Minutes later tank is out, evacuating rest of the diesel.

sadly I do not have too many pics for the end of this movie. the Tank was brought back looking really clean on the inside (didn't bother to find out how that was done) We put the fuel assy into it and placed tank back in reverse order. Done with that, we now realised the fuel pump supplied was a perfect fit, but the pipe work had been cannibalised and had to be rebuilt. It took a while, but after 3hours, the fuel line was back to its factory state.

Next was to test the vehicle. Usually the vehicle would be unable to sustain speeds above 60km/hr for 2mins, and would loose power until you let go of the gas pedal and drive really slow (30-40km/hr) Waited until 10pm, and hit the road. Gazzuzz workshop to ajah for insurance, I had one of the bois riding behind just in-case village people where behind the matter.. 20mins into the trip, I was already confident vehicle was fine, and the young man who was supposed to be my insurance started racing with his father o! Well it all went well, no loss of power, There was no power loss all thru trip and back to workshop. Finally vehicle set sail to ibadan oyo state and I have had no complaints. I'm laughing because my ex and I sent at least a dozen of these vehicles to Nigeria and didn't have all this drama! Yes, my ex was a car guru too though by hobby not profession. |
