Barely 48 hours after the estranged wife of the Deji of Akure, Oba Oluwadare Adesina was bathed with a strange substance by the monarch; her state of health has deteriorated. The wife, Bolanle Adesina who was groaning in pains on Monday, Daily Sun gathered, had been moved from the state Specialist Hospital, Akure to the Federal Medical Centre Owo.

The decision to move Olori Bolanle to the Federal Medical Centre was taken by her family members who were unhappy with her state of health.

Daily Sun gathered that the body of Olori Bolanle, a mother of two has continued to peel, which forced her family members to request for her transfer. The estranged wife of the Akure king had earlier told our correspondent that she would challenge the monarch’s unruly behaviour at the law court.

Olori Bolanle who spoke in a telephone interview, said: “I am not going to treat the matter with levity because he infringed on my human rights. He ordered me out of his house eight months ago and he came to assault me in my private residence.

“If not for the police that rescued me from him, what would we have been saying, maybe I would be dead by now. My family and I have resolved to take the matter to court.”

Meanwhile, prominent indigenes of Akure have continued to react to the King’s unruly behaviour in the public.

The former leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Kunle Agunbiade described the behaviour of Oba Adesina as repulsive and uncalled for.

Mr. Agunbiade said, “the Action of Oba Adesina is not only an embarrassment to himself but the entire Akure people who are noted for hospitality and good conduct.”

This was definitely a travesty.

I doubt Nigerian hospitals have the technology to cease the chain reaction of acid. Oba should at least pay for her medical trip to UK or US.

Its a well known fact that yoruba obas are polygamous. Most times they dont have any choice in the matter, from what i hear.

THE embattled Deji of Akure, Oba Oluwadare Adesina, on Thursday, broke his silence on his involvement in a street fight with one of his wives, Bolanle, accusing her of infidelity and being a psychiatric patient.

Adesina also accused his estranged wife of being unreliable and a pathological liar who always fought with other occupants of the palace, adding that she had been impersonating him to dupe governors of huge sums of money.

The monarch, in a statement personally signed by him, alleged that the event of Sunday was meant to be a traditional rite to formally remove her as an Olori and to stop her from dressing as one.

According to him, the development angered her, because she did not want to be stripped of her status and resorted to vandalising his vehicle.

“Miss Bolanle Fadeyi was an Olori until about nine months ago. During the relationship, she proved to be unreliable, unfaithful and a pathological liar. She is wild, very promiscuous and engages in physical fights with every resident in the palace. She is a terror and became an embarrassment to the royal house of the Deji of Akure.

“The final straw was the termination of six months pregnancy as she was not sure of its paternity and that of her two other children for that matter. Consequently, she left, claiming that she wanted to live outside the palace as the rules and regulations were too stringent for her,” the statement read.

Adesina added that his estranged wife had continued to parade herself as an olori to the extent of defrauding people, including state governors, of money, claiming that he (Adesina) sent her.

The monarch said the accounts of the incident, as presented by Bolanle, were not correct as she was mentally ill.

Meanwhile, the Ondo State Council of Obas, on Thursday, suspended Oba Adesina from the council, following the alleged shameful street fight that he was involved in on Sunday.
