Women are still pushing for marriage. They always complain about wanting to find a man to marry. Its men who dont want to get married.

Its because the law does not afford men any special rights like they were used to in the past. Instead , men are expected to give away their possessions in the even of the divorce.

Women have every incentive to marry while men have no incentive to marry. Women are entitled to take a man's possessions during and after marriage while men on the other hand are not. This is because women actively conspire to have marriage laws work in their favor. Women marry men who make more money than they do. And they refuse to marry a man that would result in the woman giving away their stuff.

People are getting used to some things, it seems -
If it's broken, throw/replace it. I know such a mentality need not apply to people, but "working on a relationship" is losing its significance.
The whole "women should just stay at home" stupid ideology is fading away quite quickly. The need of financial support as a result of just a marriage doesn't stick. People, especially women, are more independent and need not need anyone to rely on. That goes for taking care of children as well - in both cases.
"The chain reaction". How many times do you notice the children of a "damaged" family being affected negatively? The emotional turmoil affects their thoughts about marriage as well.
The desire to succeed (financially or otherwise) in their careers. Quite a common factor, I would say. The stress it can put on a relationship can reduce a perfectly healthy lifestyle to dust.
Rushing into marriage. People freaking out about being a particular age and not being married to anyone, and well, most observant in females.
Short-term economic factors. The whole thinking of how we can manage to start/raise a family in such a bad economy and unstable finances.

Some 2.1 million marriages and 943 thousand divorces took place in the EU in 2013.

The marriage rate in the EU has declined from 7.8 per 1 000 persons in 1965 to 4.1 in 2013.

The divorce rate increased from 0.8 per 1 000 persons in 1965 to 1.9 in 2013.

At first glance it would appear that, in common with many Western countries, marriage is in terminal decline in the United States.
In 1960, 72% of all American adults were married; in 2010 just 51% were, according to the Pew Research Center. The number dropped sharply by 5% in the most recent year, 2009-10.
"I think we are on the cusp of seeing marriage becoming less central to our life course and in framing the lives of our nation's children. So I think it is a major moment in that regard," says Bradford Wilcox, director of the National Marriage Project and a sociology professor at the University of Virginia.

Marriage rates has declined from 81% to an obsolete rate of 47% in the US and all western countries in early 2018.

experts have predicted marriage rates to fall to 32% in 7years time.
