This whole Apartheid thing started with them (whites) trying to impose their ways on us, from there it went on a downward spiral because we have a bunch of stubborn people in South Africa. You can never convince the Xhosa & the Zulu to do anything. Hence the most significant wars here were fought with the two tribes. The Xhosa especially, they were the 1st to meet the whites but were the last to convert to Christianity. They accepted only what benefited them (education, choral music etc), thus they were often treated as outsiders & often labelled "troublemakers" by the system.

No, the Zulu & Xhosa were not involved in a tribal war with each other (in case I misunderstood your statement or vice versa) , they each fought the Europeans to protect their way of life & their territory.

The weather thing lol. Everybody complains about the weather being unpredictable, but we're used to it, I guess. SA can change weather like a chameleon, all in one day. Always be prepared. The only time I really don't like the weather is in winter. I hate the cold, especially when you have to get up in the morning. Ugh, I hate winter. How do you fare with the cold? I've heard many Nigerians complain about the cold. I used to have one living a few doors away from mine, he brought his mother over around June/July, the old lady was always complaining about the cold lol. I guess because she was confined in the house. Around Spring, I saw her many times talking walks alone to go to the store etc.

What's there in Seychelles? I had a boss from there once, a French guy but he was so obsessed with African culture. Always dressed in those baggy clothes that most West Africans wear.
