@sagamite, you talk of the funds being approved in batches by the house of assembly, goverment finance is never done like that, even in the uk its not so, the job of the legislature is to approve the budget of the state in which the state government would have included projects he wants to undertake in the course of that financial year, his own job is now to make sure he follow the budget and implement it to the latter, the legislature will oversee the projects and sanction either the governor or any body found wanting in the course of doing the project, its only that we need righteous politicians who are ready to do what the constitution, i still insist the cargo airport project is not viable in this gateway state, no sensible person or business man will abandon the RORO port, Apapa port and the Tin can island port and head for a cargo airport, moreover Nigerias cargo industry has not been encouraging as the customs duties will make the cargo airport project too expensive.
