Mine is working fine. 5 months now .The trick is to never use your phone while charging. It was hard to chrge without pressing at first for me but im used to it now.

Well I'm not sure, but try draining the battery completely to 0% and charge while switched off, that should balance it.

personally I'm not a heavy user so
1. the battery dey last well and my area we dey see light like 12hrs in 2 days.
2. I no be game freak so I no know about that one I just get few games wey no demand much from the processor.
3. I love the fact say na near stock android so the UI clean and again the frequent security patches keeps the device secure and up to date.
4. Generally is a great phone, provided you're not a "heavy" user you should enjoy it well
5. I just can't stop using Nokia phones wink I dey upgrade soon sef.
What of the camera, both front and rear? Does it support compass?

I've been using the Nokia X6 for a little over a month and here is my review.. I got it during jumia sales promo for roughly 44k because I won a voucher ... It's the best decision I've made.. the camera is super dope and with Gcam even better ... I initially wanted to go for the rn7 but I'm happy I stuck with this .. the battery isn't the strongest. I have a power bank though I can get seven hours of screen on time most days . The UI is so smooth and free from any form of bloatware or ads .. as for the charging port issues, I got a magnetic charging cord to reduce the friction.. it's the best phone in its price range

my Nokia x5 is barely charging problem probably due to the notorious Nokia faulty charging port .Where can I do the repair accurately and without breaking the bank (x5 is Chinese version and no support from Nokia naija from what I hear ).

You are not alone chief. Same problem I am having with my Nokia 6. It shows that it is charging but no reasonable bar enters after hours of charging except you tweak, turn and fix in a particular way.
Same here, I am tired of this really.
