I remember very well that u have created a thread like this sometime ago, i advised u then to use basic leave nd lime juice to fight it but i don't think u aided to my advise... By now ur vitiligo would have been 50-60% less seen, anyways i wishes u good luck and speedy recovery

Nobody is looking at your lips it's what comes out of your mouth they are interested in. Vitiligo has no cure and it never goes away so get used to it. I know a guy who has the same issue even worse cos it's affecting both upper and lower lips but he's a very successful and social person. Focus on getting your mind right and don't worry about what you cannot change.

no one has it in my family.. In fact I didn't believe it at first because I thought it was a minor discolouration that will clear off after a while but instead it keeps spreading

But on a serious note I think you should embrace it but only after consulting a specialist.

it is going to continue to spread regardless of what you do but you are so lucky you have an opportunity to be extremely unique.

Everything happens for a reason I'm not really a churchy person but I know that for a fact, this happened for a reason and you should embrace it.

My advice bro! Commit suicide! And do it fast! I don't know y a promising young guy like wud b thinking of suicide or u want us to advice u against suicide. Pls do if dat wud make u fulfilled. Any small thin, instead of looking for solution, u hear d clause " I want to commit suicide". Our generation is just a sad one.

My dear pls don't bother yourself with this.
Life is sweet God is aware of what you are passing through and a lady will love you even more than you think.
Consider it a birth mark and believe in your self.
You can practice law even with any diformity talk less of your patch.
Be bold and move on don't let anything hold you back.

Bros this patchy change of skin colours starts when your immune system stops producing melanin. the condition is not life threatening so don't rush to say what you don't know. vitiligo doesn't kill the immune system

Guy i can relate with the feeling and depression associated with this vitiligo of a thing.
It makes one lose his total confidence, mine is on my head (scalp), my back and pubic region, it started in 2012, and uptil today, it is still on my scalp, back, etc. I never barbed a skin cut since it started back then in 2012 till today. This picture attached was taken today before i went for my POP.

Suicide? Guy, that is too extreme. Everyone has flaws, you just have to accept it. There are people living fine with it like Winnie Harlow. I know it won't be easy at first, but you just have to thrive. See, all those people you are worrying about won't care if you kill yourself. They can only say 'Ha, the guy was this, he was that. why did he now do that?' or shed few tears. And that would be all. The people that really care won't see this as anything. Just concentrate on people that loves you and you will be fine. Life is too short to worry about people that won't be of any advantage to your life. And why do you need plenty female friends? You shouldn't feel suicidal because of it, we Nigerians can be quite insensitive (we can ask stupid questions). Winnie Harlow is a famous model who has vitiligo and she's still very confident. She doesn't see it as disease or curse but she sees it as a blessing. Just be confident with yourself, rock your lips the way they are because you look good.
Just let go of any suicidal thoughts, please. it's not good.

I don't know how you feel but talking about suicide is just way out of line. I am sure you still have families that loves you just the way you are or "becoming".

It is on this nairaland we all saw a picture of a girl with chronic vitiligo and she even wore bikini to show it off, if a lady can live with it and become a model, my guy you better focus on other aspects of life and don't kill yourself.

There's more to life than worrying about not having friends or girls. I have a close friend whose girlfriend has one hand, but she's beautiful in her own way. I admire her each time I see them together. Don't take your life man, that thing you have on your lips doesn't define who you are.
