Exactly.

Orban has always been a black sheep through this process and is a self avowed Putinphile. He and Erdogan are the only ones that haven't formally signed off Sweden and Finland ascension into NATO. He is butthurt and getting aggressive because EU voted to declare Hungary an electoral autocracy and he promised reprisals. He is using referendum to back Putin, so he can wash his hands and say it's the will of the people. If care is not taken, Hungary membership of EU will be put on the table.

you are a fascist with your globalist mentality do you know that?

Italy democratically elected Someone, You came talking about Neonazi and how the EU will not give them handouts.
When a country decides how they manage their borders from illegal immigrants and other issues, the EU calls them fascist and neonazi. this is exactly why France, Italy, and England thought about leaving the EU.

autocratic bureaucrats should not be dictating every facet of a nation's business.

EU was warning Italy if they voted for a center-right Meloni.
Obama did the same to the UK if they left EU. so these globalists whose ass you kiss with your fascist mentality can call Hungary whatever they want.

Turkish Drones have destroyed Russian Assets more than any other nation. long before the war started, the turkey had issues with Russia where they use their drones to destroy their backed Syrian militia. they are doing the same in Libya. so close your mouth. Germany is more a Russian puppet than Hungary and Turkey. Turkey even shoot down one of the Russian planes that were around the border and Syrian border.

Maybe, If the EU is not prejudiced against Turkey and let them join the EU, things would have changed. you don't see it from that perspective. you must spew the BS these Bureaucrats put in their propaganda machine.

Hungary is not a democracy Eh? they held elections where US and EU grossly interfered but Orban won handsomely with a two thirds seat majority. They want Hungary to take in more immigrants, promote LBGTQ++ nonsense, and all those other socialist ideals leftists dream of. Looks like you will never understand some things. The EU mandarins and the US leftists think of themselves as the elite , they guide us on what is good and best for us. I have heard cases where the WB/IMF/ECB demand countries raise taxes on particular products (esp oil( in order to meet certain loan conditions. When oil is raised the manufacturing competitiveness edge of that country is diminished.
The EU is after power grab, their laws supercede member states EU has done good things though for the developing world .
Talking of which the new Italian PM had this to say about Emmanuel Macron

France recived reparations from Haiti for close to seventy years. They had warships out in the open sea telling Haiti ' What a nice little Island you have there . Would be a shame if something happened to it'

The restored French monarchy, supported by European monarchies, sent the 1825 French expedition to Haiti to demand with military threats for massive compensations: Haiti must repay the French government and former slaveholders the modern equivalent of US$105 billion, later reduced to US$21 billion
The French government finally acknowledged the payment of 90 million francs in 1888 and over a period of about seventy years, Haiti paid 112 million francs to France, about $560 million in 2022.

I did not tell you anything. I only explained to Ben why Hungary is holding referendum on sanctions - as a reaction to the EU vote to brand them an autocracy.

If they were not a beggarly nation, they should hold a referendum on leaving EU altogether if it sure them that Russia can butter their bread better. EU has been opposing a despot and they have been supporting him, so they should pick sides finally.

there is nothing like Beggarly nation. to you, it is anyone who does not bow. Brussels stays in its bubble and dictates where a nation can fish and when in its own water. BS.

Brussels is a big boys club. Join us we make you rich but we shall have a say over your countries policies, laws and conduct. Kinda slave mentality. I feed n clothe you but you shud do whatever I demand of you.
That is self righteousness on the EU mandarins

They know who is buttering their bread by the delta Y of their GDP per Capita chart from when they start associating with EU. Leave fishing talks for fishermen, those who count the money know what they are doing in EU.

I would think their GDP grew mostly from moving from state control to free market. Like so many countries that had gov in every sector.

Their GDP started growing astronomically in 2000 when they got access to EU market, not 1991 when they joined the free world

What did you expect? The West is richer than the Eastern Europe , If you trade more with the EU the more the income you get.
Free trade comes with a caveat though. The West is already advanced and can crush local industries from product superiority and mass production.

Joining the market does not mean giving up your laws to the EU. It does not mean the EU meddles in the internal affairs. More so the EU created the migration crisis in Libya and Syria , leading to mass migration. Hungary - Orban refuses to accept a quota demanded by the bureaucrats and wins four consecutive elections despite massive injection of funds by EU and George Soros

America is not a racist country

America is not a racist country

Democrats invoke racist on anyone who does not go with their flow. Right now they want to portray MAGA as racists in order to win the elections in November. With the FBI and DOJ gladly helping push the narrative.

By subsidlsing their yearly budget to the tune of £5bln as well as granting them unfettered access to the 2nd biggest market in the world?

When the hurricane hits Florida, federal aid will flow into help paid for by tax dollars from Americans across the country. Airplanes will be full of supplies, not stunts. There will be no "us" and "them." Because this is how America should act, and most Americans know it.

The EU is a bunch of countries acting as one to look big market-wise. so the EU needs these countries to expand their market. So don't act like the EU won't Die when France says their regulations are enough and Hungary and other countries like Italy pull out.

So tell us how the EU will stop giving Italy or Hungary the imaginary handout you have been talking about?
