The unecessarily long and boring sermon. Repeating the same point in different ways for 3 hrs. Then after closing they will still say please wait for a brief meeting, brief meeting will enter another, 2hrs and if you want to leave the ushers will be guilt tripping you like WTF. So I don't bother going. If you preach you can make your point in an hour. Moreover they say a word is enough for the wise, you don't have to be repeating the same thing using different analogies that are basically saying the same thing
When it's time for offering and announcement they will delve into another topic and stylishly cheep in preaching again. They'll now say to be continued next Sunday and I'm like ogbeni I have laundry to do. I have food to cook, I have deek to keep busy, no dey waste my time

I'm a catholic and it wasn't until I came to Nigeria that I came across warning signs posted on the entrance of the church. I personally think its improper- I mean it's common sense.... which of course as we know is a problem in Nigeria- u should not have to warn people not to dress decently, switch of their mobile phones etc.... it's irritating.... u don't even expect to see it in a catholic church although its seems like a normal thing In some other denominations where I've seen a gate fee posted

Hahhaha, even project Sunday, infact catholic don tire me.

Winners own na indecent dressing, i once sat at the back of a curvy girl, mehn i no hear anything pastor talk,i bn think say na club house i dey sef.

Yet members will always argue that those that dress that way aren't members and will have to change once they're fully welcomed and that i should remove my mind there and focus on preaching.

Mehn are you Kidding me? Which means my eyes no dey function naa, what are the security people doing outside the gate.

Give the indecent dressers the same treatment you'll give to bokoharam members outside the gate, blc as far as am concerned both of them came to church for the same "killing" purpose.
indeed new converts are the ones with indecent dressing in Winners. you can't give them bokoharam treatment. you welcome them first before corrections. meanwhile, I was once ushered to the back in winners on a midweek service, just because my gown was on a knee level. I felt embarrassed. I asked myself, is it because of my complexion? (my fair legs too obvious).

Mehn... I'm catholic and their mode of offerring Is something else.

First collection, second collection, third, sometimes fourth.

Meanwhile, some of us don't have lower currency denominations; I can't give 1k four times na.

I once attended winners' chapel back in ogun state, and up till today, I still can't fathom why they allow girls wear nose rings to church; not to mention short skirts

Haha haha. I'm Catholic too. There's this congregation i go to their chapel every Sunday for mass. They don't have all those groups you would see in a conventional parish. Collection is once. We just come for mass and go. No long announcent.

I find it hard to stay in one church since I left chapel of his glory (back in Ado Ekiti).

Other churches I have attended always lack

The word
Good music
Fine babes
Good structure.
Good sound.

There was one church I attended (CAC) Chai... I wish they can just change their while choir. Filled with old women and dull youths. The service was awesome though (Educated pastor... Something you hardly see in CAC)

**************

I attended coza one time and I don't wanna leave the church auditorium again. Wish I can keep going back there but the distance from my house ehn.

So nowadays I just stay at home on Sundays and watch TV sermon cry

It seems you've not attended any of the CAC English assembly before. Attend any CAC English assembly, most especially DCC HQ(not the yoruba/mother church) to change your misconceptions about boring choir and hardly seeing educated pastors in CAC

I'm Catholic.

I don't really fancy the stress of believing in Mary as an intercessor. I get the reason why and I totally understand the role she played but I don't think it's a compulsion to say prayers such as hail Mary or even view her as an intercessor.

I've tried to believe but my faith can't carry it. Should that make me less Catholic? No.
It doesn't make you less catholic neither does it u more Catholic. Do the ones your faith can carry and move on. No one is taking records of that.

Where i attend mass, it is only once they do collection. Maybe because it's not a parish.

I'd like my Church to stop making Tithe paying compulsory. It's compulsory in the sense that they tie it to some benefits which you can't access unless you pay regularly. That's why there's a tithe card.

I'd also like my Church to stop planting Parishes everywhere without equipping them adequately. This makes the Pastors attached to these Churches turn to mini-beggars by soliciting for funds from people anyhow and every time.

Also, the planting of Parishes anyhow gives rise to another disturbing practise: ordaining anyhow persons as Pastors. Some are too young, too inexperienced, not hot for God, not well-grounded etc.

Again, I'd like them to join the Communion Service together with the normal morning service on Sundays instead of having another service in the evening for It and doing everything(offering, Praise & Worship, testimony, Sermon, announcements etc) all over again.

Furthermore, I'd like my Church to make their universities affordable for majority of the congregants and their wards whose monies perhaps helped in building those schools. It's only fair, right & Christainly to do so.

Finally, I don't think I will ever understand the practice of smaller Parishes and school fellowships remitting a certain percentage of their collections to the National Headquarters or to the General Overseer's account directly. Except there's something I'm missing. Cos I think the tap should flow from full to empty or half empty/half full and not the other way around.

Church members MUST marry only within the church, if you marry someone who is not a member of your church, you are seen a sinner.
That crab sucks!!!!

There is no church name in Heaven, only blood washed saints "from all kindred and tongues and tribes and denomination"

1.offering that ranges from a) Sunday collection, b)offertory,(c)Sunday school collection, d) Thanksgiving, (e)Evangelism support, f) charity support (g) tithe ,(h)pastor support and so on .Everyday Sunday you out to offering plate more that three times and if you don't have you will stand alone while other match out to give offerings
2.Donation we're you will be compelled to pledge what you can't afford at that particular moment. I like donation to be made secret, like bible said when giving that you left hand should not known what your right hand is doing.
3.Breaking out doing a special services and during ministrations and the congregation to soul seed and donations. The ministration that ought to be pure spiritual manifestation.

You can shove your opinion way up your ass till it comes out of your throat.

Not even the Pope can stop me from being Catholic.

I'm Catholic today because I have managed to convince myself and actually believe the practices and doctrine, although not entirely. And that shows I have a brain. I think fro myself. I don't just swallow everything from Vatican.
